Finally, Your Prayers Are Answered!

by Not That Mike The Other Mike on May 25, 2009

At last, the wait is over for our thousands of readers who’ve written over the years, demanding to know: When are you going to show a man and a dog doing squats to Beatles music while Jeno’s Pizza Rolls bake in the kitchen? There. You’re welcome.

Feel the burn, Phillip P.

funniest thing ever!!!

3 hipcheck 05.25.09 at 12:18 pm

OMD!

(oh my dogs!)

they need to be eating some ultra-qte presentation of foodstuffs on the, uh, tail end of that.

4 CDAGE79 05.25.09 at 12:20 pm

Well I never….that dog is cheating…how’s she going to get nice and trim leaning against the wall??? Barooo?

5 Theresa 05.25.09 at 12:25 pm

Maybe she’s doing wall sits.

6 Bev 05.25.09 at 12:26 pm

That dog is so cute. We also have a three-legged dog but she would never be able to do squats although she is overweight and needs the exercise. Interesting that the dog backs up against the wall for better balance. In fact, I think the dog does better squats than I do.

Just too qewt!!

THIS This is what I’ve been missing in my life! THANK YOU Cute Overlords! You’ve filled that void I never knew I had. :-D
I’ve watched it like 6 times already! :-D

8 boaks 05.25.09 at 12:35 pm

WOW

9 the hen 05.25.09 at 12:40 pm

That’s how he stays so fit and trim!

10 kibblenibble 05.25.09 at 12:42 pm

Is that a border collie mix? Such bizarre cuteness! Thanks, CO!

11 artgirl 05.25.09 at 12:43 pm

16 nismo 05.25.09 at 1:07 pm

Those tiny doggy legs

17 Katrina 05.25.09 at 1:22 pm

The next picture won’t accept comments, it tell me I 404′d out.
Nu-uh…..

All I wanted to say was “Welsh Rarebit” anyway. (*snerkity-snerk)

18 Katrina 05.25.09 at 1:25 pm

Now, that is one cute (and furry) physical therapist!

19 biff3000 05.25.09 at 1:30 pm

17: Your comment didn’t get that post pulled. Mine might have, tho….

20 Von Zeppelin 05.25.09 at 1:31 pm

I like the use of the tail for extra balance.

21 chanpon 05.25.09 at 1:34 pm

And I thought Buns of Steel for Dogs would never sell.

22 Not That Mike The Other Mike 05.25.09 at 1:37 pm

Katrina and biff3000: No problems with your comments; it’s just that the post was published prematurely. It will be back later.

23 LyhjeHylje 05.25.09 at 1:38 pm

This should be tagged as “cute or scary”; there is something ominous in that lady’s nice, soft and commanding voice. Like those female-voiced supercomputers that always goes crazy in horror movies.
Come to think of it, we can’t see her and Japanese do like hi-tech gadgets…..

24 Katrina 05.25.09 at 2:02 pm

Yo,biff3000, I am not a number, I am “Katrina”! And stop posting questionable comments. *sheesh*! Poor Not That Mike The Other Mike. I love you, NOMTOM.

25 Ladybug 05.25.09 at 2:07 pm

Meh. Would have been better if the doggeh’s front paws were raised and folded behind his head, too.

(Kidding, of course! Love, love, love the haunch action!)

26 meh 05.25.09 at 2:20 pm

they’re doing it for the pizza!

27 kibblenibble 05.25.09 at 2:38 pm

Katrina, or somebody else who knows: What does 404′d out mean? Does it mean you said something naughty, or what?

28 jen 05.25.09 at 2:51 pm

finally. now my life is complete.

29 Not That Mike The Other Mike 05.25.09 at 2:57 pm

@kibblenibble: 404 is the error code for “page not found.” What happened was this: Meg posted an item (“Throw some ‘tocks on the barby”), and for a few moments, the post was available to read. Then she rescheduled the post to appear later in the day, and so the page that was briefly available became unavailable, and attempts to view it resulted in the “error 404″ message.

30 claudia 05.25.09 at 2:58 pm

OMGOSH how freaking cute is that?

31 Estlin 05.25.09 at 3:05 pm

That’s a border collie, no? Smartest dog on the planet. If so, then his/her ability to do this doesn’t surprise me.

32 Ruth 05.25.09 at 4:14 pm

So intelligent, the adorable dog, not the moron man

33 kibblenibble 05.25.09 at 4:27 pm

Oooohhh! Now I understand. Thanks NOMTOM! :-)

34 kibblenibble 05.25.09 at 4:30 pm

BTW, anybody else notice some of the, er, strange related videos across the bottom of this one?

35 berthaservant 05.25.09 at 4:36 pm

You know when sometimes you don’t know what you want for dinner and you go out and you look at the menu and you don’t see anything but then the person at the table next to you gets a big hot plate of, oh, I don’t know Welsh Rarebit, which is on the special board, but not on the menu, so that’s why you didn’t see it, and you’re all OH MY GOD THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT I WANT?

Well, that video is like this except instead of tummy food it’s brain food. Thanks Meg!

36 Wonky McValtrex 05.25.09 at 7:01 pm

Oh dag I was waiting to see those Pizza Rolls – they are one of my faves. But they’re not made by Geno’s any more – it’s Totino’s now. Same great taste.

37 Sarah 05.25.09 at 7:33 pm

Ruth: why in the world do you think the man is a moron? I think he’s a cool dude who knows how to have a good time.
I was a little freaked out because before I clicked the play button I had a particular Beatles song in mind – and the video began with THAT VERY ONE.
Pizza rolls for all!

38 puddlepeppers 05.25.09 at 7:40 pm

Katrina, I enjoyed all your comments. To thine own self be true…
*O0<

39 puddlepeppers 05.25.09 at 8:07 pm

If I could find a personal trainer who would work for pizza rolls…I prefer the dog…like his easy-going approach…
*O0<

40 platedlizard 05.25.09 at 9:05 pm

That’s a typical border collie! Looks like they’re training him to do all sorts of tricks, hopefully! They’re so smart that you have to keep their minds engaged or they get into trouble, lol.

41 gary 05.25.09 at 10:13 pm

the man looks as happy as the dog.

42 cheryl 05.25.09 at 10:17 pm

the caption was just perfect, too, NTMTOM!

43 Fran 05.25.09 at 11:20 pm

HA!!!

44 soxfan413 05.25.09 at 11:50 pm

I wanted to see the BC’s reward and celebration when the woman said “okay!” Damn. The video ended two seconds too soon.

45 hon glad 05.26.09 at 12:04 am

Dogged determination.

46 Vicki 05.26.09 at 12:31 am

What we don’t know is that the woman was acutally giving the commands to the man. The dog was just doing that on his own.

47 Barbarella 05.26.09 at 1:21 am

Bloody hilarious. Will keep me giggling all day, that…. ;)

48 DaytimeDeb 05.26.09 at 2:32 am

See, that’s my problem. I would totally work out if I had a cute workout buddy, one who shows her enthusiasm with a tail wag. I swear, that’s all I need to make me work out more!

49 jackie31337 05.26.09 at 2:36 am

berthaservant …and you’re all OH MY GOD THAT’S EXACTLY WHAT I WANT?

Yes, that sums this up exactly! I never knew this video was missing from my life until I saw it.

50 LisaCat 05.26.09 at 3:08 am

Yowp, almost gave myself a cottage cheese nose lavage! Too funny!! A great way to add some exercise to your day! And what a great exercise buddy, my cats lay around and smirk at me when I work out. ;)

51 Michael Claymore 05.26.09 at 3:36 am

Very educational – i had no idea dogs could even do squats!

52 MrsBun 05.26.09 at 4:42 am

The room’s a bit minimalist isn’t it?!

53 KittyMarthaPoo 05.26.09 at 5:32 am

Awesomeness!!! What a smart dog!

54 Illise 05.26.09 at 5:49 am

lol thats so cute but that dog is not dumb he is doing it against the wall lol

55 Mia 05.26.09 at 7:55 am

Ruth obviously has major problems with her brains.
Lol, I like the idea that the woman is training the man, and the dog is just imitating for fun =^__^=

56 gryt 05.26.09 at 8:10 am

Best pup ever!! Omg…

57 Katrina 05.26.09 at 8:28 am

LisaCat-Small curd or large curd? It matters.

58 Kristabelle 05.26.09 at 9:11 am

I’ll bet the border collie got LOTS of treats for that! Good dog!!!!!

59 chrysanti 05.26.09 at 9:46 am

hhihihi.. the dog is so smart!! Great job, dog! :D

60 Paunchie 05.26.09 at 10:26 am

that’s too freakin funneh!! I didn’t know dogs could do squats either!

I would love to have one minimalist room with no crap in it just for exercise and yoga and stuff. I have too much junk in my house, that’s fer sure.

61 Paunchie 05.26.09 at 10:30 am

and you know, if you needed a physical therapist, wouldn’t be GREAT if you could have them be a cute doggeh??? That would make rehab so much better!

62 Katrina 05.26.09 at 10:49 am

Pauchie-Yes, it would be wonderful! All I ever got was people with The Best of Intentions. Chrikey, that hurts. A doggett would help take my mind off the torment.

But THANK YOU, thank you, to all Physical Therapists out there, I know you have to do what you have to do, even though in my case, (as with everything else), it hurts like hell. NOT ALL PHYSICAL THERAPY HURTS LIKE HELL. They go to great lengths to not hurt you. Go see your physical Therapist and give him or her a big hug and a kiss, they do fabulous and merciful work. Am I out of trouble now, Mrs. Johnson?

63 Paunchie 05.26.09 at 11:10 am

OK Katrina let’s draw up a business plan! Let’s get some dog trainers and physical therapists together and start a rehab center. It’s a great idea! Probably some clever person out there has already combined the two I betcha.

64 celticmusicfan 05.26.09 at 12:33 pm

This is cute!!!

65 5^^now8ing 05.26.09 at 1:44 pm

@ Lisacat – at least your cats don’t try to sit on (or under!) you when you work out, like mine do!

66 Katrina 05.26.09 at 1:57 pm

Paunchie-you know, that makes sense. I sure hope someone takes this idea and runs with it, (I could limp with it, if that is good enough!)

67 R. 05.26.09 at 3:46 pm

NO WAY!

68 bahuguna 05.26.09 at 10:40 pm

poor dog….

69 snuh 05.27.09 at 1:34 am

My favs part is how HAPPY doggeh looks as she stands on her hind legs! Feel that burn, li’l lady!

and yeah Kibblenibble, those “related videos” look horribly unrelated and no bueno!

70 muser3 05.27.09 at 1:42 am

Great video! I saw the “questionable” video links at the end of this video also. I wrote to the website to let them know.

71 Not That Mike The Other Mike 05.27.09 at 5:52 pm

Thanks to all who wrote or commented about the links that appeared after the end of the video. We’ve moved the video to YouTube, which gives us more control over this feature, and disabled the links.

72 Emily 05.27.09 at 6:31 pm

[snicker]

75 Kelsie Jo 06.01.09 at 3:13 pm

That dog is soo cute and funny. I also have two dogs but they only dance.

76 claudiajane 06.01.09 at 5:42 pm

omg!!!!!!

77 Jenn from PA 06.01.09 at 6:06 pm

Haha, that made my day!

How did it learn that trick?? :D

78 Coolio :] 06.09.09 at 9:55 am

LOL!!! That dog is just adorable!! Awsomeness! :] Mia, I also love the idea of the commands being for the man and the dog imitating for fun! That’s hilarious! Katrina and Paunchie- a physical therapist business that uses dogs (and other animals) is a great idea! Personally, I think that would work better than if you only had a human. Seriously, someone *should* take this idea and run with it!

79 Jackie 06.17.09 at 3:04 pm

Let me guess, from Japan? I tell you, the crazy doesn’t just happen in comedic Anime.
