What a Wet Noodle

First of all, I really don’t see how rubber duckies make this process any more enjoyable. And second, let’s be frank – I look like a damp sausage.

Buddy, are you trying to squeeze me out of my casing or something?

Clearly Daisy is more of a land dog. How much do you charge for that blow-out, Jessica H?

  1. Mervtheflamingo says:

    Wet Doggle!

  2. aww, saddest doggie ever! She’s all “I must have let you down somehow to deserve this” 😦

  3. Rachael says:

Daisy looks remarkably like my Zack, right down to the look of betrayal when wet. It’s okay, Daisy, mommy loves you berry berry much.

  4. What a schweeet name, “Daisy!”

  5. Paunchie says:

Yay, a new photo! Not a fan of the chittering birdie thing.

    Sweet face Daisy!

  6. tracylee says:

Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer, do
I’m half-crazy, all for the love of you!

  7. tracylee says:

    p.s., linky no worky…

  8. Sweeet doggie and sweet name, here I am at the office singing:
    Daisy, Daisy,
    Give me your answer do!
    I’m half crazy,
All for the love of you!

Ouff thank goodness every one is out today!

  9. LovesDogs says:

How about a little Chianti, Daisey?

  10. @ 7 tracylee you beat me by that much!

  11. tracylee says:

    haha, sorry Gigi.

I almost named my own doggeh Daisy, but then I realized I’d be walking around the house singing the song ALL DAY if I did that. And I wanted to spare everyone that torture : )

  12. kokobutterbuns says:

I agree Cashew…saddest puppy-dog eyes ever. Even though you can’t see her mouth, it’s so frowning.

  13. She’s beautiful – what kind of dog is she?

  14. tracylee says:

    I’m awating moderation? baroo?

  15. under their majestic floof, dogs always look ridiculously scrawny.

  16. Michelle says:

Oh what a sweet pup! She’s being such a good girl.

  17. Corgi, no?

  18. Definitely a corgi. Looks just like my landlubber boy.

  19. Corgi love! Thanks Meg and Co!

  20. I just haul my Jack Russell in to the shower with me. That way when she shakes out, its not a problem. I am already wet.

  21. Zak Brown says:

What sort of breed do you think Daisy is? My adult rescue dog looks just like that and we have no idea.

  22. Cholmondeley says:

The CuteLabs reject me! Must see the land dog! How do I do eet?

  23. Definitely a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Mine makes that same “what did I do” face when he gets a bath. Poor wet loaf of bread.

  24. TrixandSam says:

Sidebar: A neighbor of mine loved weiner dogs and named them after nuts. At the time I lived next door, she had two, a smooth coat black and tan dachshund named Cashew and a long-haired handsome little pup she named Walnut. It was so much fun to call out to those dogs.

OK, back to Daisy and her utter dejected cuteness. Mwah! I’ll save you from your bath!

  25. such gentle bathing hands!

  26. Mary (the first) says:

Y’all really think it’s a corgi? I thought they had reallllly short legs.. from this angle it looks like somewhat long-ish legs (longer than a corgi, anyhoo)… the only reason I am being this picky is because I WANT one of those dogs and have to be sure I have the correct identification,.. are y’all SURE it’s a corgi? (puzzled look)

  27. Poor wet doggie 😦

Sweetie needs some snausages to make her feel better.

  28. Definitely a corgi. Look at the bottom pic. You can see Daisy’s cute little socky foot. Two inch paw, tops.

  29. tweetie says:

Corgi, corgi, corgi !(chant). From a proud owner of one. 😉

  30. BStrange says:

Awwww! Soggy doggy. I adore the radiant whiteness of her facemarkings in pic #2. The hint of pink and the leetle black nose in the middle of it all, really set it off.

  31. That nose…it’s perfect for beeping.

  32. Hon Glad says:

Who would have guessed Her Maj had such hairy arms. I recognise the bath, from the tour of Buckingham Palace I did last Summer.

  33. This reminds me…my two kids are due for a good bathing. JRT Spryte looks at me just like this, but the Boston Terrier looks like I’m killing her. Silly pup.

  34. Everett says:

Poor Doggie!!!! I will come rescue you with a nice warm towel!!!!!

  35. Sweet Corgi baby!

Every time CO posts a Corgi, an angel gets its wings. Fact.

  36. Jessica H says:

Yay! My baby made it on!!

Yes, she is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. 🙂

  37. Jessica H says:

Go to this link for her after bath experience on video!

  38. Katrina says:

Yup, that’s a Corgula, some of hem like water, maybe not so much with the soap, though! Killer is under the weather, she is on 12 more days of a antibiotic, and she has a fever of 103 and she feels icky-her earsies have icky stuff in them, too. It just bloomed and there wasn’t anything I could do to stop it. We went to Dr. Dr., and she was very good girl and stood very still. Her heart and lungs are ok, with the fever the Dr. was bit worried. So, she is getting lots off peanut butter with her meds and she is being just a bit spoiled, well yeah, you get that, right? Poor, Killer….man….I love my doggett.

Jessica H.! Love the Corgula! I’d love to see her all fluffed out, too! Killer (Abbey) is a Cardigan. Summer, you are too funny!

  39. I soooo knew that was a corgi! I have one just like it. 🙂 So very cute when they are little bubalus!

  40. You seriously need to do an extreme close-up of the schnozzle in the second photo. SERIOUSLY.

  41. OneEyedDaruma says:

um… ‘land dog’ linkage kinda makes me feel outta the loop – more than bleen definitions… is it mis-linked, or am I just not worthy?

  42. JannieWolf says:

Love that ear flapping sound. My aunt has a 9 yr old Corgi named Buddy and he’s just as playful and awesome as he was at Daisy’s age.

I can’t believe my Budder Duder is a senior. 😦

  43. cafegrrl says:

She’s adorable! I love those eyes. They make my heart melt….

  44. Andi from NC says:

So cute! Thanks for sharing the video! By the way, I’m fascinated with all of Jessica’s hair tools – you go, girl!

  45. Heather says:

Some dogs you don’t even need to bathe to make them mad:

  46. So cute! My baby Schipperke has yet to have her first bath. Just know she’s gonna hate it.

  47. @ Jessica H – she’s beautiful! A corgi – lately I’m in love with Corgi’s. They’re so cute!

  48. What a sweet face! The nose is too cute. Owner looks gentle.

  49. Awesome yet damp corgige.

  50. Trez4400 says:

Daisey looks like my Buffy when she was a pup, Buffy looks like a corgi on steroids now

  51. Francesca says:

Daisy! Such a cutie. You look just like my girlie Roxy, and yes she gets that exact ‘This Sucks’ face in the bath. Baby Corgis are great, but they also grow up to be Awesome Dogs. You are in a great club Jessica H. People lucky to get Pemmy kisses.

  52. @tracylee:

My Mom’s Beagle is named Daisy, and we sing that song to her all the time!

  53. marthava says:

Methinks (along with several others) the “land dog” link is wonkish.

  54. Looks like shes waiting for the moment he lets go to spring for freedom.

  55. Melinda says:

I love the name Daisy for a goggie. She fits it well, too! She’s a pretty little Corgi! And now she’s fresh and clean as a daisy, too! Squee!!!

  56. Wet Pup: “but . . . why? I don’t understand.” It’s ok, sweetie, after the trauma is over you will feel so much better.

  57. Love that look. Just like, “Okay, I’ll go along with it but…Are you sure about this? I’m not sure this is a good idea.”

  58. reminds me of my dog 🙂

  59. I shouldn’t have clickied on the video so late. I’m having to stifle giggles. Daisy is so CUTE! She’s got the same face as my Cocker when she gets her bath: “But– but WHY? What did I do to deserve this?”

  60. After Killer has finished be antibiotics and the Vet gives her a clean bill of health, she will get a bath, no doubt about that! After being such a good girl after the “L’affair smelly-dog”, I’ll try again in the bathtub.
