To Kelsey and everyone else who has lost their pets, I’m sending big hugs your way. I, too, know what you are going through, and how incredibly hard it is.

I lost my beautiful Golden boy, Bo, last month. He was taken away from us way too soon — he was only 6. He brought so much joy to our lives in his too-short life, and I believe he’s still taking care of us from wherever he is. Every day, I feel like I’m one step closer to letting go of the pain and embracing the joy that be brought us. That’s his last gift to us.
