  5. Hon Glad says:

    Oh my paws and whiskers.

  6. SoCalSis says:

Sardines– the BEST game in the world!

  7. Babs says:

He disapproves so much he can’t even look at you.

  8. morgat says:

Is it cheating if I “hide” out in the open so this little guy can definitely find me???

  9. Nik says:

Oooh, I want that cute bunny to find ME!

  10. 260Oakley says:

Is it me, or have the bun posts been multiplying like, well, you know… rabbits on CO lately?

  11. Silly Mama says:

    It’s a double facepalm!

And this place seems to be bun central these days. Not that I’m complaining, mind you. :0)

  12. kar says:

Sardines always seemed so anti-climatic to me.

More of a “Ghost in the Graveyard” person.

    And that bun is cuddlesome.

  13. kasia says:

Good God, it took me AGES to work out what I was seeing here!! First thought the pawsies were white muzzlepowches… but that wasn’t right! *mypoorbrain*

  14. lukec says:

looks like he’s playing hide and go seek…

  15. If I hide my eyes, then no one can see me! [disapproving harrummmph; Wait my therapist told me to visualize clover leafs]

  16. momof2kitties says:

Am I the only one that wants to bury my face in that belleh and huff madly? Anyone? Bueller?

  17. firefinch says:

He just saw his 401(k) statement.

  18. Jennie Mello says:

I hope it’s sardines, because then I could snuggle with him while hiding.

  19. Berg says:

I have an overwhelming need to poke the bun tum.

  20. Maegen M says:

I love it! Cute Overload is becoming Bun Overload!! My rabbits are jealous.

  21. Annie says:

We used to play Hide and go seek all the time.. THe best time to play was after dinner as it was getting dark.

Now it would have been even more fun with a bun!

  22. Eastie says:

    @firefinch: Ha! Indeed.

Sardines is a game? I must look it up and find out what the heck it is.

Cute bunneh! I want to pet it and nibble its soft ears.

  23. Oh bun, oh bun! I luffs this pic! Playing hide and seek with a bun is so much fun! I’m gonna go hide and seek with my bun right now!!

  24. katiehov says:

yeah, bun overload for reelz. but it is all good, mine just passed away after 10 years, and it helps to see all the other bunnies.

  25. pookie says:

    Kar

Ghost in the Graveyard was my favorite childhood game!

Now if I could just get some buns to play….

  26. InAwwwe says:

*Actually he’s hiding his head in shame for laughing at some of those jokes in the last post…

  27. AuntieMame says:

Anyone for some Blind Man’s Buff? Or Blind Bun’s Fluff?

  28. Boomer's Babysitter says:

@kasia – me too. It took reading your comment and looking back at the picture to figure it out.

  29. Boomer's Babysitter says:

And what IS Sardines? I feel deprived!

  30. Juniper Jupiter says:

    Yay! Calico Bun!

I theenk Sardines is like the Hide ‘n’ Seek, but instead one person playing it, there’d be one person hiding, and the first person to find them would join them in their hidey hole, and the second person would find them and join them in their hidey hole, etc, etc…until they look like a tin of sardines (hence the name) and the last person to find everybody would have to be the new person to find a hidey hole.

It’s been a while, and I never played it, but that’s how I heard it played.

    Does that soond aboot right?

  31. katkat says:

the game ‘sardines’ is like hide and seek. It’s best played in the dark, and I’ve always played it paired off. 1/2 people find a hiding spot and the rest of the peeps or teams are sent off incrementally. When you find the hiders, you hide with them. The last person/team to find everyone else is the next team to hide. So fun!!!

  32. Erin K. says:

This pic is so cute that it melts my brain, until all I can think is,”Bunny-Bunny-Bunny-Bunny-Bunny-Bunny-Bunny-Buuuuuuunny!”

  33. anner says:

you make bunny cry! all of you!

  34. anner says:

did anyone else first see this as a bunny with a freakishly large muzzle-puff and no eyes?

  35. lrm says:

I also noticed what looks like the muzzlepouche of a guinea pig in the middle of the left side of the picture!

  36. Marie says:

If this were my buns I literally would sit there all day staring at his gorgeousness and nuzzling that patch of calico. Nom, nom, nom. I’d simply get nothing done!

  37. Bo Babbyo says:

I hate to be the one to say it, but I think this photo is a FAKE! I don’t know of any rabbits that can count well enough for a good game of hide-and-seek. Nobody could count to a hundred, much less backwards. I tried to get them to count to twenty five times over, but even that left them distressed.

  38. Boomer's Babysitter says:

Ah! Thank you, I am now enlightened. :-) Now I need to find some bunnies to play it with!!

  39. berthaservant says:

I’m also seeing a Charlie-Brown style “Aarrgh” thought balloon.

Also, I don’t think bunnies should be playing with oxen. Call me old-fashioned.

  40. Gail says:

I think Mister Bun just realized he missed cleaning the grass stains off his paws! Oh, noes!!!

  41. Subhangi says:

    He looks like a cookie!

  42. SoCalSis says:

Sardines is somewhere between Hide-and-Seek, and Kick-the-Can, and most fun when playing with a gaggle of giggling teens of various genders. The trick is finding a good hiding spot where everyone can fit but only with lots of squishing and squeezing and tickling and giggling.

Now someone tell me about Ghost in the Graveyard– sounds spooooky!

  43. Mandy says:

omg the high pitched noise I just emitted could sed dogs running… a calico bunneh too! So cute!

  44. Katrina says:

How high do bunnies count before they start looking?

[One, two, three, four, thrair! READYORNOTHEREICOME - Ed.]

  45. VegetarianViking says:

Oh noes! *hides with the ham posted earlier*

  46. Dan in Tempe says:

    It’s:

    ollie ollie all come free

  47. Frankie says:

    Way to go, CO…celebrating
that this Asian New Year is
    the year of the Oxen!

  48. VegetarianViking says:

I am a Pig… I mean, I was born in the year of Pig. Are there any oxen on this board? What does your horoscope tell you? And do the characteristics that people born in the year of the Oxen are supposed to have, apply to you?

  49. Evan Waters says:

I’m actually sort of curious as to why bunnies assume this pose. Is it just for muzzle-cleaning or what?

  50. violet says:

    I am so in lurve.

  51. peaches says:

Um, it’s “hrair”, not “thrair”! Jeez, if you’re going to make a Watership Down reference, get it right! *hops off in a huff* :P
