M on the forehead means Maine Coon. This little one will grow HUGE. I used to have one of these gentle giants. When he was a kitten, we didn’t know what to look for in the breed and I named him LB for Little Bit, since he was sooooo tiny. 25 lbs later, LB stood for Lard Butt. I miss him so.
What happened to the funny rollover tags? I love those and don’t see then on this or the next post. Is this a new site issue or just a temporary lapse?

I think this kitten actually has no tail, and there is a baby raccoon hiding behind him with only the tail visible. It is the only logical explanation for that redonkulous ring-ed tailio.

Hi. This tiny one shoud be a Maine Coon. According to a cat breed special I watched just this weekend on Animal Planet, all Maine Coons have at least one M and sometimes 2 over their brow area. My big boy had 2 M’s, they looked like odd eyebrows.
I don’t think the “M” on the forehead has any significance to the Maine Coon breed. I know a Maine Coon, and she does not have the M. I also owned a half-siamese and also a domestic shorthair who both had M markings. Some friends own two Bengals who sport Ms. No Maine Coon blood. Perhaps it’s just a desirable marking for the breed, like the Cavalier King Charles thumbprint on spaniel heads?
My guess is this kitteh might be some sort of Persian (like my Isabella at right) or Himalayan. These breeds are sort of related, I think. Anyway, this kitteh’s nose is not as squeeshed as Bella’s, but Bella’s head also looks too beeg for her body. Just a hunch.
