My mother’s pit bull cross Olive took great care of “her” two baby cats. My mother adopted the kittens when they were only seven weeks old, and the dog treated them as if they were her own babies. The dog would let the kittens steal kibble from her bowl and bat it around on the kitchen floor, and they’d all sleep together curled up on a chair. Too cute for words.
Is it just me: I’ve seen plenty of bloodshot eyes on dogs, but never on cats. Must be a benefit of getting 16 hours of sleep a day.

I remember getting a baby chick as an Easter present when I was a little girl and it would follow my dog around the house and the dog was terrified of it!
