The chick looks kinda disappointed, “Like I spend all that time in the egg, then hack my way out, for this! “What is this anyway? some kinda cheep Motel, Oh I see its the Bates Motel, maybe it’ll be OK.
It’s pictures like this that are making it harder and harder for me to eat meat and in Canada it is Thanksgiving so how to get through the holiday without poultry? Still, the picture is totally worth being a social pariah for.
We keep chickens, and the chicks are absolutely fearless. The hens have a special noise they make to call them back. Otherwise, they will literally run up your arm (one of ours likes pecking at a mole near my elbow). You can just hold your hand above a brood, and they will jump up on it.
And hens are excellent mums…I’ve seen one scare off a deer who came over to see what was going on.
AWW What a cute little chichie All fluff until the feathers come and then you know if the chick is male (no tail feathers) or female (tail feathers) We had a tiny Bantum hen who had lost her mate so my Mom let her hatch 4 regular sized hen’s eggs One male and three female chicks hatched GIGGLE Did she chase one hen from her babies almost all the way to the henhouse
@Mary (The First) it is an Aracana or sometimes called americana Chicken.
Most varieties lay eggs that have a green or blue shell and there are a few that lay pale orange eggs. They have beautilful mottled orange brown and grey Feathers when they are full grown. They are excelent hunters of bugs. They also lay about 6 eggs a week when they are young. They are fairly friendly if handled a lot when young.
Aw, what a cutie!!
Can’t believe people eat these (or any other) little guys.
Happy Thanksgiving Canada! Hope my fellow Canadians enjoyed some TOFURKY this holiday.
Tiny bokker looks a bit disapprovingks.
He doesn’t know what you’re up to but he’s having none of your foolishness, nossir.
OhmiGOSH!!! That is disapproval, I detect.

I agree with gryt and Theresa. That’s some powerful disapproval emanating from such a tiny chick! Love his little spotty head!
Aylin, that is one of the stranger videos I’ve ever seen. What on earth does it have to do with this little bokker?
Wish I could see his furry nubby wingtips.

ahn. so softies.
I shall call him Spot.
re #4: WHOA. Psychadelic Alice-in-wonderlandish bunny. Kinda trippy! Not sure how it relates to Tiny Bokker though…
Methinks Tiny Bokker left a Tiny Puddle on the paper towel next to hims.
Cute little chick, but that bunny video…OMG what have these girls been smoking!

“… what’s my line again?”
Is he practicing for an impersonation of Al Pacino, or Tim Gunn?
Awww, I think the little guy looks sad or maybe anxious. Come here little Bokk, I’ll keep you warm and snuggly!
Tiny baby dinosaur!
Don’t worry little dinosaur, it’s going to be okay.

(Note: please refer to caption below photo)
(Right now, my chest is rather larger than I would ideally prefer & there are no feathers at all there.)
Furthermore: Bok bok bokbok bok bok bok bok (etc.)
Signed,
Thanks for letting me get THAT, off my chest.
Is that a chicken joke?
/Jo Anne Worley
“Are those *chicken nuggets* that you’re eating? I disapprove and keep your hands off fo *my * nuggets!” (Plink, plink) Such cute disapproval!
I think he looks sad. Probably because he doesn’t have any wings.
I like it!!! So cute.
Chickery Chick is ME!
AND DON’T YOU FORGET IT, BUSTER!
Future Foghorn Leghorn, I say, I say!
Foghorn Leghorn, my very favorite cartoon character ever..”Nice boy, but he doesn’t listen to a word ya say……” Niiiiiice, Trinky dink!

I’m not a mcnugget!
Meet the bokker.
So this is the Senator Max Bokkus I have been hearing so much about? Huh. Much floofier than I expected.
If this is a kosher chicken, “Bokker Tov!”
(Explanation of obscure bilingual joke: “Boker Tov” is “Good Morning” in Hebrew.)
Aw, what a cutie!!
Can’t believe people eat these (or any other) little guys.

@Juno — That could be why. I don’t have any wings either, and I am also occasionally sad about it.
