I am convinced that cats have an innate ability to find settings that make them look good. I love how the red brings out his coat and pink little nose.
Be careful with that nibbling, if s/he is al dente.
Happy Birthday foxy!
Such a sweet picture, I bet the person who found the cat-in-the colander just let it sit there for as long as it wanted! I know I would have gone and found found a piece of cheesecloth, or other straining device, so as not to disturb zee kitteh. Honk-shu!
Now Gently poor the kitty into a fine strainer and allow to rest and drain for at least fifteen minutes
meanwhile
mix together your herbs and sauce in your serving bowl
pour strained kitty into the bowl with sauce and toss gently
when serving be sure to garnish with fresh catnip.
IT will be a feast for the eyes as well as the palate.
I know it seems odd, but at the animal shelter where I adopted my kitten, they had colanders in each cage, filled with towels / blankets–cheap and easy cat bed. So maybe all cats are secretly strained!
I wonder if adorable kittehs were part of Julia Child’s spy missions.
I wonder if Julia Child used adorable kittehs as part of her spying.
Oh it’s such a strain to look this good.
Judging by the sweetness of the ingredients, I’d say we are definitely making a Dessert Kitty here…
is zee kitty’s name Al?
Al Dente?
might i have a neeble?
What strain of kitteh is this? >”<
Curious. Kitty’s are clearly part liquid, but they don’t leak!
(beeps kittn nose repeatedly)(is there a nose beep-hab?)
Mmmm warm and toasty fresh from teh oven.

Pasta Pusstanesca?
Chicken Catciatore?
When did Julia Child (RIP) get that foreign accent?
I fits in it, so I sits in it.
I don’t think that kitteh is ripe yet, the marmies aren’t really good until dark orange.
But I’ll take it anyway, because it’s my birthday and I’ll steal if I want to.
It’s a hammock!
A picture for next year’s CO colander … um, calendar.
I see boxhab in that kitteh’s future. Sad at so young an age!
Nooooooh ! no kitteh in zeh oven, kitteh in mah lap.
*say in high, quavery voice* If you do not have a strainer, simply place the kitty in a square of cheesecloth and squeeze gently….
Be careful with that nibbling, if s/he is al dente.

Matchingks–silvery-peach kitteh and silver strainer?
Also matchingks–colander “legs” and flowers in background! Fantastic composhishe, overall!
LOL! My thoughts exactly, Anne Pole.
om nom nom. *nibbles kitteh eerz* delish! After straining, place kitten in a warm sunny place for 50-60 minutes, or until doubled in size.
You peeps. Heh. You’s awesome.
I think I’ll be heading upstairs to the kittchen myself.
I would like to order one in aqua, to match my mixmaster AND my flowers, but I am wondering if I can put that in the dishwasher?
Also matchinks — color of cat & color of sunlight on wall in b/g?
Meatloaf?
Again?

Ummm…delicious mellow caramel kitteh sauce, with a side order of pussghetti!
Do they have a kitchen on the porch? Or is the strainer there on purpose as a kitteh hammock??
“what about a last minute dinner party for 300?”
(cookity cookity) VOILA!
dammit! firefinch beat me to the PUN-ch
He’s straining to have a nap
Another great Santa Barbaran, still missed at the local farmer’s markets.
(Julia, not kitteh…we still get fresh kitteh brought in every week from Santa Ynez).
I read that as “Santa Barbarian”. Ah’ll be bahk, ho ho ho.
