A tisket, a tasket, a sweet little kitty in a basket That kitty is MINE if I could get my hands on her A forever home full of cuddles, pets, yummy cat food, places to sleep like beds and sofas, fresh water every day, and yearly vet check-ups to ensure kitty’s health
(weeping) My sweet darling Stinky was a thrown-away kitten! I hate to think about it, but I never would have had him if some !@##@$ hadn’t thrown him away.
Look into my amazingly gorgeous irresistable aqua ojos. Stare deeply into the verticle eye-slits that are my pupils. You will quit your day job and bring me 100% of your all-day fishing haul. You will do this for me, & for my furry friends. *I now own your soul.*
k i’m going to join in ’cause those eyes are just soooo beautiful! even though i’m allergic i think if i saw that cat’s mesmerizing eyes i’d have to have eet!!
I love the comments on the Flickr page, too: a multilingual explosion of kisses/besos and exclamations of Oh, how cute!/Ai, que mono! P.S. I adore that the way to say “Oh, how cute!” in Spain is “Oh, how monkey!”
I have checked all over the house-no puddies here, *Flern*.
“Flern” is a word of many feelings all wrapped up together- sadness, disappointment, impatience, hopelessness, annoyance, you know, the feeling one gets when there is no kitten in your wastebasket or your car doesn’t start or you find Corgi fur all over your instrument case just when you are late for a rehearsal. *Flern* It is the last stage before one starts flapping one’s arms in consternation- “flap!”
However, “Hope springs eternal from the human breast”- Hope- the Antiflern.
The eye color is “robins eat your little hearts out, because your eggs will never be this pretty”. Which does not stop them from looking like they belong on a googly-eyed goldfish. I guess the basket is her fishbowl?
“You have placed me in a trash basket. Fine. I will now begin planning a revenge so harrowing that the heavens themselves will be shaken. Don’t do this again.”
marthava, thanks for the tip. A beautiful man who takes pictures of cute kittens….Be still, my heart! ♥ However, I would bet that he isn’t as clever and witty as our NOMTOM. Still, he is definitely worth a look…☺
We also had a… well I used to call her our garbage can kitty, because she was found in the 7-11 market garbage can then transported to the coffee shop where a hoard of teenagers feed her junk for a few hours until I showed up to pick up my daughters at which point she became ours… and notably my husbands favorite. he called her little kitty
her name Magneato. She is in my avatar.
and she never got beyond her love of garbage can food… her favorite was pizza, and she loved to fish stuff out of our garbage can.
kittyadventures, my Shira (or Shiraz, if she’s feeling regal, which is often), too, is a fast-food dumpster rescue – KFC, in her case. When I picked her up (with a bucket of original recipe, coleslaw and mashed potatoes, please), she was a tiny mass of wet and greasy black fur infected with every possible parasite known to veterinary science… She now is the sweetest, daintiest, purriest kitty ever, and I love her dearly.
MadameX: Blessings sent to you from myself and SamKitty. (who was on his way out the door from his previous owner. So he knows how it feels to be rejected)
I think the throwaway critters often turn out to be the most loving of all. It’s like they know they’ve been given a second chance and they’re so eager to love and be loved. I’ve got a couple of throwaways myself right now and they are both gifts from the gods.
@marthava (#30): My oh my, thanks for the tip!
Anyone even the slightest bit inclined to enjoy the sight of cute guys cuddling up with kitties deffo needs to check the next picture in the “Crazy Cats” set on the flickr page!!
My Murphy was a throwaway kitty. I first made his acquaintance at the pound, when I met the lady who was dropping him off. He had been dumped on her property and she regretfully could not keep him because she had big dogs. Nine years later, he’s a 20-lb., solid black bundle of purrs, talkative, lovable, and as Rachael said, seems very grateful for his second chance.
I am so glad to hear that you all = Theresa, Katie, kittyadventures, Madame X and Noelegy, were able to rescue those kitties of yours and give them forever homes
@janet2buns I agree with you about some stupid humans that need to experience the horrible fate of being tossed in the garbage can like they did those poor kitties
@Ed I can’t help feeling mad at people who are so mean to kitties
Lolz my family calls my kitty a lil Siberian tiger cauz her baby blue eyes and stripity tail, body and paws xD lolz I’m just so amazed that there’s a kitty tht looks just like her xD
aww, my kitty wasn’t *exactly* a throw away, but close.
she was a free side of the road kitty covered in fleas and not yet weaned. she’s now seven and lovely. >^.^<
ZOMG!! Ze eyes!!
That blue is just UNREAL.
No title?
Yeah, I’m speechless too actually..
Those must be marbles!!!!! Dey KANT be realz!!!!!
That must be some adorable alien baby from the planet of turquoise eyes.
She is so well hidden that she has managed to escape the notice of title and float text.
The fur looks so sooooooooffft. *sigh*
Of course you shouldn’t put them in the waste paper recycle basket. You should put them in the kitten recycle basket. Don’t mix your recyclables.
OMG THE EYES!!!! WOW! Did that kind of blue exist ’til now????
Look into my eyes, look into my eyes, the eyes, the eyes, not around the eyes, don’t look around the eyes, look into my eyes…SNAP! You’re under.
-melts into a puddle- S/he has amazing eyes
(weeping) My sweet darling Stinky was a thrown-away kitten! I hate to think about it, but I never would have had him if some !@##@$ hadn’t thrown him away.
My beloved muttbaby Reeses was “thrown away” too. It breaks my heart to think about it. But I’m glad we were able to adopt her after she was rescued.
:gasp: Those eyes! [thud]
Isn’t that the laundry basket? [falling over again]

Yeah, I’ll keep lookin’!
And Flapping.
OH, yes, “flern works perfectly right after dropping a raw egg on the floor. That is how the word was coined. as in “OH, FLERN!”
LOL @Katrina! XD You are too funny!
Oh, and I am pretty sure this kitteh needs baskethab.
The eye color is “robins eat your little hearts out, because your eggs will never be this pretty”. Which does not stop them from looking like they belong on a googly-eyed goldfish. I guess the basket is her fishbowl?
Methinks the kitteh is close in colour to the basket….matchingks tags, pwetty please, Ed.?
“You have placed me in a trash basket. Fine. I will now begin planning a revenge so harrowing that the heavens themselves will be shaken. Don’t do this again.”
those eyes are definitely radioactive – they need to be recycled with batteries, old computers and the like.
Better check the bottom, but this looks like a #2 PET kitteh. Put it in the right recycle bin.
Holy crap!! You should check out Fernando the photog, too!!! Be still my heart…..!!!….*gasping*
If you throw me out, I shall forever haunt you with these mysterious blue eyes….
marthava, thanks for the tip. A beautiful man who takes pictures of cute kittens….Be still, my heart! ♥ However, I would bet that he isn’t as clever and witty as our NOMTOM. Still, he is definitely worth a look…☺
awww cuteset recycling kitty ever.

@kittyadventures: It’s the stoopid hoomins who need to get thrown into the garbage can, not the kitties.
[Now now, let's not get political.
- Ed.]
I’m absolutely astonished that there’s no nuffing going on about even SUGGESTING throwing cats away.
That said, my baby was left on a doorstep with her littermates in a box, and she eats absolutely everything. She’s our feline garbage disposal.
kittyadventures: Awwwwwwww. She is lovely! And so are you!
Your story caused me to smile. I’m so glad you saved her.
omg!!! tats so cuteeeee
This kitteh could easily be the poster-child for all homeless fur-bebbehs……
)
Gotta go now; (my eyes are starting to leak……
Heh, I was going to make a comment about recycling the kitteh, too, but it looks like you smart people beat me to it.
Flern it!
*BEEP* Thar. Mah nose beep-age crahving is sat-ees-fried!
FLERN! Excellent, Katrina. How’s the orchestra?
Theo’s up! (poke, poke, poke at Theo. “I’m not touching your arm. I haven’t REALLY poked you!) Poke.
kittyadventures, my Shira (or Shiraz, if she’s feeling regal, which is often), too, is a fast-food dumpster rescue – KFC, in her case. She doesn’t like garbage.
And is not fond of chicken either.
Go figure.
