Born on a truck headed for a slaughterhouse, Angelo was on his way to lamb-chop Heaven when a sharp-eyed passerby begged the driver to set him free. Now in the care of Farm Sanctuary, he’s a sproinging, munching, pig-sniffing bundle of joy.
Video provided by Farm Sanctuary.

BEST REQTE STORY EVAIR
I love the cows at the end. They’re clearly jealous of his awesome sweater vests.
and a mighty-fine red sweateuw and a
SMILING PIGGIE?????????
(Grabbing wallet at warp speed to GIVE ALL MY MONEY NOW)
I love farm sanctuary. I adopt a turkey every thanksgiving!
I think leetle Angelo has a better wardrobe than I do!
And what a brave woman to rescue him.
Awww so many darling things.
Sproing sproing sproing! Yang Yang Yang! (repeat repeat)
Snort snuffle “That’ll do Lamb, that’ll do.”
Moo cow Mamma’s @ the back fence, “Awww, what a sweet lil’ lambikins you are!”
ANGELOOOOOOOO!!! I love Cute Overload and I love Farm Sanctuary.
Angelo better watch out, Pepe le Peu might mistake him for his stylishly dressed girlfriend!
leap! leap! leap!
love the interspecies-love; those cows and pig were so very smitten with that youngster. would love to visit farm sanctuary some day. right after i get back from best friends in utah…
Pig face is priceless. As is that little pounce at the end.
the road to vegetarianism was paved with good intentions.
Little, limber lambs leaping lightly to lively music?
Lovely!
so sproingy! and spring-y! ah, I love lambies.
Just reading about the possibility of . . . makes me
uncontrollably
Oh gosh. Ain’t he a little cutie. Love the white spot on top of his head. And the way the BIG cows are looking at him!!
*SPROING-OING-OING-OING*
He Frolics!
Lamby in a sweateau!!!! Tiny Lamby and biggy piggy! Cows cowtowing to him!
Baby lamby makes me feel almost poetic — and almost hopeful for Spring.
Angelo, does no one know,of the chains that bind you so
Angele, can no one see, that your heart belongs to me
I can’t really find it better, that you wear a wooly sweater
Sorry if I’m sounding glum, but wear a sweater, wear your Mum
@Colleen, he frolics, capers, gambols and cavorts!
Omg, this is exactly what I needed today….. love the pig smiling lol!
PS: Smiley peeggy!!
Angelo Lamby McLambersons is too cute for words!
EVERYone loves to watch baby critters, even other critters!
Angelo looks delicious :-9
In all seriousness he is soooo cyooooot… *prancy prancy bouncy bounce*
OMG the sproinging! I can’t handle it!
Who knew lambikins’ legs were made of springs!
sproing sproing sproing LEAP! sproing nom sproing sproing
@ Theresa:
Proposed new cute category . . . Any animal that frolics, capers, gambols and/or cavorts is cute.
I usually watch videos on here only once and then done, but I can’t stop watching Angelo. He’s awesome!
What a sweetheart!! Lambies are really lovely. Clearly, the pig agrees. The cows, however, seem to disapprove. Perhaps they’re suspicious of one so energetic.
The smiling pig! The brown eyed cows! The bouncing!
This is MY heaven!
Um, make that Rule of Cuteness®.
I think the pig-sniffing part was so cute my heart actually stopped for just a few seconds.
And little guys like him are the reason I’m a vegetarian.
Woolly jumper!
[Sorry. Couldn't resist.]
The wonderful thing about lambys is lambys are wonderful things…
That filled my heart with happy!
The cows were hilarious! NOW what’s he doing? Harumph!
The munching of the clover flowers! The little black sheep nose sniffing the camera lens! I’m also glad I don’t eat adorable critters like these (not that they HAVE to be adorable for me not to eat them. But it doesn’t hurt).
So this is why I’ve been so tired on this Monday afternoon. Some little lambikin stole all my frolic.
Is it possible to get a still of Angelo and the smiling piggy? That’s one priceless shot!
1. Makes me ashamed to be a carnivore.
2. He’s the personification of joy and springtime!
3. Lamby + peegy = adorabuhls
Baa, baa, black sheep, have you any wool?
Yes sir, yes sir, three bags full.
And I used it to make this lovely wardrobe of excellent sweaters to keep me warm while I bounce around…
A lamb in a sweater. Irony!!
And yes, the pig-kissing moment was so cute my heart almost stopped for a second too.
Welshcake gave me the giggles. My immunity was low after watching Lamby Bouncykins.
BOING
Oh my God…this just strengthened my resolve to go vegetarian this year (trying, so far down to 1 meat portion per month). I love you, hamburger and kebab, but I think animals can do so much more than we let them and simply cannot stomach an Angelo on my plate after watching this video.
Like the cows. Possible caption for their appearance:
“what the….?”
“That is not a calf…”
pretty cute…the smile on the pig’s face when he is sniffing Angelo is just priceless.
Awww! I’m so glad he didn’t end up lamb chops. The piggy part was soo funny! So were the cows… “Moo??”
March sproinged in like a lamb!
Reminds me of an Enid Blyton picture book I loved as a kid: ‘Drummikin, Drummikin, have you seen Lambikin?’
I vote for lionettes roaring out on March 31st…
Always take time to stop and eat the flowers.
The smiling pig needs a spin-off series of his own, or a huge part in the movie sequel!
All I can say about that is…BAA, RAM, EWE!!
boing Boing BOING !!!
l thought they only moved like that in cartoons!
Too much for me–I have been slain by teh Qte. Angelo is certainly potent…
@Banquo: I had that same phrase going through my head!
Gotta love that bucking(ks).
So, to recap the video: boing boing boing boing, nom nom nom
boing boing boing nom nom boing nom nom nom nom boing boing
The curious pig snuffles were cute, too. That’s a very well-socialized hog if they can just walk right up to it and interact like that.
We need a bovine version of “Baroo?” for this video.
[I'd say "Maru" but I suppose that's a reserved name, round these parts - Ed.]
The snuffling, SMILING pig made my eyes tear up a little from an overdose of Happyqte.
Also, Sproing. sproing. sproing. sproing. sproing. sproing…
OMG, Boing!
Like I always say: Thank God for gutsy passers-by. Heroes!
And P.S. proud to say I’ve never eaten lamb and never will. There are certain foods I had no interest in tasting growing up, so why start now? There’s plenty of other things to enjoy. Let all the lambers sproing!
Wheeeeeee!!! We should all be so happy and joyful!!
WAAAANT! No, NEEEEED a little lamby-spring baby like Angelo, angel mio. Am ded.
I wish all farms looked like that…
Lambie Sweater!
That is all.
Susan, I’ve started adopting turkeys, too! I’ve got Gideon’s adoption certificate on my fridge.
I love seeing the pics of the turkeys digging in to sweet potatoes and cranberries at the annual feast in their honor. Thank goodness for people like Gene Baur.
A door a bull!
OMG, he’s wearing a sweater! Too cute!
A wonderful thing is a lambie
A lambie’s a wonderful thing
His top is all made of fleeciness,
His bottom is made of springs!
ROFL… Love the cows at the end.
how legit is this charity? I e-mailed a request for more info, as I would perhaps like my birthday money to go there. If anyone has any info, I’d sure appreciate it!
@ Theresa: niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice!!!! kind of a Jabberwocky feel, there
Farm Sanctuary is the best. There’s one in NY and another in CA and I recommend a visit if you’re near either.
Awwwww!!! LOVE the sproinging!!! Also, my puppeh loved it too, he was wiggling his little butt while watching it :p
Sue – wouldn’t a bovine version of ‘Baroo?’ be ‘Ba-moo?’ And a sheep version would, of course, be ‘Baa-roo’.
I’ll get me coat.
A Tigger thing….I get it!
OMG, that is just what i needed to start my day. A sproingy lamb that is happy to be alive, that has so much energy, on a day like today (in MA) where the sun is shining, the cows looking, the pigs smiling and Angelo…being Angelo. What a cutie pie. Makes me happy to be a veg* for 15 months now, and to know i shall never see the likes of Angelo in my house other than in pictures, videos, or sanctuaries.
Long Lives Angelo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So when Angleo is following the human, it sort of reminded me of the credits at the beginning of the Courtship of Eddie’s Father, with the son following Bill Bixby-dad around. Or so I think I remember it as.
I checked out the website to Farm Sancuary and it is inexpensive to sponsor animals there. At the risk of being disapproved of
I have sponsored a rabbit!
Theresa – *applauds*
found it
best TV theme song evar
omg i LUV how the cows are looking at him!!! lol lol
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Seriously, I could NOT stop making squeaky noises every time I saw him bounce around. And the smiling peeg is the greatest!
@gravyboat I’ve had a couple friends who have interned or worked for Farm Sanctuary, and they do good work. Well worth supporting.
That piggie touching noses with Angelo looked just like me touching noses with my kitty, the same goofy smile.
Oh great, again you fail CO! Again you FAIL at providing warnings to sensitive people like moi, just publishing videos like this. There I go, watching an ubercute Angelo.. when a smiling pig appears! Without a warning of any kind! I’m so ded.
When I’m done being ded, I’ll sue you.
Never eating lamb again. Period.
I LOVE Farm Sanctuary! I’ve been a member for oh, ten years or more. PLEASE support this wonderful non-profit!
dub1,
Being reminded of an Enid Blyton picture book and maybe her other books, reminds me that I have published a book on her, titled, The Famous Five: A Personal Anecdotage (www.bbotw.com).
Stephen Isabirye
sproing. Sproing. SProing. SPRoing. SPROing. SPROIng. SPROINg. SPROING!
Makes me want to put on a sweater and jump over things.
doomchild: you might wanna contact QoD and her four-legged employer
SamKitty. He’s an attorney and can write up a mean clause!!!!
Buckin’ Awsome!
You can become a fan of Angelo on Facebook (lots of cute pictures):
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Angelo/319447760453?ref=ts
[Fixed the URL. FaceBook is seriously weird about linking.
- Ed.]
awesome story, what a personality! I am so glad someone saved him!
Dear gawd, the sproinginess! He should win the oscar for best film sproinging.
(blushing)
@ SB: am I allowed to live in the United States, if I “don’t do Facebook”???
And followup question: can I still be a fan of Angelo, without Facebook?
Happy, happy, happy; Dans, dans, dans; Woot, wOOt, wOOt; Go, Lambie, go……!
Resriechan, they haven’t kicked ME out yet, so I think you’re safe. No cellphone, no Facebook, no ipod… Meh!
Yay I love Farm Sanctuary!! Great vid!
@gravyboat
Farm Sanctuary is a really great charity that does a lot of very good work for the animals. Little guys like Angelo make me even more happy than I normally am that I’m vegan. You go, little guy!
I call interspecies snorgling! That was definitely some hamlove going on.
I concur that the sniffing of the smiley peeg is beyond cute, but the shot of all the cows with their “What the HELL????” looks is what kilt me ded.
I think it’s more of sproink! Sproink, sproink, sproink.
Lamby boy is adorabuhls to the n-th degree!
BStrange: HIGH FIVE, baybeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
(bStrange/ ps: I have a print copy of a NYT article called…
The Cellphone Refuseniks….
among other aspects, it states approx 5-10 % of ‘mericuns…..and I’m
PROUD to be in that number.. both an ‘mericun AND c.p. refuseniks)
I’m still smiling after seeing this.
omg sproingy sproingy sproing! farm sanctuary is so awesome. I just want to kiss this little lamb on the nose!
Resriechan – *dons c.p. refusenik badge* Yep. I like being unreachable for part of every day. It cuts down on being bothered by people who are perfectly capable of spending those same ten to fifteen minutes figuring whatever it was out for themselves.
Clearly, I was a cat in a former life. *vanishes to the top of a bookcase somewhere*
