1. Soak hedgehog seed overnight so ears fully moisten
2. Find sunny spot in garden
3. Hedgehog seed will burrow right in and plant itself.
4. Wait 2 years for maximum quillage. Feed well.
Thanks for the gardening tip Josh N.

Haven’t we seen this guy before? As I recall, everyone was saying, ooh, he needs some hand [foot] lotion?
THE EARS! *dead of cutioactivity
GUH OMGUHHHHHHH
Aww, the floppy ears!!!
I’ve never seen floopy ears on a hedgie, this lil guy is so adorable. Ahn!
The ears! Oh my God, the ears!!
Is that a special kind of hedgehog? I’ve never seen one with ears like that before… They are even more adorable than typical hedgehog ears!
OMG OMG OMG OMG
I echo everyone else: I’ve never seen floppy ears like that on a hedgie. Is s/he special in some way, besides the obvious specialness of hedgies?
how is his face and prickly body so cute and hims feets are so grody?? Don’t throw tomatoes at me.
WANT!
Are these like scoobiesnacks?
What are you meant to eat these with? Salsa?
And how much are these hedgehog seeds? I’d love a few.
Holy crap….. I am going to seriously die from looking at these 2 photos.. DIE! Just look at the little feeties! And the oversized head to body ratio and the ears.. my god the ears!!!!!!! *head ‘splodes all over computer… is dead now*
lookin’ kinda wilted there in the first picture
EAR FLOPPAGE!!!!!!
This is basically a repost !
http://cuteoverload.com/2008/08/02/div-styletext-a/
PROOF!
“Hedgehog tree”? I was almost certain they came from a bush. Or a, you know, hedge.
GAH! Dedifying!
This one actually made me gasp when I refreshed my page and it popped up!
Good point, LolDemon!
Hey, I know a peep named LolHeathen. You guys know each other?
I want to know more about his ears…
Oh my stars…how utterly adorable!!!!! He has such an exasperated look in that first pic!!!! Does workers’ comp cover passing out from unspeakably cute hedgehog snaps?
That li’l guy is VERY cute. Yes, he definitely is.
The little toes are just too much for me.
Never before have I seen a hedgie with such adorable floppy ears!!! Is this a certain breed/type? I didn’t think the hedgehog could possibly be any cuter, and then you show me this, are you TRYING to kill me??
I want to touch those ears!
Awww….they look just like Popples! Does anyone else remember those guys from the 80′s?
It looks like Yoda mixed with a hedgie.
It’s a Corgi hedgie! I’d know those ears anywhere.
OMG so cute and look at these baby hedgehogs even younger – unbelievably cute !
LOLDemon – now you’ve got me pondering the concept of hedgehog topiary!
Hedgehog tree very pretty,
And the hedgehog flower is sweet,
But the fruit of the poor hedgehog
Is impossible to eat
*runs out side to check garden*
NO hedgehogs found – just naughty squirrels eating all my plants
*sighs morosely and goes back to eating cupcakes with the cats*
Obvvy what is needed is a…. SHRUBBERY!
brinnann> I’m afraid I don’t know LolHeathen. “LOLDemon” is just a shortened form of my usual username with “LOL” added on since I use it here and on several lolpics sites.
Ok, I have to say, those are adorable ears, anyone else see the Yoda resemblance? If Yoda were cute and a hedgehog.

The power of the ears is strong – this is an Egyptian Long Eared hedgie!
Waaaaait wait wait, I didn’t sign up for the extra gardening! Aw hayl no!
C’mon, Teho, reduce your hedgehog footprint!
[See, now I'm just confused.
- Ed.]
I think if you live in England you might just find a random hedgie in your garden — I should move there to see if it’s true or not.
How could those ears even tuck into the Hedgeroll (TM)? I submit that they make him extra cute, and yet extra vulnerable to unwelcome ear-nomming…. Excellent!
Surely there is fennec somewhere in his lineage.
OMG look at those adorable ears!!!!! oohhhh this is so cute!!!!
He looks so sad in the first photo! Maybe he’s worried that he’s about to become part of the croquet game on the other side of the hamster bush….(watch out for flamingos).

He looks like something you’d find inside one of those Kinder eggs.
Now we know where hobbits come from…hedgie seeds
Totally adorable!!!
Sooooooo adorable!!!
Soooooooooo just fell in luv!!!!!!!!!!
Cute overload indeed
This hedgehog melts in your hand.
He’s like a cross between a hedgie and a bat, somehow completely boneless…
Cuteness knows no bounds…not even this one.
OK, I watched Regis & Kelly today for about 10 minutes (gah… I have to get a job!) Ricky Gervais was on and he apparently was showing different pictures with stories.. the last picture (when I tuned in) was the second photo of this hedgie. He said, “No story here, just thought that was the cutest picture ever!” Is he a closet CO fan?
He also went on to say he had hedgies in his yard back in England, so Josh N, I’ll see you on Virgin the next Virgin Atlantic flight to Heathrow. But if I can’t find my passport, anyone know where I can get some hedgehog seeds?
“Hedgehog seed will burrow right in and plant itself.”
For greater yield plant in pairs….
Oh, good some sanity in the middle of all this world craziness. Some good old fashioned prickly fun! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. But, I still want a giraffe or a bunny, a bunny will do.
I didn’t see anything like this in my Burpee Seed Co. catalog . . . . Where can I place my order for at least 5 seed pods (it’s always best to plant in odd numbers, you know . . . . . .)?
ELFMAZING ears!!!!!!! lol
In the video of the baby hedgehogs, they look like momraths from “Alice in
Wonderland”…or may have been “Through the Looking Glass”. Want!!!
*O0<
This very cute little hedgie baby looks like an European hedgehog, currently illegal in the US, and endangered in Europe. African hedgehogs are allowed in most states as exotic pets. Having been the mom of 8 African hedgehogs, I can testify to the awesome power of hedgehogs. I adore hedgehogs, and even through I’m not currently keeping a hedgehog pet, I really want one new. Maybe next year, but this lit’l hedgehog is perfect as he/she is. You got to admit, hedgehogs can be some of the cutest animals around.
I’m chiming in here late to agree with many of you and to muse aloud – “how could I live to the ripe old age of 7 dog years and consider myself an expert on the subject of teh qte and NOT KNOW ABOUT FLOPPY HEDGEHOG EARS?!” Better go back to school, I guess.
There’s no way that hedgehog would ever learn to walk, I would have a tiny stroller, a super fluffy hedgehog bed, special treats, maybe a few friends and more hedgehog kisses than the sweet little critter could handle. I would carry it around in a little pouch so it was never lonely !!!!!!!
Paunchie, I won’t throw ‘maters at you, but I will reply this way: It’s not that his feets are grody, it’s that the rest of him is *so* cute his feet seem somewhat, well, less so. Especially those floppy, velveteen earses!
The eaaaaarrrs!!!?!?!?! *squee*
Three words…. R U SERIOUS?? That is the tiniest lil morsel I have evar seen! I can’t even function now due to squeeage. Thanks CO.
I bet hedgehog belly is soft and warm like fresh empanadas de calabaza.
Best of all, they’re self-fertilizing.
Oh dear god, I must put it in my mouf…..uh, mebbe not.
They will also eat your slugs.
SQUEEEEEEEE!!! The teeeny feets! The moist nosicle! The YODA EARS!!!
*splode*
OMG! This is the first time I’ve seen a hedgehog with ears like that! Sooooo adorable
the proportions on that hedge are so off it’s not even funny! ok, so it IS funny. and damn cute. squeeeeee!
A thousand thank you’s for the breed info Earwig!! I now have a new cute obsession
Didnt know they had such big ears, all normal when they are so tiny?
*Whimper* teh ears! teh feets! Teh cute! Spellings…gonne…grammars…gonne.
Ded. Cute, J’accuse.
*Whimper* teh ears! Teh feets! Teh nose! Teh cute! Spellings…gonne…grammars…gonne.
Ded. Cute, J’accuse.
Gah. So sploded by cute I double-posted. Sorry.
I love you, Camille.
OMG, it’s Antti (requires registration) from the cursing hedgehog comics!
I also love the floppy ears. But don’t forget the utterly beepable nose.
Oh my, those ears are beyond cute!!
Camille wins for the excellent Peter, Paul & Mary song!!!
@Katrina and Kristabelle – thank you!
The little guy looks a little deflate in that 1st pic . . .
Then he backs to plump in the 2nd!
Mm-mm-mm-mm-mm . . . toasty!
I MUST PUT IT IN MY MOUTH
Way better than money growing on trees!
He is so cute! I want one!
help me…. the ears…. they’re pulling me in to a black hole of cuteness…
*dies* of…. cute….
This is the Egyptian or Arabian Long-Eared Hedge.
I also found ANOTHER cute variety from Russia!!!
HILARIOUS!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0WB6qOt9BGM
Sorry lemme try that again.
The ears are so cute! The Hedgehogs from the youtube video posted by Existantia is super cute too!
The ears look like the ones of baby bats! Which are super cute too! XD
OMG! That´s sooo cute! I never noticed hedgehogs had those adorable, elvish pointy ears! *dies*
Ok, Existantia, I laughed very hard when the hedgie crawled back inside the litter box, but you lost me at the bug-eating, be warned peeps, very cute hedgie, very eeeewwoohw bug scence. BUT the hedgie is really cute. Thank you for the link. I’m going to brush my teeth… now, where did I put my rat?
Definitely not a British hedgie. When I was a kid my dad found a hedgehog in the road (in South London) and brought it back into our garden. Turns out she was expecting and we soon found ourselves hosts to a hedgie family for the next year.
The babies did not look at all like this. I suspect from the big ears that this one originates from a hot climate. It looks like a hedgie crossed with a fennec fox.
i lv the ears
OH MY!!! those adorable little floppy ears, please please please tell me where to get one.
@Diana … You’re such a tattle tail!
AWWWW! I LOVE THE TINY FEET!
