My mother is a retired 2nd grade teacher, and most of her little students were the children of immigrants, who didn’t hear much English at home. The kids would always be delighted with my mother’s vivid verbal style, and they always particularly loved “knuckle sandwich.”

I am pale-skinned and burn easily, so avoid beaches like the plague. Factor 30 just runs into my eyes and makes me go “*blink* “ow”, *blink* “ow”, *blink* “ow”, *blink* *whimper*” ….. ad infinitum, ad nauseam etc. Howsomevah, if there was a bebbeh sloth in it for me, I would be bright pink and peelinks with no problem at all.
Sloths wending their way from me to everybody having bad days, bad lives etc.

I for one, have never seen this photo before, and think it is awesomely sweet!! I come to CO for most all my firsts in Teh Qte! I don’t spend many hours on the internets surfing for better than this so as to come back and say something demeaning. The baby is very cute, but I worry that this baby was taken from it’s mother. I’d hate to think that but you never know how people get baby wild animals. Babies should be with their mothers. Maybe the mother was killed accidentally and the person is raising the baby but I’m not so sure.

Is this a sloth that has been rehabilitated? Did it fall from a tree? Is it in a sanctuary?If you touch a baby sloth, the mother will not take it back.
I travelled in Costa Rica, stayed at a sloth sanctuary, and learned a few things about these amazing animals.
