It’s not often I can sneak a kiss on Robert, my flighty parakeet, but once in a while he’ll get a kiss. He usually snuggles up to my ear and then does his kissy thing.
Try nibbling the back of the bird’s neck with your fingers. That can make some of them bliss out. But then they might try to mate with you, like this kakapo:

Such a cute little lovebird. I keesed both my boids this morning. My macaw (in my avatar) has the most kissable tummy. I dangle him by his toesies and kiss his sweet soft tums. Although if I did that to my cockatoo I would probably require stitches. So I settle for his sweet little head.
Awwwww….I miss my boid…. a budgie named Charlie Parker…He wasn’t much for kissing, but he would bliss out at gentle head scritchings…these zebra finches just aren’t doing it for me
The boidies are also lottsa funs when they consent to talk….. they’ll just yak away, on and on…… Once, (multo embarrassing ), my husband dropped the F-bomb at the bird… JUST ONCE… and the bird remembered it all his days….you never knew when he would say: “F— you, Birdie!!” (oh, the shame of these decadent memories…..!)
