You probably shouldn’t make your niece wear Milk-Bone PJs, Sonia Z.

  6. Lucky kid. I’m green with envies.

  7. Jimbeaux says:

Awww! You know how much I’d give for a pooch like that to hug?

  8. KittyMarthaPoo says:

    Is that a Labradoodle?

I want a big soft dog to hug me!!!

  9. ok, that is reeeeeeeeeaaally cute. 🙂

  10. I ruv you, Shaggy, but it’s time we face reality about your pot problem…

  11. Michelle says:

Want big giant hugs from white floofy dog….

  12. My grandmother’s Great Dane/St Bernard mix used to greet me like that when I was a teenager. Most times he’d knock me clean over tho!

  13. Whoa. Took me actually quite a while to see there was a kid in the picture! I was wondering what sort of a weird harness-lifevest type thing the dog was wearing. Such a sweet photo, I’m sure they’re the bestest buddies!

  14. dewicasgwent says:

Blondie I was thinking that, what if it were a Newfoundland remeber this

  15. What a lovely photo! Best friends. This pic just warmed my heart. 🙂

  16. +1 for canine-human relations. You wouldn’t see a cat do that would you?

  17. Careful perusal of the photo was necessary to make sure that there actually WAS a kid in there! All I saw was Floof.

  18. Jenn in IL says:

I THINK that’s a Soft Coated Wheaten – I think they’re such adorable dogs. Too bad we can’t see the kiddo’s face; that would have made the picture!

    Adorable as is, though. 🙂

  19. thats is such a cute picture

  20. “Cheers” ref FTW!!! “NORM!!!”

  21. @+Snowy2, actually, I have seen some cats who are pretty affectionate with babies and children.

  22. chillcat says:

I totally love my cats’ hugs, but there nothing like a big fluffy dog hug!

  23. My heart is is a gooey melty mess….heavy sigh!

  24. @snowy2 – one of my kittehs (samantha) will put her arms around my neck and tuck her head under my chin to give me hugs. it makes my heart melt every time. i think it’s just impossible to make generalizations about animals, as they will always surprise us.

  25. Hon Glad says:

    That kid will have happy memories, of hugging an animated hearth rug. :}

  26. frogboots says:

My cat has given hugs since she was a small fry. She puts her arms around my neck and hugs (not just sticks out her arms), and often puts her head down on my shoulder. My cat is perfect.

this is either a huge dog or a tiny kid.
and a headless kid can’t scream or whine, so – lucky people, to have a headless kid AND an adorable dog!

  27. Martha in Washington says:

For a minute I thought the floofy dog was wearing an orange bib and about to actually eat something! I wish I was that kid!

  28. Flutterby says:

    Lovink hugginks…so adorable!

I was thinking (or not) abdominal snow dog. Engage brain before putting finger to keyboard!

  29. OK, so it’s not this awesome giant hug from an awesome giant dog, but my cat is REALLY into hugs. He stands on his hind legs and reaches up with his forelegs and cries to get picked up. Once he gets picked up he wraps his “arms” around your neck and snuggles under your chin. Some chin/nose/ear licking might occur too. All accompanied by crazy-loud purring. And this happens every time you walk in the front door. 🙂

That being said, this is soooooo awesome. i want to be hugged by this doggie!!!

  30. Flutterby says:

Animals do hug. My horse used to hug me with her neck.

  31. Awww, that is SO cute. My dog would love to have a tiny person to give hugs to – leg hugging is less satisfactory (although still actively pursued). We also have a cat who likes to give hugs – he demands to be picked up by certain visitors, and vigorous neck snuggles and loud purrs ensure. He prefers female visitors as they generally have a, ahem, built in shelf on which to stand.

  32. Courtney says:

I require confirmation of the breed, because I am IN LOVE with that dog. Info, please!

  33. @Theresa & ceejoe Heh, yeah I was just being cheeky with the cat comment 😉 I would be surprised if some cats didn’t express affection and attachment like that.

  34. hah! CO, I think you have found a solution to the “ewww, people spawn” problem!

So cute…*looks around to make sure Lulu isn’t looking over her shoulder* That dog looks like it’d be the best dog to hug in the whole world!

  35. I love hugs from pets. My cat gives hugs, too, so it’s not just a dog thing. He wraps his arms around my neck and lays his head on my shoulder, like a little child. It’s really one of the sweetest things ever!

  36. Trabb's Boy says:

  37. Adorable! Who wouldn’t love to be hugged by him????

If I had to guess, I would say labradoodle and not Wheaten…something about the fur is off, not to mention the grooming style. But, the fur just seems more doodle than Wheaten… of course, I could be and have been totally totally wrong before!!!

  38. really cute.

  39. Theadosia says:

I don’t know about hugs, but a friend’s cat (big neutered tom) would climb into the cot and clean their baby, purring the whole time. If the kid wouldn’t go to sleep, they just had to put the cat in there and the baby would be out like a light within minutes. ‘Course, they had somewhat different feelings about the whole thing when the cat started bringing in prey for the baby and trying to teach him to hunt….

  40. I once had a big dog – Malamute/German Shepard mix, who would hug me sometimes liek this. Up on his hind legs he was about my height. But with my friend Linda, who came to visit JUST to see the dog, he would hug her EVERY time.

  41. cute!!!

  42. Theadosia…
That made me snicker, I love it!

  43. “Large, floofy” indeed. That’s an understatement! LOL!

  44. Calliope says:

    @snowy2 – I found some evidence 🙂

  45. He is in fact….druuuummrooooolll……a labradoodle. 🙂

  46. For those of you wondering, Jaxon is a 5th generation Austrailian Labradoodle….I know because it is my dog.

  47. @Calliope – Gosh, that’s pure bliss 😀

  48. @dewicasgwent – LOL!

  49. I like Rah-Roh. — Cute Overload and find the best thing from here. Thanks .
