C.O. Celebrity Scandal Watch!

Tongues wagged this week as papparazzi spotted superstars Britney Ears and Hugh Jackrabbit at a romantic getaway in Tahiti, protected by their bodyguard Bruno.

Dahhhh, nothin' to see here, move along...

Well, I never, Carly R.

Comments

  1. Hey, look at the cute leeetle bun…ohhh. Oh my.

    Carry on.

  2. Ahahahah… .there’s a lot going on in that picture. Poor doggie’s looking a little… I dunno; is that embarrassment or confusion?

“I don’t get it. This is where puppies come from? Bunnies playing leapfrog?”

    Or maybe…

“I came to see if they would play tag with me, but all they wanna do is leapfrog!”

    Poor puppy.

  3. Queen of Dork says:

HOLY CRAP! That dog looks exactly like my late sister’s dog, Wasichu!!! Chuie, is that you? Was this picture taken in or around Seattle?

  4. I’m amazed that the dog is just chillaxin and isn’t chasing the bunnies, and even more amazed that the bunnies are not at all worried about the dog…”Honey-bun, don’t mind that big predator over there…” This must be one happy family…

  5. @Nikki
Yea, REAL happy. Well, two of them at least.

  6. [nothing to see here. move along. nothing to see, nothing to see...]

  7. Queen of Dork says:

Okay. Threadnab I guess ’cause this has nothing to do with this picture but…my cat is freaking me out. He was staring into a corner. I mean, really staring. He does that sometimes and I’m sitting here wondering what in the heck is he staring at? Is there a mouse over there? A bug? A Vinegeroon? An evil zombie? A spirit of something? What?!!! What the heck is he staring at?!

  8. Q of D, cats do that sometimes. Maybe a spirit or a bug. What’s a vinegeroon?

as for that picture up there, won’t somebody THINK OF THE CHILDREN??????

  9. My heavens to Betsy!!

    *averts eyes

  10. Reminds me of mine- one girl in the whole house, everyone is fixed, and yet all the boys want to do is ‘play leapfrog’ with her. Poor, poor girl. D=

  11. Queen of Dork says:

Metsakins: A vinegeroon is a huge, scary looking bug that lives here in the desert in the summer. It really is too cold for them to be out and about now but I get paranoid when my cat stares like that and sees things I don’t see. I once posted a picture of the dreaded Vinegeroon on this site but I will spare everyone and not do that again. Peeps kind of didn’t like that picture.

  12. I gotta know too – what the heck is a vinegaroon?

  13. OH, never mind – looked up vinegarroon on the wikipedia. NOT CUTE. Ewwwww…….

  14. Queen of Dork says:

    Birdcage: I know. *sigh*

  15. Yeah the vinegeroon is NOT CO material. *shudder* And QoD yes cats do that sometimes. My late beloved Pumpkin (sweet ol’ marmie boy) was staring above my head in almost terror one time (I was about 10) but I saw nothing. I’d still swear it was a spirit of some sort for I can find no other explanation.

And the look on the pups face in the above photo? Priceless.

  16. This reminds me of a joke I heard yesterday at Thanksgiving dinner.

A lady had two pet squirrels, who were well loved until they passed away of old squirrel age. She wanted to remember them always, so she brought them to a taxidermist. The taxidermist asked, “so, do you want them mounted”? She replied “no, just holding hands”…

It sounds better when my crazy dad tells it.

  17. @Zanna! That just tickled me to no end. ROFL

Doggie looks confuzzled. But he sure has some meaty looking turkey thighs on him – just perfect for nomming. And I love his little mouf. <3

  18. Might need a new category of anthropomorphic expressions: ‘Derp?’ for the dawg and ‘Guilty guilty guilty’ for Hugh Jackrabbit [who may of course merely be performing a life-saving Heimlich manouevre on the bleached blonde].
‘I’m a baaaaad dog’ as a category title would be specist and anti-bun.

  19. Heather in Oregon says:

@zanna…that joke would have made milk come out my nose, if I was drinking milk

@ the dog in the photo….I kind of have to wonder if he is telling the papz, “I wasn’t watching the celebunnies! and no photos!”

  20. QoD……

    *SCREEECH*!!!!!!!

We have a bug here (that I refer to as the “alien bug”, but I think it’s just a pine beetle) that seriously creeps me out…
but… that…. THAT… vinegeroon. OMG. That takes the cake. I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night. Oy!

  21. Real bodyguards wear pink.

  22. P.S. The vinegaroon? By all that is QTE, that thing is U-G-L-Y, it ain’t got no alibi. Like a cross between a scorpion and a spider, with a little cock-a-roach thrown in for good measure.

  23. kibblenibble says:

Snerk! THIS is why I love CO.

  24. i just love this picture the doggie looks so inocent while the dirty bunnies are doing theyre stuff lol

  25. Argyle Donkeypants says:

Get your minds out of the gutter, people. All that’s happened is the white bun was leading the grey one in a game of tag and stopped short to pick up a quarter. Grey bun was too busy singing along to Eddie Rabbitt on his radio and didn’t put the brakes on in time, and kaboom. Happens all the time on the freeways here. Sheriff Doggeh is just there to write a citation.

  26. catloveschanel says:

    I think we’re alone now,
Doesn’t seem to be anyone ar – ou – hound
I think we’re alone now (Camera Flash)
The beating of our hearts is the only sound.
Look at the way, we’ve got to hide what we’re doin

  27. wildviolette says:

They are just doing what bunnies are well known for doing! Nothing to see here….

  28. AD!!!!!!!

Just t’other day, Queen of Dorks & I were producing anxiety about why we had seen NO posts from several wonderful CO peeps lately ….Were your ears buzzing? You were the first one who I mentioned wondering “where ya been, lately”?????

Have you been okay? Sure hope so! Sure have missed you & your consistent cleverosity !!! Do TELL!!!!

  29. (in case it’s not obvy — by “AD” I meant Argyle Donkeypants!!!)

  30. Queen of Dork says:

    Hi peeps.

Gosh. I made a point NOT to post a picture of the vinegeroon this time because of the havoc it caused when I posted it before. Alas, I see that the curious minds of you smart, info seeking peeps has caused you to look it up for yourselves! :) You all are the funnest bunch of people ever! :)

Yes, they are really frightening but I’ve only ever seen them twice and only on the street (and one was dead), never in my house. (I have quite a stock of bug spray).

  31. Do the buns get an “eehhnn”? ;>

  32. Oh my!

  33. I second that!

    (I have a doppelganger!) =D

  34. Argyle Donkeypants says:

@ Resriechan, thanks for the shout-out. I’ve been stopping in at CO daily, but rarely commenting, other than the out-loud “Awwwwww” and a chortle, snicker, or guffaw at the brilliance of the usual suspects. Between travel, doggeh training, ferret wrangling, and singing the End-of-the-Fiscal-Year Blues at work, my creativity is pretty much sapped. But rest assured that I’m out here, perfectly safe, fed, and contented, and my donkeypants are as argyle as ever.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving.

  35. Space Cowgirl says:

I see what you did there!

  36. @ ArgyleD: :) :) :)

Many happy returns of the day, to ya!!

  37. (ps — also @ AD: hmmmm…..”Ferret wrangling”????

THAT sounds like fertile ground for a CO pic, all by itself!!!!!)

  38. Black bunneh almost looks like a bun I once had named Spunky, except his ears were shorter!

  39. >___>

  40. earlybird1 says:

Oh my ever-loving goodness, THAT’s what a vinegaroon is. ECCCHHHHH! I used to live in E. Africa, and once a creature like that crawled up the wall next to my bed, and I never knew what it was. Until now. THANK GOODNESS they aren’t venomous. But still! *shivers* How. disgusting.

  41. Queen of Dork says:

Earlybird1: Did you run screaming from the room? That would have been my move.

  42. earlybird1 says:

ALMOST! I had to hide my screen while navigating back to CO as quick as possible. Then my connection was slow. DAD GUM IT ALL! I’m OK now though.

  43. Queen of Dork says:

earlybird1: I meant when you saw one in real life crawling up your wall in Africa. (shudder). Did you run screaming from the room when that happened?

  44. earlybird1 says:

OH. Well, I had to capture it or else it would have run who knows where, only to LEAP on me in the dark some night. So I grabbed a bowl and trapped it, then put it outside. To this day I don’t know where that presence of mind came from, because in every other situation I would definitely have run screaming away. Probably the fear of letting it run loose in my room prevailed. UGH!!

  45. Queen of Dork says:

earlybird1: Wow. You are brave. Very, very brave. If I ever see one in my house I think I’ll probably just move to another state.

  46. earlybird1 says:

Yes, I am not an arachnid fan. Anywho, bunny love is a much cozier topic! :D I love the “caught in the act” look in the male bunny’s eyes! WAHahahaha!

  47. resriechan says:

    @ QoD: In re. your input/ solution # 45:

Bwa. ha. and furthermore, “ha” also!!!

  48. Queen of Dork says:

Man, I really wish I knew who this dog is. She really looks like the dog my sister had that she had to give away when she became ill. I’m so adoring the soulful look in the lovely brown eyes!

The grey bun does look like, “uh-oh.”

  49. Dear Queen of Dork,
Hi! We’ve always said at my house that cats can see fairies. So when they’re staring at nothing, it just means there’s a fairy in your house :)

  50. Queen of Dork says:

oddrey: Cool! I like that thought very much!

  51. QoD, T.S. Eliot solved this a long time ago:

When you notice a cat in profound meditation,
The reason, I tell you, is always the same:
His mind is engaged in a rapt contemplation
Of the thought, of the thought, of the thought of his name:
    His ineffable effable
    Effanineffable
    Deep and inscrutable singular Name.

  52. Queen of Dork says:

    taj: AWESOME!

  53. Queen of Dork says:

PS: I so love my cat! I like to think of him talking to fairies and contemplating his name! He’s so silly and cute and bossy and funny and fun!

  54. Typical celebrity behavior! Shamies!

  55. QoD – honestly – I don’t know WTH is wrong with me…

Let me preface this by saying, I have a morbid phobia of anything with more than 4 legs…and less than 2 for that matter.

Please explain to me why for the love of all that’s qte, furry and snorglable did I google-image the vinegaroon?!?!?! Seriously, I screamed, and almost started crying.

*sigh* my oldest daughter (18) swears I’m a frakkin’ spaz! SMH

  56. Queen of Dork says:

ButtaRumCake: I really did not mean to start this scary vinegaroon thing again. I didn’t post the picture but I just mentioned the thing and peeps started to find it on their own. They are really creepy. I hope you’ll be okay. :)

  57. We’ll be fine…traumatized, but we’ll live…! ;-)

  58. Queen of Dork says:

    http://www.dailyyonder.com/files/u2/dy-indiana-wildflowers500.jpg

Here are some beautiful flowers to help scrub the bug from your eyes/brains/memories. I shall not mention the V-word bug again. (look at the flowers. The pretty, pretty flowers.) Ohmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

  59. DaytimeDeb says:

Oh so many things are running through my head with this pic. Like, should it be tagged NSFW? And things like, this is why you never ever take pictures/video of yourself nekkid or um, ‘doing it’ because someday they may end up on the interwebs like these two bunnies here, and the pics will live forever.

Oh, and QOD: While I do believe cats can see things we mere humans cannot, I also think they sometimes stare at nothing on the wall just to mess with us. My dearly departed Elvis and Sam would both stare at the same spot until I got up to look and see if something was there. I swear, when I turned back around they were giving eachother high-fives because they got me to look. Oh and Sam was slipping Elvis a $20 because he bet Elvis I wouldn’t look.

  60. earlybird1 says:

@QofD: Beautiful flowers! *erasing vinegaroon, replacing with lovely scenery* Ahhhhhhh.

  61. Thanks QoD it’s all good! I horked down another plate of leftovers and the tryptophan-coma set in…I dreemed about that chunky little morsel of a Frenchie on his wee little back honk-shu’ing the holidaze away…in a bed of flowers

  62. Britney Ears + Hugh Jackrabbit = NO. The Jackrabbit is waaay out of her league.

    Love you, Hugh Jackrabbit! <3

  63. @catloveschanel: Wow! An ’80s flashback!

@taj: Love that musical! (Sorry, haven’t gotten to reading the original…..)

  64. Kathleen in Canada says:

I just googled the thing that shall not be named. No, the other “V” name… not Voldemort… and holy carp that’s one heck of a reason to move!!! I like living somewhere my cats can eat the arachnids (and I don’t have to worry about the arachnids trying to eat the cats).

  65. That’s a beautiful dog, I love the look in his eyes, as if he’s saying “man, I give up. Whatever.” I like bunnies, but they need to get a room! Guess who will have to look after those bunlets? Bruno, that’s who!

  66. Queen of Dork says:

ButtaRumCake: Sorry but it really cracked me up when you said you almost started crying!

    Kathleen: :)

  67. OMG, I am 99.99% sure this is one of the siblings of my dog NaTasha, in fact I’m positive. They look pretty much exactly the same, and they are mutts. Same ears, eyes, fur markings, even the way the fur layed out on the body.

I need to get a good picture of my dog and submit it.

  68. QoD:

in re. the wildflowers thinggie: “WOW! Now THEM’s some right-purtee flowers, theah, ma’am!”

  69. TrixandSam says:

OK, so I usually read the comments for every picture posted, but for some reason I held off on this photo. Don’t know why, but something kept telling me, “no, don’t go there” even though I loved the picture (esp guilty grey bun). This morning I finally gave in and read the comments and what do I come across???? A mention of the V-thing! AHHHH!!!!!

I should have listened to my Spidey-sense.

  70. Queen of Dork says:

TrixandSam: I know. I accidentally started that up again by mentioning it. I really didn’t mean to. I didn’t think before I posted that comment! I didn’t think peeps would look it up but I should have known as many people who comment here seem very intelligent and intelligent people seek out knowledge. Oh well. :)

  71. QoD: *whew* we needed those flowers, thanks! *hug* :-)

  72. Bunnies bonking, its what they do !

  73. To the person wondering if this is your sister’s dog… We live in Vancouver, BC. I adopted her from the SPCA almost 4 years ago and she was a stray. So there’s a possibility. The shelter named her Dakota. She is an amazing dog and excellent with all the rest of the animals. (I also have another bunny and a guinea pig and rats). The grey bun’s name is Ben and the white one is Lola. Doing what they do best. :)

  74. Queen of Dork says:

Carly Rae: Oh. Thanks for that information. I stared and stared at that picture last night until I got to the point where I had to stop because I was starting to feel melancholy. She looks SO MUCH like my Lulu’s dog! When I thought more about the time frame, I don’t think that could be my sister’s dog because that was such a long time ago and I don’t think a dog could live that long. But she COULD be one of Chuie’s children. Chuie had a huge litter of puppies.

  75. Do you know what kind of mix she might be? My best guess is Shepherd, Heeler, Hound maybe? Maybe some Golden Retriever?

  76. Queen of Dork says:

Carly Rae: I’m not even sure exactly where my sister got her…she lived in Michigan at the time and I lived in Maryland but I know Lulu said she was part Shepherd. Other than that, we didn’t know. I eventually ended up moving to Michigan with Lulu and we attempted to walk the North Country Trail, with Chuie, to the West. Which is how we all ended up in the Seattle area. (Bainbridge Island). That’s where my sister became ill and sadly had to give Chuie away. This was after Chuie had her big litter of pups. This all happened about 15 years ago.

  77. Oh wow. Well our best guess is that Dakota is about 5 or 6 years old, so probably not a direct descendant. But who knows, maybe shes a part of Chuie’s family :)

  78. Queen of Dork says:

I like to think she may be! She’s beautiful and looking at her brings back the fondest of memories. Such as Chuie bursting into our tent after being skunked and me taking her into Lake Superior for a tomato juice bath. And of her playing in our yard on Bainbridge. I used to have a cool picture of her jumping for joy there! Anyway, I think your Dakota is lovely!!!! Thanks for sharing the picture!!! (And I’ll bet she may be a great grand of Chuies) :)

  79. http://www.youtube.com/user/phishlicker#p/u/6/TpOUxW9Ddu8

Do not click if you think the PHOTO is risque

  80. earlybird1 says:

@Carly Rae: LMAO!!! “Git ‘er, Ben. Git ‘er!” That was TOO FUNNY!

  81. It’s a bunny-porn photo-bomb!

  82. LOL the poor pup looks …um …bored mixed in with a little ” Uncomfortable” ..poor baby

  83. it’d be cuter without the rabbits getting it on in the back :)

  84. Hee hee Carly Rae. The video is awesome. The dog really DOES look embarrassed.

  85. Indiscreet says:

    Poor doggy got photobombed!
