teehee. I do wildlife rehab and despite the fact that I’m not a 13 yr old boy, I can’t help but snicker to myself whenever someone brings in a bird and I get to say, “Oh, I see you have a bushtit there.”
Also, I was intrigued to see the side-views of the birdies in the links, so I could actually see their long tails. In the initial post, they looked nearly tail-less, since it was just a full-frontal photo of the tits.

It is probably white and floofy, cos it’s been a bleedin cold winter, even in mildish Britain (we usually get warm air from the Gulf Stream) and white to camouflage him against the snow.
I have first hand experience of Google rude results, I was doing across word and the clue was something like…The daughters of Agamenon…” I Googled” Who were the daughters of Agamenon” and got the result “Meet my daughters and their hot tight p***ies” and it wasn’t pasties.

@cyberpunkrocker: about 6 years ago, my husband, my grownup daughter and I visited our cousins in Vienna. We also did a lot of birding. We got into the elevator in our elegant downtown hotel and I was talking about all the “great tits” we had seen in the hedges near the Hofburg. Other passengers, clearly German-speaking but English-understanding, glared at me — and my daughter was wildly embarrassed. I tried to explain to the other passengers that it was the English name for one of their birds, but I couldn’t remember the German name (fyi, it’s Kohlmeise) so I am not sure I convinced them. Ever since, we have had a family agreement not to name the bird. We just call it “the default bird of the Austria trip”. Kind of like calling “Macbeth” “the Scottish play”.
