I got a kit-kat clock for Christmas once but it never moved. I kept it for years but think I got rid of it when I moved. Unless it’s in storage.

I love the Kit Kat Clock Co. I have one that my mother “decorated” for me 45+ years ago (because the jeweled version from the company cost $3 more or something like that), and I love love love the fact that they’re still ticking! Made in the USA! And even when they went from electric to battery, the folks made sure if you loved your old clock, you could buy “the guts” to retrofit it to the new battery pack.

We lived in a really old house when I was little. My bedroom was upstairs at the very end of the hall next to the bathroom which had one of those old-fashioned claw bathtubs.

The “house settling” and that bathtub were spooky enough…

But combined with a kitty-cat klock on the wall opposite to my door?!

And don’t even get me STARTED on Teddy Ruxpin…

By the way, I had a Kit Kat clock (it may not have been the same brand, come to think of it, because it was orange and I don’t remember the eyes being quite so…prominent). It didn’t freak me out. The pink quilted cat-shaped pillow that my dear great-aunt made for me, with BIG EYES that I could see ACROSS my bedroom because the street light shone in my window at night…that was another matter.

Tock-tacular! I finally got to see it at home.
