  1. Mary (the first) says:

I would like a chomp and a nibble of those two guys!

  2. SaintStryfe says:

no no, there’s nothin wrong in here. My turn next!

  3. 260Oakley says:

    Muzzleouch!

  4. That is quite the chomp!

My parents picked up two eight-week-old goldendoodle puppies last night and I get to go visit them this weekend. I can’t wait!

  5. FAAAAAACE NOMMMMMMMS

  6. love hurts..

  7. brinnann says:

Why can we haz a new Violence category but no NOM category? :(

  8. brinnann says:

    Forgot to add…

    DEDIFYING CUTE!

  9. Not That Mike The Other Mike says:

    Pic 1: Friendly
    Pic 2: Very friendly
    Pic 3: Too friendly

  10. christine says:

look at the Velvety Ear Flappage!

  11. Martha in Washington says:

I bet they both still have “puppy breath”. Someone should bottle that smell so we can scent our homes with it. That smell falls somewhere between lavender and fresh baked bread on the goodness scale.

  12. Teh puppeh has a hugreh! /gnaw

  13. Breakfast says:

Oh god. The look of scrutinizing appraisal in the first picture, and the insane eatage in the last, go very well together.

  14. berthaservant says:

Major LOL on that last pic…I was expecting a neeble, but that is a definite KRONSCH. I’ve heard of cat huffing….but PUPPEH HUFFING?

Brinnann, thank you for taking up my cause of the Nommage tag. I respectfully urge the blogkeepers to consider such a tag, since so many wonderful pictures involve nomming, yahnnging, chomping, or kronsching in some fastion. “I Shall Leeck You” rightfully has it’s own category, but I stand by my opinion that nomming is not the same as leecking. That’s the gist of my argument for the new “nom” or “nommage” tag, or some tag that indicates the presence of nommage in the post. If there is a formal petition of some sort to fill out, I will do so. Thank you.

Back to that unbelievable third pic.

  15. berthaservant says:

Eeek. Should say “fashion” (or perhaps “fa-shun”), not “fastion.”

Try to be the last bashion of clarity and look what it gets you.

  16. Thank you for making me laugh out loud today!!!

  17. RottLove says:

Obviously, an early indicator that these (Rottweiler) pups will, in due time, “turn on their owners.”
    NOT!
(Save your energy and avoid the ’nuffage; I am a Rottweiler owner and lover, these past 17 years…)

  18. Arr Arr says:

Please note the teenie little tongue in picture 2.
    He’s all: PPPTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTMPTH.

  19. Elisha B. says:

Oh my lord!!! What next? Birds preenin’ kitties? Doggies huffin’ babies? When will the madness stop!!

(Would love to play with the pups and smell snuggle the bellies, now that would smell good!)

  20. Cambridge Rat Mom says:

Dogs do this to assert dominance or at least try, or maybe the one’s just hungry and the other pup looked tastier than kibble. You can’t always know at that age.

  21. alwayscataddict says:

I think the left one was just showing the one on the right what could happen when you stick your tongue out at someone.

  22. susanna says:

i totally understand how that pup doing the nomming feels! what a delicious lil muzzle. in fact, i woulda done it myself if she hadn’t gotten to it first.

  23. dawgpup93 says:

^-^ save some for me please!

  24. Kallisto says:

These are cute. They are Rottweilers? I wouldn’t have known. They are *really* cute. And so chubby.
Oh yes, “nom” tag would be great. I third that motion.

  25. Noelle (the First) says:

Puppy on right: “You’re awfully quiet today. What’s the matter, cat got your tongue? Really? Yep, I see him. Hold still, I’ll get it, but you’re gonna have one heck of a hairball after this.”

Berthaservant: I’ll join your movement for a “nommage” tag. I agree that nomming is different than leeking and thus needs it’s own category. Shall we start a petition?

  26. WendyPinNJ says:

    I CAN HAZ NOSICLES?

What yummy, delicious, plump little Rottie babies!

    WANT!

  27. I LOVE the folds above their noses.

  28. WendyPinNJ says:

BTW, @berthaservent, are you from Joisey? We have a berthaservant who posts on a local message board in the northern part of the state!

  29. Trabb's Boy says:

Holy moly! I bet in the next pic that puppy unhinged its jaw like an anaconda and suck its sibling right down!

I’d still take him home for cuddles, tho.

  30. BServ is a left-coaster, Wendy. So sorries. ;)

  31. Noelle (the First) says:

Wendy…I’m a Jersey Girl, too. Southern part of the state!

  32. Katiedid says:

There should be a “I shall Nom you” catagory lol

  33. WendyPinNJ says:

@Noelle, we enjoy 2 weeks in the southern part of the state every August. Cape May is one of our favorite places–and it don’t get any more “southern” than that in Joisey!

@Theo, thanks. Who woulda thunk there’d be 2 separate berthaservants. Unless it means something I know nothing about!

  34. berthaservant says:

Wait…there is another berthaservant? Oh noes. My ‘dentity!

But yah, I’m California, soon to be Arizona.

  35. Jimbeaux says:

In order to keep it straight, can we call you B-serve? It’ll be a cool name that all the ‘hip’ kids will be using!

As for the pic… Awwww! I want to snuggle them both! And maybe nom, just a little.

  36. By de paws vested in me, I now pounce you…

  37. Aw garsh, how stinkin’ cute! I am distressed to report that Rotties are one of a number of breeds that has been banned from New York City public housing. Breed-specific legislation makes me sad. :(

  38. capt' tightpants says:

Ok – I knew it was coming, what with all the ‘chomp’ warnings and all – but I STILL giggled out loud at the third image. Am still chuckling about it even now as I type.

    yay for puppies!

  39. WendyPinNJ says:

@Theresa, I’m with you there girl. So silly and so ignorant.

  40. skippymom says:

Trabb’s Boy, I was going to say exactly the same thing! In picture four, he would have the other guy’s whole head in his mouth, and then picture five: wait, weren’t there two puppies here a minute ago?! (BUUUURRRRPPP)

  41. skippymom says:

    And yes to nomming category.

  42. I have a furry “niece & nephew”, of the rottweiler type. Rocky & Bonnie!
    Laziest big ol’ kooky-palookas evar.

  43. brinnann says:

    Nomming?

    OmNomNom?

    Or just plain Nom?

TEEEE-HOOOO, WHEN WE GONNA GIT DEES NEW CATEGORY?!

::kaffkaff:: Sorries, didn’t mean to yell so loud.

  44. From a nuzzle of the noses to a chomp of the muzzlepowshe

  45. Soooo beautiful! I love Rottweilers. ^_^ I want to have some space to have my own.

  46. zeldapie says:

I snorted at the last pic.I like how it all escalates into MAJOR CHOMPAGE.

  47. Laureling says:

Adding my vote for the “Nom” category.

Oh my, the stubbular legs, the velvety ears, it is too much! I cannot handle the cute!

  48. zOmg that is like sooo cute. LOL i luv the pics

  49. chanpon says:

    You’s tasty. Om nom nom…

  50. Mud Bug says:

@ B.Servant ME TOO! I’m moving to Az. (Cottonwood)

  51. Noelegy says:

Aww, tiny Rotties. Sweetness in abundance.

  52. binky-mama says:

    Get in mah mouf!

  53. The third pic cracked me up! So unexpected as I scrolled down!! Ha ha.

Here’s the screen play that goes with this little storyboard:

    First pic:
Dr. Puppy on the right: “What brings you in today?”
Patient Puppy on the left: “Well, my bark is a little squeaky, I think it might be a good idea to have a check up.”

    Second Pic.
Dr. Puppy: “Well, well, let’s see. Hmm. Please stick out your tongue like this and say ‘Ahhh’ …”

    Third Pic.
Dr. Puppy: (voice muffled and sounding like a faraway echo): “I don’t see anything, I think I need to get in a little closer, please open wider and excuse me while I lean in a little bit to check your tonsils..”

And, yes, BServ, I to NOMinate “nomming” to be a category…

  54. Reminds me of a semi-famous photo of two huskies doing the same (face-nomming).

    Wrinkle-tastic pups. My favorite :-)

  55. Argyle Donkeypants says:

[pup on the right] Hey! If I put it right up to my ear I *can* hear the ocean!

  56. So gorgeous!!!!
Bundles of pure fun and then soon naughtiness!!!LOL!!

  57. The teensy tongue in photo 2 just slays me. Yay for Rottweilers–some of the cutest pups around!

  58. Dobermama says:

Heh, puppies seem like mouths in search of something to bite.

Attached to a chubby roly poly ball of cuteness.

  59. I agree with BServ on the nommageness.

Argyle Donkeypants, that ‘hear the ocean comment’ made me giggle.

This is so cute, I saw the nom coming but it still surprised me into a little shocked squeal. Too cute. Puppies are so grand.

  60. in picture number two, do you see two dogs? or a vase

  61. old skool but now mostly absent ariel says:

this is the best in a very long time

  62. Subhangi says:

    Awww, rottweiler morsels!

  63. I believe the term for this is GALGH!

  64. berthaservant says:

There is a new tag (I believe it is new) called “I’m going to eat you.” Not as “cute” as “nomming” (imho) but still does the trick, so thanks!

  65. hon glad says:

He swallowed the dog to catch the cat
He swallowed the cat to catch the bird
He swallowed the bird to catch the spider
That wriggled and tickled inside er.

  66. Ummmm….isn’t putting your mouth over another’s muzzle a sign of dominance in canine behavior?

  67. OMG my heart melted, these pics are so cute, puppies are always playing and i love them i wanna have a rottie

  68. Katrina says:

    Niiiiiiiiice, Hon Glad!

  69. thatsphuckedup says:

    Thats a belly full….lol

  70. Space Cowgirl says:

Must send this to SO, as any pup pic a cat lover such as myself finds cute is guaranteed to slay him.

What exactly, if I may ask, does puppy breaf smell like?

  71. This is the best thing.

  72. Sharon Wilson says:

This reminds me of a certain Hitchcock scene (can’t remember which movie) where a German shepherd licks a man’s hand, then bites it viciously. The puppies are much cuter, though!

  73. Hannah Banana says:

OMG!!! Aww, when I saw this my heart melted! Awww! I can’t stop saying AWWW! Beayoutiful pics and pups :)

  74. OMG! I’m gonna die of laughter…

    1.) testing
    2.) tasting
    3.) CHOMPING!!!!

    I GIVE FIVE STARS!!!!!

  75. I’m taking them home…….please…………

  76. Just me says:

    nom nom nom………………

  77. @ Not That Mike The Other Mike [post 9]

    Love your description!

Pic 3 is really over friendly. Super cute. Hope there isn’t any bad puppy breath. XD

    These are Rottweiler pups right?

  78. Oh boy, I would have to gobble up those 2 precious angels.

  79. I’ve heard that canines do this because it’s a dominance thing, like “I can make it so you can’t breathe, so I am the alpha male.”

  80. Considering how young those two are, I figured it was just a baby wanting to put something in its mouth. In this case, the closest thing to its mouth was its sibling’s face!

  81. Productfreak says:

    tiny earsss

  82. Black Ice says:

XD This made me laugh so hard! So cute, yet so silly.

  83. What breed of doggies are these cuties?

  84. Charlie says:

Rottweilers I think, they grow to be quite large
