Make No Mistake, The Cat Did It.

She told me she was disciplined in interior design. How was I supposed to know that she’d “fringe” all the slipcovers and then blame it on me?

That is one crafty cat, Wendy C.

  1. lucky Cliff says:

this kitteh is the number one interior designer!

  2. Awwww! I love doggies & kitties getting along (‘cuz mine don’t). 🙂

  3. happypiano says:

omg what a devilish face that cat’s got on. o_o

  4. I know this is what my Buffy dog and Joey cat do when I’m not there. If Buffy could talk she’d surely blame everything on Joey.

  5. I think we need a kitteh tongue-hance, surely that is a little pink tongue I see

  6. Kitteh is all, “Dis is my big brudder. You gots a problem wit dat?”

Ears that are way too small for the animal’s head – shouldn’t that be a rule of cuteness?

  7. What the heck? As cute as that kitten is and as put upon the doggeh looks, I’m distracted by that gray’d out exercise equipment.

Either it’s in a parallel dimension with a slightly different phase discrimination or it’s a wall paper? Maybe it acclimates you to the gym?

  8. oh, that little pup face is so sad and sweet!!! his little furrowed brow is so worried….

oh and may i be the first to say…

    [Double BEEP. – Ed.]

  9. Oh my god – that looks EXACTLY like our dog!

  10. malevolent kit
smiles, but her designs are trump’d
    by duvet-matched nose

  11. I think the dog finds the irrepressible happiness of the cat depressing.

The grayed out equipment intriques me as well.

  12. Ok, two in a row? The corgi looked just like mine, and now the kitty looks just like my grown up cat. 🙂

  13. Dog: “please halp I am cats hostage!”

Cat: “Everything is just fine heres. Move along human.”

  14. that is GREAT picture! 🙂

  15. Please to be noting that Pup’s eyes, AND ears, AND nails match the duvet as well.
If a triple win is called a Hat Trick, what do they call a Quadruple win?

This is a classic sibling portrait, the older teen sibling is “I’m so over this.” and the younger one is all, “CHEEEEESE!”

    LOVE it.

  16. Big brother, little sister? So sweet! Yup, definitely need some tongue close-up-ness.

  17. Kitten looks like he is smiling!

Kitten: I loove playing emo music really loud!
Doggie: *sigh* What happened to good music like the Ray Conniff Singers?

  18. I’m waiting for the inevitable Pussyfoot comment.

  19. I think we should have a Big Little category. Or Little Big. Something like that.

  20. Asianzheng says:

Love, love the smile on the kitteh.

  21. Oh THAT FACE! That looks like a fun kitteh

  22. I’ve seen a lot of peculiar looks on cats’ faces, but this one looks as though it is quite insane.
It’s my birthday today, and when I left the house I told the cats that I’m expecting a big surprise from them when I get home. Now I’m thinking, though, maybe that’s not such a good thing to say to cats?

  23. lol @ skippymom….I hope it all works out, usually the only surprise I get from my cat is a big ol’ hairball….
LOL at Kiity face!! It’s smile is priceless!

  24. Oh noes Skippymom, you do realize now that the moment you shut the door they grinned at each other and high fived and said, “Carte blanche baybee!”?

    Happy Birthday anyway. 😉

  25. i love the proud kitty smile

  26. Kitty tongue-hance please!!!

  27. Fluidstatic says:

I’m greatly surprised no one has mentioned the fact that this exuberantly smug little kitty appears to be smaller than the dog’s HEAD. Smug plus tiny equals me going “SQUEAK…” *dead*

Also, happy birthday, Skippymom. Here’s hoping your cats don’t make party confetti out of all of your toilet paper while you’re away. xoxox

  28. This pic could be used on Sesame Street to demonstrate the difference bertween both “Big and Little” and “Happy and Sad.”

  29. okay, i’m sorry, but i thought my haiku was quite prosh, and it IS haiku friday, and i even played on the hovertext for crying out loud, and i just want to be loved, is that so wrong????????????

oh, and happy birthday, skippymom!!!! i hope you DON’T get any presents from your kittehs. 🙂

  30. that puppeh is rockin Rule #17!

  31. Oh, Aquamarine,
Your haiku is sweet and clever.
    Yes we do love you!

  32. Sorry, syllable overload there, but the it’s the thought that counts, right?

[Swap “clever” with “smart” and you’re good to go – Ed.]

  33. Kitteh can come decorate my place anytime and stay as long as he pleases! 🙂

  34. I’m amazed! Your dog looks a lot like my Sam who disappeared awhile back. He loved cats and used to pal around with them in my backyard. Many days I would look out the kitchen window to see Sam and two or three neighborhood kitties lying in the sun wrapped around each other. Your photo brings back good memories.

  35. Hippo Birdie, Skippymom!

Look at those ears on that dog!

You widdle stinker kitty! (scoops up and smmooches)

  36. Thanks Skippymom!!! 🙂

*settles back with donut holes and Librivox, feeling content and appreciated*

  37. Kitten is smiling
    At aquamarine’s haiku
    It was very prosh

    ❤ @ aquamarine 🙂 🙂

  38. Such tiiiiiiny doggie ears, too!

  39. Aquamarine, I had to look up LibriVox, I didn’t know what it was. (And I call myself a librarian???) I thought it sounded like one of those, you know, “calming” medications. Big oops, have to have a laugh at my own expense over that one.

  40. The best kitty face, ever!

  41. Patricia Aquino says:

omg!!!! how adorable i love it !!!!!!

  42. Argyle Donkeypants says:

    “Fringe” is in the “House.”
    Patient can’t be diagnosed,
    Then he disappears.

  43. happy birthday, skippymom!

and aquamarine – thank you for making me look up a new word today. I do so love learning!

  44. what’s up with the ghosted tony little gazelle?

  45. May I nibble on those delectable-looking, dumpling-like triangular earses on the doghound? Please?

  46. thanks to saffron and ceejoe for the praise–can you tell i was the teacher’s pet? shameless, self-serving praise monger that i am.

skippymom, librivox is how i get through the day (in my well-trained monkey library job), and now i love it even more that i can imagine its also being the latest purple pill from glaxo-smith-klein–HA! what are you doing to celebrate your B’day?

“miss, just take two librivox every four hours til the hallucinations subside….”

  47. Big dog with small ears – check.
Small cat with big ears – check.

  48. Aquamarine, I’m going to get some Thai take-out, and then I assume I’ll spend most of the evening cleaning up whatever surprise the cats arranged for me. If you can spare a couple of livrivox, I’ll pop them so I can be mellow while dealing with the dirty work.

  49. HB, skippymom! And Librivox totes sounds like one of those meds-they-advertise-on-TV. May cause headaches, dry mouth, and insomnia. Talk to your doctor about whether Librivox is right for you.

This kitteh is the dictionary definische illustrasche of “evil kittenhead.”

  50. BabyOpossum says:

    Krazee-Eyez Kitteh!

He will stomp on your world, as if his name was…Godzitteh.

  51. sure, he ya go. i recommend taking them in conjunction with a bubble bath and a nice dry merlot….

  52. Torchwood phoned about your exercycle.

    [ 😀 – Ed.]

  53. Evil kitteh grin is awesome 😀

  54. puppy says i swear mom i didnt do it , kitty says did what ?

  55. That dog honestly looks like a negative of my black shar pei mix. Little ears and all! So cute!

  56. Fleurdamour says:

I loves it when animals smile. 🙂

  57. Happy Bithuthtithutthday Skippymom from the Steppes of Central Connecticut where it is currently snowing like a Currier and Ives lithograph!

  58. Thanks, Katrina! Got any concerts this weekend?

  59. catloveschanel says:

@Saffron, the following song was written by Ray Coniff
(Dog sounds like Jimmy Durante – Kitteh does the yeah’s)

I’d like to teach the world to sing
in perfect bar- -ooooooo – my (yeah)
I’d like to hold it in my hands and keep it company

    (haiku took a hike
    cuz i couldn’t do it
    that’s the song I sing)

  60. @ Skippymom Happy hippy hoppy birthday to You…

Watch out for cats bearing gifts(lilac brings lizards to me… EEEEK!!!)

    and @Aquamarine Excellent Haiku!

Sends Wave around the CO stadium for Aquamarine and Skippysmom!

  61. A very qte and fluffy birthday to you Skippymom.

  62. That pup looks just like a shar pei mix I had years ago! He also liked cats, but didn’t like any people except for me.

  63. Resriechan says:

    1) me likes the pic. Me espeshe likes the big/ little; little/ big ideeeeeeeeeeea

2)Me wishes happy hoppy to skippymom. Me reco’s that skippymom talk to QoD before opening the door to residence; she can tell you in which corners to catproof your entrance…

    3) Me wishes you blisteringly hot wa-wa and frothy, glittery bath bubbles
(unless you only want lukewarm water; that ain’t MY poisonal cuppa, but it’s YOUR birthday!!!)

  64. i just love the pic that dog has the smallest ears i have seen in a dog and that cat is all smile cant get more cuter

  65. Queen of Dork says:

The kitteh looks like it’s laughing! The mouth sort of has that Joker from Batman look.

Skippymom: Happy Birthday!! 🙂 Yay! I hope you didn’t have to clean up what I did this morning. Sam left a nice, slimy hair/grassball streak right in the path from where I have to walk from my room to where I turn on the light in the diningroom. So there was no seeing it in the dark and no way to avoid it in a half asleep stupor. My day started out by stepping in barfed up cat sick. In bare feet. *sigh*

  66. Resriechan says:

    @ Q:

but ….as the phrase goes, “you LOVE your job….”?????? and “you feel needed….”??

  67. Queen of Dork says:

    Hi Res:

(check yer e-mail, ma’am.) Yes, I do love my job as SamKitty’s person-who-does-everything-for-him. 🙂 I really didn’t like stepping in the yuck but I loves me kitty!

  68. THIS KITTEN is exquisite. He is also like The Kitten Who Thought He Was a Mouse:

  69. Kitty’s mewsmile goes all the way up to her eyes! The dog’s facial & ear proportions! Oh my frog, they look like a living CARTOON. *faints dead away*

  70. …I have the sudden, dead-certain thought that I really don’t want to know why that comment rates a mod-wait. Meanwhile, happybirthdaaaaaaaaaaaaay skippymom!!

  71. kibblenibble says:

Skippymom: ♪ Happy Birthday to You! ♪

I second all the love of the teeny dog ears and smile on kitty’s face! 🙂

  72. Is that a sharpei???? Very cute couple

  73. catloveschanel says:

Happy Birthday SkippyMom, may your kittehs smile like dat one.

I’m on my third piece of Apple pie, reis and bStrange.

Apple pie all around for Skippymom’s birfday

  74. …that kitteh is EVIL. EVIL, I tells ya.
    But adorably so.

Happy (slightly belated by now) Birthday Skippymom! 😛

  75. Why thank y– *is struck by random realization* …The dog is apple pie filling-colored. Even has the cinnamon. Beauty!

  76. How could you blame that adorable kitten even if she was the culprit?

  77. Queen of Dork says:

    Hi Peeps!
(I hope this link works). Here’s a flower for you all. 🙂 Not only is Echinacea beautiful to look at, but it’s also good for you! So it brightens the long winter days AND fortifies the body during these long, long, long cold and flu months! *prepares Echinacea tea for everybody*

  78. At least the kitty chose a duvet that complemented the color of the dog! Kudos.

  79. AAwww that kitteh is SMILING! The dog looks bored, though.

  80. Juniper Jupiter says:

How could a kitten so adorable and so tiny…have such an evil grin like THAT?

    That…that’s just creepy.

    Cute, but creepy.

  81. Queen of Dork says:

Yeah. What breed of dog is that? Nobody has said. Here’s how much I know about dog breeds…when I first saw the picture I thought it was a Pit Bull. What is it?!

  82. The kitten looks soooooo happy

  83. QoD, that is such a peaceful flower! And echinacea tea is a real lifesaver. 🙂

As far as breed goes, pit/lab mix or something along that line is the best I’ve got. The more I look at him the more I’m reminded of Grimm from the comic strip “Mother Goose and Grimm”.

  84. Beautiful pic…Love the kitten’s big smile, too cute…

  85. Thanks for all the wonderous comments I shall pass them along! The doggie is a rescue dog supposed to be a sharpei mix. Kitteh is just a happy go lucky gal!

  86. Who else thinks that kitten face needs a closeup

  87. @Wendy C – Shar pei mix… Aww, it’s Satchel! (Shar pei/lab mix, for anyone unfamiliar with “Get Fuzzy”)

  88. *wields the pen of correction* Er, rather, shar pei/duck tolling retriever mix, but the original design concept for the character was “and lab”.

  89. Queen of Dork says:

    Hi BStrange!!! 🙂

  90. Queen of Dork says:

Dudes: I’m so watching a scary movie. Here’s how silly me and my daughter are: We both have to go to the dentist to have work done next week. Yucky, scary work. (me, more than her) So our idea of fun is to Netflix the movie, “Dentist and Dentist 2” So that’s what I’m watching now. Dentist. Right before I have to go to the dentist.

  91. fifthsonata says:

Time to play the game………..Which animal got into your Prozac!!!

  92. 😆 That kitten is making a face because it knows the dog will protect him/her 😆

  93. Glad im not the only one who noticed the pure TAKE OVER THE WORLD evil in that kit. It is the some look my rats get when they know they were busted but not even trying to play innocent. Hah

  94. Oh my heavens. It is Satchel!

  95. Jay Peteson says:

Is it just my imagination or is the cat smiling?

  96. Kar!!! It IS Satchel!! But this kitteh, though obviously maniacal, seems far too young to be Bucky.

  97. Cheezeball says:

Damn that is one evil looking kitty. Good shot though!!!

  98. Wowee evil kitty is all like “I shall take over the world” and doggie is all “There he goes again!”

  99. Fleurdamour says:

    The dog looks horrified.

[By the direction of the gaze, I’m guessing New Hairstyle Fail 😛 – Ed.]

  100. Hey Nate, the kitty has your “friendly” smile!
