Winston-san is rather like a cross between Buddha and Wilfred Brimley. Personally, I prefer the original Winston, he just tickles my funny bone more…along with Rich and Rudy. However, this guy is pretty amusing on his own, and seems pretty content. I had to laugh when the camera moves to the side and you can see how he is carefully propped up on three pillows so he can look like he’s sitting at the table. We animal lovers do strange things with/for our beasts, sometimes. This kitteh, for one, doesn’t seem to mind.

Uuuuh, what? Cloned animals are everywhere on the market. They have a freaking cloned mule race. I have no problem drinking milk from a cloned animal because it is THE SAME ANIMAL. It was grown in the womb, it produces milk exactly the same way as the cow it was cloned from. And frankly, if you have a problem with it, why take the ad down? That just ignores the perceived problem. Maybe I’m not a very good judge though, because I also have no problem eating meat that was grown in a lab. It’s just freaking protein, people. Where it comes from should not be of importance, as long as the cows are treated humanely and the gene pool is kept relatively diverse. /rant.
Oh, I should probably clarify, cloned animals are mainly on the market for studding, not for eating. But if you have a problem eating meat directly from the cloned source, why should the off-spring be any different?
Sorry, am I the only one who looked at that website and thought it looks like a total spoof? Or some kind of viral ad, like for the Terminator? There’s hardly any information given and some of it doesn’t really make sense. Maybe peeps are getting upset for nothing.

I really hope we can call this cat by his own name. He is not a knock-off of another cat. He’s a cat with a personality and identity of his own. I’m not saying we can’t make comparisons, but let’s turn this into a Winston vs. Shirobu battle or something, instead of just calling this guy Winston-san or the Japanese Winston. Slight ’nuffage, but I think respect is due.

2) patiently avoid knocking down all that cleanly placed food/items
3) lick and clean himself thoroughly
