Cute Overload :D
Get BACK in the pouch! We’re going to the park. Sit down and strap in. [Stuff stuff stuff]
OMG teh ears!!!!
squish . . . squish . . .squish
That can’t be real. OMG.. WANT!!
O.K. who else “saw” the title as ‘Tree Kangaroos” the first time they read it ???
Totally made me laugh. They look like stuffed animals. So cute!
The tail! The tail flopped over the ears!!! OH MY GAWD!!!
The golden ears! The pink nosies!
(runs 2 office window to check parking lot trees for
Kree Tangaroos) Dangit!
Pocket pets extraordinaire, no? As in pets with pockets AND pets in pets with pockets.
Awwwww MOM do I hafta? Geee whizz… (said in Beaver Cleaver voice)
i love mommy/baby combinations.
I”m sure glad I don’t have to stuff a half-grown child into some kind of “pouch”. OW.
OMG if you go to that article, the 12th photo down is of a teeny tiny baby tree kangaroo that will steal your SOUL!!!
These things look like crosses between kangaroos and koalas and teddy bears!
Okay, this is the best post ever.
In the last pic, the little guy in the pouch: “Ready in all respects to get underway, Ma’am!” (salutes smartly, unaware that tail is not secured)
lol the tail doesnt quite fit does it.. :-D
I need, like, Günd or someone to make me one of those. I have neither the climate nor the expertise to care for a real one, but a high quality plush would be divine!
Once again, Meg is trying to KEEEL us, while I’m trying to get some work done. *sigh*
There have been some recent posts about which I’ve thunk to myself, higher peaks of cuteness (and funnehness) do not exist on Earth. Meg’s mission, it would seem, is to fearlessly discover and scale new and unsuspected Himalayas of Qte.
Kree Tangaroos indeed. I will no longer be able to spell straight all evening.
And furthermore, GAAAALLLLGGGHHHHH *ker-thunk*
Are you sure that those are real? They look suspiciously like they were designed by Gund.
That kid is way too big for the pouch. He must have a college degree or something.
Mini-dude needs to buy another ticket for the tailio.
Thunk. You have finally done me in.
GREAT HORNY TOADS!!!!
“[Stuff stuff stuff]” made me laugh out loud…
Teddy-bear look-alike; and the bebbeh looks like he’s trying to stuff his tail into the powch-pokkit, wif no success; And Wowsers!!! lookit the nails on Mommeh! (good thing the bebbeh doesn’t have nails like that!)……Well, Gund, or Steiff, or somebody is missing a kyuoote marketing opportunity: this Kree Tangaroo pair could serve as the prototype in a minnit……
Kree Tangaroos? Sounds like something Teal’c would say.
As usual, obscure references are us.
Bebeh can’t get in there because his lunchabuls are in the way…
Poor bebeh’s stuffed into the glove compartment with an owner’s manual, tire gauge, insurance papers, fuel receipts, 11 capless pens, some kleenex, 2 straws, an ice scraper, and several toothpicks. No wonder there’s not enough room in there.
Synchronicity? A week ago I had never heard of tree kangaroos and here they are again. How how how? How can I not have ever heard of the second cutest animals on earth? (Fennec foxes still pwn me.) Mom is thinking, “I am not upgrading to a larger size pouch.”
Too precious! Of course I had to go searching for a tree kangaroo stuffed animal. And what did I find? Lots of “down under” stuffed animals- squeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I agree with 260Oakley. This totally needs a “pocket pets” tag!
Outgrowing the pouch? Hehe.
Please to upgrade on the pouch. More room needed.
How can these not be related to Red Pandas? One of each would surely be lethal.
Mudbug – I totally did. So much so that your post made no sense to me for a solid 30 seconds until I went back up and read the title again.
Wombat faces, kangaroo bodies, red panda furriness… this is like the Australian composite cute animal!!!!!!!
Wait a minuto. Hold the phone. Are you saying there are KANGAROOS THAT LIVE IN TREES? What’s next? Sloths in the ocean? Whales in the rivers? Flying Squirrels?
I have been waiting and waiting for you to do a post on tree kangaroos. The Bronx Zoo has some. They are the epitome of Overload of Cute.
They are even cuter in person! I take care of 3 of them. So glad to see you all like them and they are gaining fans!
Mudbug – I had to go back and read the title again, too.
Is it tree kangaroo or kree tangaroo? Cuz Google doesn’t recognize the latter, and as we all know, Google and Meg are tied for the posische of Lord of Teh Interverse.
they are so cute i totally want one
So cute.Check out the adorable pink paw pad sticking out of the pouch. Looks like a teddy bears foot!
Mama kangaroos get to birth their babies when they’re super teeny, which, if you must birth something, obviously makes it easier. But then, when they grow big, they carry them around in their pouch forever! I’ve seen videos of the bebehs leaping vigorously into Mama’s pouch, and that can’t feel good.
Mac–you…take care…of 3 of THESE guys???? Jealous.
It’s not 100% obscure. It’s the first thing I thought of when I read the title; I lol’d when I saw your comment.
I can’t believe I have never seen this animal before!
Mudbug–I read it as Tree Kangaroos, too. And I had never seen these anerable
animals before…Ask me, it’s the cell phone that makes junior reluctant to ride in the pouch…ringtones on your butt…OMG! And when she puts it on vibrate…
I love the plum-and-caramel colouring!
(Yes, I’m hungry.)
Mommas nails could do some serious damage. I wonder if they’re for getting bugs from under the tree bark.
The babe looks like it’s trying to shove it’s tail away with it’s foot. :D
There is (or was) a very lonely old ‘Goodfellow’s Tree Kangaroo’ at the Hong Kong zoo. Very bizarre looking creature. I always wondered how he ended up there!
LOOK – VIDEO OF THE TREE KANGAROO JOEY!
Lof eet! Is this the first time CO has posted tree kangaroos?
[I think so… – Ed.]
I was going to dig for saved links/pic of tree kangaroos, but I think the demonicious webpage covers most of what I would have found. O.o
Ah… *nod nod*
Greatings, cuteoverload.com – da best. Keep it going!
Have a nice day
It’s redonk how cute that mother & bairn are.
