Totally loving the fact that the previous video on AmphibianAvenger’s vimeo page is titled “Chytrid fungus under the microscope”, and is in fact a microscope view of fungus cells set to a lively guitar tune. Obviously a lover of all things natural, whether or not traditionally “cute”.

Oh my god, those little snouts are so adorable that I want to run off to the nearest place where you can spot sloths right now! I love the way sloths look so calm and happy hanging from a tree and barely moving, like little Yodas. And there was once yellow sloths bigger than elephants which is very cool.

A fun fact about sloths is that the hair on the head goes in one direction, and the hair on the body goes in the opposite direction. So pet accordingly!

Love the one that hooked the woman’s finger and is slowly pulling it toward its mouf. But the face of that very last one just cracks me up.
The moist piggy nosicles have slayed me but the leetle guy with the stuffed cow now owns my heart.
Lottie, please accept my condolences for your loss. I hope you have lots of happy bunneh memories to fill your heart.

I have just checked my dining room table. It originally came from a high quality British supplier but no sloths arrived with it. I checked to see if they had fallen off the edge or sumpthin’, but no. I checked the warranty and it never mentions sloths at all. I’m so glad now that I bought it second hand.

I am often struck, when viewing Cute Overload, that there are people on the planet who seemingly have a better job than I do. I know every job carries stress and demands and the grass tends to be green on the other side of the fence that separates my office from a SLOTH ORPHANAGE but …… right now feeding green beans to orphaned bebbe sloths sounds like something I might like to do. What would my title be: Nutritional Consultant, Sloth Department? Director of Sustinence, Sloth Neonatal Ward?

If you have not watched the video, DO! I once had a close encounter with a babeh sloth. He was hanging upside down gazing into my eyes and reaching for me……. and fifteen minutes later was STILL hanging upside down gazing into my eyes and reaching for me. They are truly that sloooww mootion, I loved every loooong slo-mo minute of it! ♥

I don’t get it. How did sloths even survive evolution? “Survival of the fittest” my butt. Do they taste like human waste or what? Did lions & leopards & wolves & crocs & such decide to tell their offspring, “Ugh, don’t even bother, they’re not worth it.”? How did they survive evolution? Were they funny? Popular? Have political connections? Technically they shouldn’t exist.

How did I miss THIS?? So much cute it hurts the eyes. #2 looks like someone successfully combined a peccary with a grizzly bear, and then shrank it and gave it a toy to hug. Squee!
And it seems the kind people on sloth-feeding duty apparently have no fear of placing a row of sloths within inches of applying those gigantic clawses to that lovely, shiny tabletop beside them! I guess they figure they’ll have plenty of time to stop one if it wanders.
