Welcome to the Amazing World of the Future!

Journey with us now into The Future, where Today becomes Tomorrow, Tomorrow becomes Today, and Yesterday is still Yesterday, only later.  Hop into your sleek personal HoverFrog…

Actually, I'm just a frog stuck to a window.

…and away you go!  Whooshing in silent comfort past gleaming skyscrapers!

I really don't know where he gets these weird ideas.

And when you arrive at your destination, simply park your pollution-free HoverFrog in the sun to recharge!

Yeah, whatever you say, Jules Verne. Later!

It’s a great big beautiful tomorrow from your window, Erin G.

Whee! hoverfrog, wave of the future! Bet his sticky pads sound amazing as they disengage…longtime lurker finally checkin in–love this place, makes my day, everyday!

  2. SO nice! i didn’t realised it was a frog at first! so tiny!! ♥

  3. btw, i LOVE the last photo! XD

  4. Von Zeppelin says:

Oh no! It’s Baron Silas Greenback in his Frog’s Head Flyer, with some evil scheme to conquer our civilization. Who will save us from this hovering frog?

  5. superboymom says:

    I toad – ally want a hover-frog!

  6. Somebody turn on the window defrogger 😉

  7. What is dumpy tree frog doing outside?? The bebe is cooooold!

  8. @Von Zeppelin: He might–http://www.korner.de/bilder/dm/DangerMouse.gif

In other news, I totally thought Frog Guru on the first pic, instead. He looks so at peace.

  9. How anerable! I’ll take ten

  10. fish eye no miko says:

@superboymom, John E: Stop with the puns before someone croaks!

  11. You know, scientists actually have levitated frogs using magnetism. See here: http://www.hfml.ru.nl/froglev.html

  12. Frogi Dharma has reached the ultimate in enlightenment!

  13. wannadance says:

‘yesterday is still yesterday, only later…’

    yew jes’ keeel me, NOMTOM…

  14. I wonder if we could somehow solve our dependency on foreign oil by using hoverfrogs. Hmmmm.

  15. Man, I just love technology. 😀

  16. whatever happened to caturdays?

  17. Von Zeppelin says:

@melikeycuuute–Unfortunately, that would just lead to dependency on foreign hoverfrogs. There are only a few domestic sources.

  18. Wow, that first photo is disappointment at its finest.

  19. Hoverfrog goes whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…

  20. Oh, snorkity, snork-sork snork!

I want my fleet of hoverfrogs to take me so many places.

Now, are they local or can they go the distance?

Do the hover craft come in fluffy little white, I seem to recall a couple of Havenese puffy-dog models too? Just darling. With not too much height for our height-hating peeps!

  21. Great pictures, even greater story (by Nomtom obvy). Cheers!

  22. Somebody get him a show in Vegas.

  23. “… shining at the end of every day!”
That song will be stuck in my head the rest of the day – Thanks! 😉

  24. The original “green” machine.

  25. biscuithead says:

    I don’t know which I want more:
to have a Hover Frog or…
    to BE a Fover Frog.

    The 3rd pic!
Hover Frog either has NO ‘tocks or has MICRO ‘tocks.

  26. Oh, these are great. One year there was a little bitty frog that had suckered itself to my french doors. My cat went NUTS trying to bat it off. I could hear the little froggy saying, “Neener neener you can’t touch me!”

  27. mervtheflamingo says:

I LOVE tree frogs. They are so…clingy. One was once attached to our porch window, and I relocated him so that our dog couldn’t gulp him. He stuck to my hand like a tinnnnny suction cup! So cute!

  28. compy-saur says:

The first pic has to be one of the cutest photos I have ever seen. 🙂 What a cute little fella.

  29. what an awesome shout out to Tomorrow Land! Theres a great big beautiful tomorrow… hiding at the end of every day… sigh… childhood.

  30. DisasterParty says:

I want to be a hover frog. Come on, flying and being able to breathe under water? Sign me up!

  31. Theeeere’s a great big beautiful tomorrow, just a dream away!

    I shall name him squishy.

  32. Thomas Kinkade Brannigan and his wife are totally having kittens in that little dewd.

  33. Boomer's Babysitter says:

I so want to see one of those for reals!!! I wonder if my stepmom in Hawaii (lucky!) could send me one…

  34. kibblenibble says:

Dang, NOMTOM, why do you have to be SO creative? You make ordinary guys seem even more boring. *sigh* (Excepting all the funny guys that post on here, of course.)

  35. fish eye no miko says:

Patito Gingante: I wonder if they’ll name one “Doctor”?

  36. That’s a very zen frog. I’ve seen these covering people’s sliding glass doors after heavy rains here in Florida. I love to hear them.

  37. I very much liked “The Carousel of Progress” reference! I know other people already mentioned this, but I still liked it ^_^

  38. Miko’s fish eye: Doctor what?

  39. LOL, NOMTOM!

This is definitely a Top Ten best. 🙂

  40. PG — Zhivago.

  41. Jojo, you’re not the only one. And to think, it was finally gone from my last trip to Disney, and here it is, back… in all it’s splendor! Add It’s a Small World and we officially have a nightmare. Ooops. Well, piffle…

  42. Zhivago! Brrr, too cold!

Has anyone else ever seen those teeny frogs who are protected by looking like (excuse the expresh) bird crap? Not likely to turn up here, I guess.

  43. Hello, I’m one of the frogs (really teeny-tiny frogs) that look like bird crap and I just want to say:

  44. Me and my big mouth, er keyboard. 😉

  45. Excellent. Can’t wait for the world’s first public Hoverfrog service.

  46. Pollution free? Solar energy? Forget the Prius. Gimme a Hover Frog! Adorable AND eco-friendly.

  47. Did anyone else wonder what the hover-frog is actually attached to? Is it a car window? Or some sort of glass table top?? I found myself very confused trying to figure out what the background(s) in the photos were.

  48. scooterpants says:

i am a lil… scared of teh froggie.

  49. Well this is just plain bizarre. I took these pics of this perfect little froggie from my 3rd floor apartment in Orlando- the bizarre part? JUST YESTERDAY I was in the Magic Kingdom in Disney World and the VERY LAST thing I did before leaving was ride the Carousel of Progress. I was singing “it’s a great big beautiful tomorrow” all the way home and woke up this morning to find my pics posted with that song 🙂

  50. Pics #1 & #2 are teh AWSUM.

  51. I’m not much for all of this new-fangled technology. The old, reliable monorail cat system still works for me.

  52. Yay for Disney World! Maybe HoverFrog can be the next installment of Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride. (I miss that) Also love the song reference, except I’m still partial to the old song they had.

    Now is the time
    Now is the best time
Now is the best time of your life!

  53. Noelle — I don’t think that was Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride; that song was from something in Tomorrowland. Or wait, was it that ride inside the big aluminum buckyball at Epcot? Man, it’s been a while.

  54. Is this information what passes for ‘cultural competence’ these days?
Theo- I guess you just have to make the time to go back and revisit, if not for you, then for me, as I will never set foot in it and still want to know…

    Wonderful frog.

  55. milkfilledandroid says:

    Hypnotoad strikes again!! 🙂

  56. Loffin’ the caption and hoverfrogtext contrast.
