Cute? …or Not Cute?

Cute: Two affectionate anteaters enjoy a tender moment together.

Not Cute: Two Siamese cats have a little accident with the Krazy Glue.

  3. 260Oakley says:

From whence the expression “Suck face”
And what the hell are these doing in someone’s bed???

  4. GingerBean says:

One of these two has got to be Pua….I love these guys! The lady they live with has the best pics of them on her Flickr account. I’m too lazy to find it and link it, but really how hard can it be to find pet anteater photos?

  5. That is so adorable. Who knew that anteaters were so affectionate. They look very soft too. I love them!

  6. Von Zeppelin says:

“Excuse me, but you have an ant on your upper lip. There–got if for you!”

  7. Haha, I could totally picture the Siamese cats stretching out their faces trying to get apart. Funny!

  8. charliewabba says:

@260oakley – given the circumstances, it could very well be their own bed.

  9. eastiegirl says:

I think this is the first time I’ve found an anteater to be cute, and it’s not just one, but two!

  10. Cool to see uncommon animals too! Amazing animals…

  11. awww…. cute!

  12. That’s some mighty fine nosesicle action…

  13. I could never be an anteater. I can’t keep a straight face…

  14. verdict: SO cute!

heh, reminds me a bit of this sculpture:|Home_Decor|B000FZYY4I&CPNG=home%20decor&ref=tgt_adv_XSB10001

  15. Thats so cute but with the second caption i almost died i just pictured the poor kittens trying to get free lol

  16. Reminds me of the Siamese Elephant sketch from The Carol Burnett Show.

“One of ’em would sneeze, and the other’s eyes would get real big…”

  17. apotheosis says:

Beware when snogging anteaters: they play tonsil hockey for keeps.

  18. T.U.M. – LOL…I loved Tim Conway’s sketches on the Carol Burnett show and that one was one of the best…especially the noise they made when one of them sneezed.

  19. Bara no Mitsukai (used to post under another name I can't remember) says:

I would love to hear these anteaters go “SNORKUM”

  20. DEFINITE CUTE! If only they looked a bit more downwards and they’d make a perfect heart! Awwwwwdorable. 😀

  21. Kendell says:

Tamanduas – I vote CUTE! I wish you could see their crazy anteater tongues!

  22. Snogging anteaters = Snanteaters??

  23. Imagine the french kiss you could get from an anteater. No, wait–gerosss.

  25. Zot! Zot! Zot! (Not a UCI student, but I have many friends who are)

  26. PS No doubt whatever that this is stinkin’ cute. Velvety fur, beady eyes, and outrageous schnozzolas in symmetry?

  27. Hot Tams says:

one of the MOST UNCUTE things possible!!!!!!!

  28. biscuithead says:

    Hey GingerBean,

    You mean these?

  29. awesome.

    meg, you’re one funny lady….

  30. skippymom says:

Wait–I interpreted the Cute and Not Cute descriptions as both referring to this same picture. That is, it’s cute if it’s anteater true love. It’s not cute if the anteaters are actually stuck together because the Siamese cats (not shown) were messing with the glue and they stuck the anteaters together. Mike?

  31. chanpon says:

If they just dipped their snoots a little bit, they’d form a heart!

  32. Taj, Anteaters = awesome mascot. 😉

  33. @Skippymom, NO! Meezers would never be that norty! Would they? 🙄

  34. 🙄

  35. OMG it sorta does look like _siamese cats_ that sorta got their nosicles in glue and they pulled and pulled and pulled till their nosies got stretched a bit. ahn.

  36. I don’t know. The romance seems to be tapiring off.

  37. skippymom says:

Theresa, you’re right, now that I think about it. Siamese are certainly among the most docile and quietest of felines. No way they would ever get up to such mischief.

  38. skippymom says:

Ah, anastasia, now I see it! Of course that’s the joke! (blushes for being so obtuse) My brain has obviously shut down for the day, I’d better go home now and lie down with a kitty or two or three.

  39. alwayscataddict says:

I didnt understand the siamese part until now. It *really* is time for me to go home……

  40. Theresa, how do you do that eye roll emoticon? It’s neat.

  41. Mary (the first) says:

@T.U.M. that was definitely one of the funniest ever.. that’s the one where Dick van Dyke fell off the couch onto the floor, he was LOLROFL so much.. if my memory is not mistaken.
And as for these guys, I say CUTE , CUTE CUTE!

  42. Courtney S. says:

    @t3knomanser: Haha! TAPIRing off!

  43. 1…2…3

  44. Tractatus Blorpico-Philosophicus says:

Loving the orange-pink background decor combo!

  45. This is love. Very cute.

  46. Where on earth do people aquire animals such as anteaters for pets? I’ve wondered this with a lot of animals I see on this sight…hedgehogs, for example. These aren’t things you pick up at your local pet store.

  47. @Nikki, you can see I got it wrong at first. You type a colon (:), no space, the word “roll” (no quotes, no space), then another colon.

  48. skippymom.. yes.. my beautiful Siamese Maximum (yes.. his name is Maximum.. or Maximosis or Maxilicious..or.. well.. you get the idea) is sooo quiet and we hardly know he’s around.. NOT.

And.. to all that didn’t *get* the siamese part until much much later.. I’m in that boat right along with you. DUH.

  49. I luff anteaters!
ooo, and I wanna try that eyeroll face now that I know how… 🙄

  50. @Brenda For hedgehogs, depends on the pet store. One of my friends got a hedgehog a couple years ago from a pet store, don’t remember what one though. It was a more local chain, not a national chain. As for anteaters… I’d like to know where to get one of those, too!

  51. berthaservant says:

This is the “mirroring” technique. “You do what I do” and then you lean closer and smooch.

  52. @Meezer fans, I am acquainted with a woman who found a Siamese kitten IN HER BASEMENT. He just followed the other cats in through the cat door. He stayed because she never found an owner. WHO lets their meezer kittens just walk through other people’s cat doors, and why don’t I live near them?

  53. Theresa, thanks! How’s this?!? 🙄

  54. teho, i know it’s not even close to RCF but could you see your way clear to making those sweet noses bend in a bit to form a heart? it’s soooo close to the perfect CO valentine…in july.

    xoxo, anteaters

[Ask me again on Friday… can’t do it right now – Ed.]

  55. earlybird1 says:

    @pyrit: LOL! XD

  56. @Nikki, just right.

  57. Hey Berthaservant, did you see Rickey’s Hall of Fame speech?

  58. @biscuithead (or cookie ears?): checked out the link and looks like this is Pua and her bed is a playpen. She also wears a spiffy red sweater when its chilly.

    check it out:

  59. @Ffleur, stylin’ sweater!

  60. Get a load of the cute tailio hug action going on! How sweet is that?

  61. 5^^now8ing says:

♥ stretchy Siamese faces image! I’m here with the nail polish remover to help! (very sparingly applied, to protect delicate kitty nostrils)

(Why had a never heard “meezers” before, when we *have* two of them?)

  62. Kirsten D. says:

Whenever I hear about Siamese cats, that tune from Lady and the Tramp pops into my head. “We are Siamese, if you please. We are Siamese, if you don’t please. Boo doo doo…”

How awesome is this?! Ahaha, I love it. Anteaters/Siamese cats = amazing.

    (Also, “meezers”? SO cute!)

  63. I like how their little feets are all tangled up. Also the tail hug.

  64. hon glad says:

With their long tongues they kiss and floss at the same time.

  65. bookmonstercats says:

LOL at the hovertext, NOMTOM. The anteater on the right is definitely sayin’ in – look at his eyes.

BServ, you are such a smoothie……

I’ve heard of ants in my pants, but never an anteater in my bed.

  66. I theenk this is Pua and the late, great Stewie. I love Tamanduas!

  67. Stunbunny says:

Conjoined twins perhaps? I’m pretty sure these two can be separated in India.

  68. Squee! I think I have now fallen in love with anteaters!

  69. test – 🙄

    By the way…VERY CUTE!!!!

  70. “No, they are not cute. Their tongue alone is two feet long.”

  71. Carolyn in New Orleans says:

    STRANGE…may be slightly cute.

  72. Jo – hilarious onion piece!

  73. Jo:

So a long tongue isn’t cute? Does this mean that Giraffes aren’t cute either? What about Gene Simmons? :evil grin:

  74. apotheosis says:

Hey anteaters…if you’re so much in love…WHY THE LONG FACE?

  75. OMG…. tewtally kewt! Weird worms are always the cutest.

  76. Aww, how sweet!

  77. Not cute to ants. 😛

  78. t3knomanser
“I don’t know. The romance seems to be tapiring off.”

    HAHA ha …haaaa you dork

  79. Melinda (not that M, another M) says:

    @getting an anteater;
If I remember right tamaduagirl’s family is connected somehow to a rescute organization. I read her story a couple years ago.

  80. French kiss world record

  81. awww, adorable 🙂
