Aw, we have a lots of these little guys running around the Pedestrian Mall where I live. I love chimpmunks! (Or “minkmunks” as my niece used to call them when she was very tiny!)
You have no idea how much taking this chipmunk photo has made my day.
I actually had my camera with zoom with me in the garden when I spotted this lil’ guy.. then I actually got decent “normal” photos of chipmunk to show the folks at home (in OZ) , an’ THEN he stands up all skinny tall and OMG- he looks straight at me. AND I GOT THE SHOT. But most awesome of all , my photo submishe made CO. I have arrived and feel so validated -blush. I have to fess up… his cheeks… they are stuffed with popcorn (plain, unsalted) actually and I think he chose the cheerio as an after thought. And he/she is definitely not a squirrel. You see, the popcorn/cheerio/random food bits is “discarded toddler trail mix ” that I feed the squirrels. I know a squirrel when I see one (and they know me!).
