EEEEK! This is so much like when my Stinky got into the cocoa! He was a black and white cat, and he knocked the cocoa over and rolled around in it. He was suddenly a calico!!

I once had a black foster kitty who rolled around in powdered sugar from donuts that ended up on the floor somehow. She looked so mellow that we later tried valerian root for her. She’s the only one of our cats or fosters who has reacted to it.

When I saw the first pic, I thought it was just a tuxie with weird spots until I read the caption.
I grew up hearing the story about the time when I was a toddler and put talcum powder on the cat because it was summer and I thought he looked hot.
Whereas a grownup kitteh would be busy frantically cleaning it off, I love how in the second pic kitteh is just hanging out in his cornstarch glory…

I have heard cornstarch is good for cleaning things–not sure about a black cat though.
I once had a goofy black cat named Pepper (changed to Pooper thanks to his shenanigans) , 10 years ago this could have been him! Adorable.
I think the cornstarch company should put a picture of Pepper on the box instead of that weird corn goddess lady. I’m sure sales would go up immediately. People might not know what to do with cornstarch, but when they saw the kitty they would damn well know that they needed some.

@Binkymama – speaking of laws of universe, how come when you get dust on your cloth, if the cloth is white the dusty parts appear as black, but if the cloth is dark the dusty parts appear as white?
And how come when we human get dust on ourselves we become dirty, but chinchillas bath in them to get themselves clean?

Fluffybutt- thanks for posting a picture of Truffles! I have a cat that I adopted as an adult, and I always wondered what he may have looked like as a kitten- so far Truffles looks the most like him! I knew he would have been a cute little bean! Truffles is adorable! And I really love Pepper! Squee!!!!!

When i first got Scarlett, I didn’t want her on the counters (I’ve lost that fight looooong ago). But, since I was gone during the day, I didn’t know if she got on them or not. So, I left a light sprinkling of flour on the countertops for evidence. When I got home, the countertops were clean and the dark brown carpeting in the rest of the apartment was covered in little white pawprints. She was quite the busy kitten that day by all the tracks!
In that second pic Pepper looks soooo laid back. Can’t tell for sure, but it looks like Pepper’s paws may be crossed.
And then he cornstarched the couch.
