It holds cards, cash…plink-plink…and keys.

While useful, there was something slightly disturbing about her new fanny pack that Sheila couldn’t quite put her finger on.

You complete me.

Amelie B., it would be an honor to name him Hawkeye.

Thank you, Prongs, oh thank you, dear overlord, for a slothful new post on this otherwise dreary day!

  2. Katfighter says:

WANT. Sloths are some of the most adorable creatures on this green earth.

And I kinda relate to them.

  3. Can I keep him?

  4. because, by the time they catch up to you….

  5. omg omg omg I LOVE sloths… I mean, look at those adorable eyes and his little smile…

  6. LOL at the hovertext. So perfect. You can see the love in slothy’s face!

  7. kibblenibble says:

My fave Prongs post so far! Sloths are so anerable! And “fanny pack!” Bwa ha ha!

  8. kibblenibble says:

I just noticed the tag “staring contests.” You really don’t want to have one with a sloth, unless you want to lose.

  9. Queen of Dork says:

    caturday? caturday?

  10. That’s an adorable sloth, but I can’t help wondering what those long recurve claws are digging into.

  11. I am slain by the slothy goodness. Slain, I tell you!

  12. Resriechan says:

Should I assume that everyone else IS noticing,
but just choosing not to comment on the lil’ guy’s mirror image, on the Babe’s T- shirt????

  13. Hate it when those straps cut into your shoulders? The new sloth design backpack grips you with it’s unique bendy arms! No more tugging and pulling on the shoulders with this new innovative design!

  14. Part of the new line of Deadly Sins handbags and waist packs! Collect all seven!

  15. much cuter than a fanny pack!

  16. Resriechan, I noticed the shirt, but is that a sloth? It looks more like a monkey to me, which is why I didn’t comment on it.

  17. Cue Flanders & Swann!

A bradypus, or sloth, am I,
I live a life of ease
Contented not to do or die,
    But idle as I please
I have three toes on either foot, Or half a doz. on both
With leaves and fruits, and shoots to eat,
How sweet to be a sloth.

  18. Resriechan says:

@ Amy G– yeah, when I looked it over again, it is more Monkeyish…however its little marble-lookin’ eyes sure do resemble those of the Sloth aka Fannypouch !!!

  19. Love the sloth! Definitely a mcmonkersons on the lady’s shirt.

  20. Of all of the seven deadly sins, Sloth is definitely the most adorable.

  21. Deadly Sins handbags! BWA HA HA!!

  22. skippymom says:

Does anybody remember the children’s book Sylvia The Sloth, by Hilary Knight? (Published in 1969.) You would turn it upside down to see a whole different story going on. I don’t remember it all that well but it was brilliant. No idea what happened to my copy, as is sadly the case for so many wonderful books that my grandmother the librarian gave me.

  23. You can literally see how happy he is! This is such a sweet and touching post. Idk why…but Slothers really got to me! I never remembered sloths being so precious!

    *sigh* It is love!

  24. PaperAirplane says:

If that staring contest is between the sloth and the picture on the t-shirt, the winner in anybody’s guess.

  25. DaytimeDeb says:

    “You complete me” Bwahahaha!

Seriously, if this isn’t interspecies snorgling, then I don’t know what is. This is extreme snorgling.

  26. That smile just made me smile.

  27. Hawkeye! Awww, I used to watch M*A*S*H with my dad every day after school-and at least once every week my dad would tell me about how he once met Alan Alda :) Thanks for reminding me-and the sloth is too cute!

  28. I’ll take two of those waist packs, plz.

  29. berthaservant says:

    awwwww.

  30. *plink plink*

    *sloooooooowly snooooooooorgles slooooooooth*

  31. doomchild says:

His look spells “love”.. simply adorabuhls :)

  32. Awww, that is true love. A hug and a smile make everything better.

Pixy Misa, thanks for the Flanders and Swann – they were awesome!

  33. General Confusion says:

Well now, I think you ammerkins call them fanny packs because it kind of hangs around your butt, but this little creature is hanging around at the front side… near what we britishers actually do call a fanny. On the other hand, we would call those things a bum bag. So I’m really confused and I think I might just fall into the eyes instead.

  34. MY FAVORITE deadly sin!!!

  35. Von Zeppelin says:

J, I like the idea of the Seven Deadly Sins accessories. I’d like a Gluttony lunchbox, please. Extra large, of course.

  36. kibblenibble says:

Well, General, “fanny” pack is somewhat a misnomer, because in the day when they were commonly used, people usually wore them on the front, prolly to prevent theft. So this lil guy is in the proper location. But now if I go to Britain, I’ll be careful about the slang I use…:-)

  37. Queen of Dork says:

I thought the picture was *meh* I wish the CuteOverlords would post something cuter.

  38. rubber duck says:

SLOTH! Sloth! Sloth! They have the most amazing faces, ever.

  39. rubber duck says:

(Now that everyone’s talking about “fanny packs” I’m having unwanted mental images of some kind of female equivalent of codpiece. Disturbing.)

  40. OOOHHHHH – this is so cute!

  41. I now realize my life will be a hollow shell until I’m hugged by a sloth.

    And LOFF the hovertext. Hee.

  42. What a beautiful little sloth! It looks so calm and happy.

  43. So the world stops turning when Prongs compares a puppy to Eleanor Roosevelt, but all is well when a sloth looks like Alan Aida. Have you people no shame?

[That's Alan Alda, with another "L". Alan Aida would be, oh I dunno, a mezzo soprano? - Ed.]

[...and seriously, Prongs, of all possible crushes? Ah well, he was good in A California Suite. ;) - Ed.]

  44. Aww, he looks like he’s smiling! He also looks like he simply adores his huggee. Love the hovertext!

  45. Guys, I can totally see it plink-plinking.

  46. Sweet lord. That’s so adorable. I can hardly stand it.

  47. le sigh. i want!

  48. KittyMarthaPoo says:

He has such a look of love on his little face :)

  49. I’d love to see him in a staring contest with that shirt!

  50. The look of love and sing it like Dusty Springfield

  51. Something from the world of Sloths, ahhhhhhhhh.

  52. I did not realize that “fanny” meant front side bits in Britain! Oh my.

  53. Are we working up to Sloths ‘n’ Racks?

  54. ohh eem gee his eyes are like really adorable :]

  55. The slow sloth sleuth slunk slumping slightly, staring brightly.

Mind you it could be a slender Loris?

  56. Queen of Dork says:

Hon Glad: whoooaah. That was weird.

  57. Q of D – It’s quite hard to say especially if you have loose false teeth. I hasten to add I still have my own teefs.

  58. Love Sloths, Love Monkey Shirts, Love this post!

  59. SKIPPY MOM

  62. Awwwwwwwwwwwww!!!

  63. Aaw!!! I WANT ONE!!! Too adorabuhls!!!

  64. mervtheflamingo says:

    Must……hug……..sloth

  65. Oh, to be on the receiving end of a sloth hug! Those soulful eyes and sweet smile make me feel all warm and fuzzy.

  66. Elisha B. says:

  67. Oh my goodness! How did I miss this perfect little guy???

  68. So keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuuuuuuutttttttttttttt!!! And his eyes DO remind me of Alan Alda quite a bit… definitely seeing the resemblance! I want a sloth too!!
