My cat attacks stuffed cats of all sizes. Especially the little miniature ones, she loves to tear into a good tiny cat effigy. I should try her with a picture and see what she does.

My cats play with stuffed animals – cat-shaped or not. Particularly fond of my Totoro and stuffed monkey, though they have their own teddy bear, beanie cow, and even Ugly Doll.
She clearly doesn’t not want shallow and superficial companionship…

My fiance’s parents had a pair of cats that freaked out if I wore one of those headbands with kitty ears on it. I discovered that one Halloween and nearly bust a gut laughing. Everything would be fine – the moment I put on the headband their eyes would bug out and they would book it to the other room.
Becca, yes! I have an antisocial territorial cat like this one. One day I brought home a large realistic stuffed animal of a leopard and left it on the sofa. Kitty beat the bejeebers out of it, and it was three times her size! I was proud of her bravery. Too bad I didn’t have a video camera, or she too could be a Youtube star.
OK, wow, it’s crazy, it’s bitter and has fatalistic violence. Must be a photo of her ex boyfriend.
A friend had a cat that would attack my daughter’s Pound Purry (that’s Purry, NOT Puppy). It really didn’t look that much like a cat.
Oh, and doves DO NOT like when humans wear wings! We had a friend come over for Halloween with angel wings on. Had to cover up the dove cage, it freaked out every time it saw the hooman with wings!
Isn’t this a tad stressful for the kitty? Wouldn’t kitty prefer its own non-threatening toy ?

Vic, I don’t really think so, aggression is in their predator nature. At least they always win against such stationary foes! It probably makes them feel like the Top Cat. There’s nothing my kitty loves as much as being angry, I swear she even hisses at her catnip mouse.
That’s one chunkeh kitteh. Beating the crap out of cat pix is good exercise. But what unusual, pretty markings. Like a tabby cow.

My cat will not brook competition either. I brought home a stuffed cat someone had given me and put it on the bed, she hissed and made me put it in the corner on the floor. She’s ok with it being on the floor as long as it’s not on HER bed.
What in the world is that cutout made out of? It looks like really thin, brittle styrofoam or something, because the kitteh just punched right through it karate-styles.

Speaking of animals not appreciating it when you are wearing something “unusual:” I had a grey-cheeked parakeet that would run after me screaming if he saw me with a bath towel on my head. Srsly, little 2″ tall bird wanted to kill the creature walking by with the “giant head!”

I have a cat that would siy t in the window and ‘call’ the birds- this weird little chuckling clicking noise- the nirds knew she couldn;t get them, and she knew it, too grrumble clickety, clattety, grrbirrds!
