    *bounce bounce bounce*

  2. M. says:

    Gopher.

  3. kim says:

wow. i am in heart with bailey :)

  4. DanS says:

It reminds me of Bugs Bunny tunneling under the earth in the old Warner Brothers cartoons. “This isn’t Pismo Beach! Hmm. I must of took a wrong turn at Albuquerque.”

  5. YourMother says:

Here comes Peter Frozentail, hoppin’ down the puppy trail.

  6. Hon Glad says:

    Bailey the unknown reindeer
bounced about the snow with glee
    and as he happily tunelled
head and ears was all you’d see.

  7. Courtney says:

    That is one snow-loving doggie!

  8. pixelsicle says:

    Could a dog be happier?

  9. opossum says:

It’s like that movie “Tremors” only much, much cuter. And bouncier.

  10. Shannon says:

That’s what I thought! Bugs Bunny!

  11. Annie says:

LOL Favorite Parts… the ears flopping up out of the snow.. and that one place in the middle where he bounds out of the snow shakes it all off and gives the camera operator the look… What are you waiting for there is snow to bounce through. COME ON!!!!!

  12. Marie says:

Me too! Looney Tunes came right to mind. What happened? Did they hide his favorite sqeaky toy or something? If so, no doubt he’ll find it. Even if it takes a week. Lol!

  13. oaklandcat says:

With a little training, you could get that dog to clear your driveway.

  14. Amy says:

Is that a Trail-O-Matic or a SnowShark?? either way – keep an eye on your milkbones!!!

  15. Gail (the first one) says:

    @HonGlad: Good one!!

    Such a happy doggie!!!

  16. Dozer says:

    Going under ur snowz, brb.

    *bounce* *bounce* *bounce*

I’m in ur snowz, making ur tunnelz! Wheeeeeee!

  17. Noodles says:

he’s like a unicorn chaser for those Dune sand worms!

  18. Lizzums says:

That’s how to get a doggie tired enough for the family to eat christmas dinner in peace.

Lucky doggie. In Alabama, we haven’t even SEEN snow in years.

  19. momof2kitties says:

Good Lord, we’re gonna get that much snow. Today. Everything is closed. I can haz puppers to keep my kids occupied?

  20. mberkie0 says:

Can anyone else hear the “Sesame Street” song, “Somebody Come and Play!” He wants someone to come out and play in the snow with him! And Boy, has he got energy to burn! Wish I could harness it to keep my house warm!

  21. Ruth says:

That’s some Tigger energy. Imagine what he’d be like if they kept him inside all day!

  22. Lils says:

That is soooooo much like our American Cocker Spaniel, only she has a lot more fur and we don’t get that same amount of snow. Every time I open the door for her, she runs straight out to the lawn and just waits for someone to come and play! I have no doubt that if we would get that much snow she would be just as exuberant, and drag enough snow inside to make a snowman!

    Such joy!

  23. MelissaF says:

That is a riot! Thanks for making my morning.

  24. Theresa says:

Note also Bailey’s FABULOUS black and white spottage! My only prob with Bailey is that he is so bouncy he probably wouldn’t want me to give him a big ol’ snorgle. :(

  25. Theresa says:

    PS Harry Connick- Karaoke Ready!

  26. Edward says:

That dog has a well-developed sense of fun. He or she is welcome around our place any time. Just so you know, pup, we have a paddock you can run around in. And lots of squirrels to chase. Just sayin’.

  27. ceejoe says:

that looks like so much fun! too bad i’m a wuss when it comes to being cold!

  28. Minya says:

Just let your heart lead and your feet will follow, and we’ll bound and leap like a gentle breeze. Bound and leap like a zephyr set free. Bound, and, of course, leap.

Thank you, Milo & Otis. It was the first thing I thought of when I saw this!

  29. One Skunk Todd says:

    It’s a furry snow torpedo. :)

  30. Molly Hetrick says:

The snow looks so light and powdery! I love how his head disappears completely in the snow. Awesome!

  31. lindr says:

This is what I felt like driving into work this morning – only less bouncy and waaaaaayy less excited. The tunnel effect was definitely there, though. It looks like we’ll have a White Christmas!

  32. Redzilla says:

That dog is insane! He’s all: “Don’t you wanna come snow-swimming?”

  33. Jezebel says:

That puppeh is fantastic! There’s nothing like watching pure abandonment and joy first thing in the morning! Thanks for that Meg! Merry Christmas!

  34. Karebear says:

OMG that’s so mean to make him do that! Bring him inside because it’s so obvious he HATES the snow! :)

  35. Lerrinus says:

Love the last jump at the end! Hilarious! Good one Hon Glad! :-D

  36. Janet in Cambridge says:

I wish I could love snow that much, but I guess that’s why I bought a snow thrower.

  37. Lerrinus says:

Just curious, is this a pointer or a dalmation? In any case, he’s adorable in his enthusiasm! :-)

  38. Maribeth says:

I think it’s a Poimatian. Or a Dalter? My Corgis do a very different version of the snow dance but they love it, too!

  39. AuntieMame says:

He’s like a giant snow mole! My favorite bit is when he waits for the camera to get a good close up before he goes wallowing off.

    (LOL, Karebear!)

  40. Wes says:

DanS: Hahahahaha.. exactly what I was thinking. Nice quote!

Definitely somewhere between tunneling Bugs Bunny and bouncing Pepé le Peu. :P

  41. Lins says:

    Such unabashed joy! Love eeet.

  42. Gabster says:

@Minya: OMG another Milo & Otis fan! People think I’m nuts for loving that movie!

I watched this with the sound off and couldn’t stop smiling! Pure, unadulterated JOY! Love eet!

  43. Noelle says:

This would totally be my dog if we had that much snow. She just loves snow, although she mostly eats it and rolls in it, but I could see her bounding about if it were this high.

*SIGH* unfortunately all we have here today is rain! UGH!

  44. Jenn in IL says:

Pure, sweet, doggeh fun. I am SO in love.

Here’s how much of an anxious dog mom I am, though – the whole time, I was thinking, “Man this dog is adorable but I would be scared my dogs would somehow suffocate in all of that!” Because mine aren’t that bright and they probably would.

Nonetheless, I love this dog’s complete happiness and WISH we could get that kind of snow! Merry Christmas, big guy!! So cute.

  45. anner says:

There really is nothing so frisky and joyous in winter as a doggy in the snow. I just keep thinking how strong healthy this doggy-boy is. What a workout!

Our little corgis, Taffy and Bethany, would hop in the snow like that, but not when it was up over her head. And, of course, it only took a couple of inches before they had to hop, what with their 3-inch corgi legs and all. They’d make reusable paths in the snow, and sometimes get stuck at the end of one, and have to back out.

  46. debg says:

This puppeh makes my heart happeh.

  47. valerie says:

oh cute! he’s having so much fun!

  48. angel* says:

I wish that I was that puppeh!! 700 feet of snow to play/snowboard in!! Like a cloud!! Pouf! *bleen* ^.^

  49. Jackie says:

I second that debg – I had a smile plastered on my face for the whole vid

  50. Nancy says:

Wicked Cute! Good music (maybe it will knock the ‘Santa Kitty’ song, stuck in my head since the lit-up Simon post.)

  51. trish says:

    *has a happy*

I’ve never seen a dog actually do the snoopy dance before!

    In snow.

  52. Catherine says:

We have a daschund that loves snow. We don’t get as much snow as Bailey, but being as our dog is only 3 inches off the ground, it achieves the same effect!

  53. Liz says:

Hah, I love when she hops up on the porch. “Um, excuse me, I can’t help noticing that you’re not frolicking…?”

  54. MandaBain says:

I’m with anner…loved the boundless joy (pun intended), but couldn’t help but be anxious watching the doggeh completely disappear more than once – he’s a strong guy to be able to plow and jump through snow like that! And while I’d like a foot or so maybe once a year (for a week tops), I would NOT want snow like this! Fun to visit, but I’d be sick of it after a couple of days :-p

  55. Paunchie says:

    bounce bounce bounce bounce!

Way to work all that puppeh energeh out!

    <3 == heart happeh !

  56. Emily says:

That is one weather-loving pet. My cat won’t even go outside when it’s windy.

  57. Amy R. says:

Whatever he’s on, I want some!

  58. Shadyman says:

Love the 2-footed baroo at 0:53

  59. Cheryl says:

You know, cats and dogs are fairly similar animals: both domesticated predatory carnivores, families felidae and canidae close in the mammal kingdom and all that — but Bailey illustrates they’re universes apart. You all with cats: imagine them out in the snow. See what I mean?

  60. Dan in AZ says:

Yo, that’s one crazy dog, yo. OK: in the winter of 1967 — the year I was born — Winslow, AZ had 5 feet of snow. One of my sisters was walking on a 3 foot cement block fence and fell in. It took several minutes to find her, cuz she kept crawling in different directions is the ALLEDGED story. After seeing this handsome fellow, I see that the snow caves in! How could I be so cullable…

  61. Rooanne says:

Never seen anything quite like that. Can’t stop smiling!!!
    Pure Joy.

  62. J. Bo says:

    That dog is CRAZY-GO-NUTS!

  63. Patty P says:

LOL! I love that he looks at the camera person, not understanding why they won’t go frolic too! Thanks for the grins.

  64. girlnextdoortn says:

That is the most joyful thing I have seen in my entire life.

  65. Annie says:

Cheryl Just for you a kitty frolicking in the snow… very very cute

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhdhgi7htTU

  66. berthaservant says:

At 1:46 it looks like he’s made a question mark.

    The answer, Bailey, is yes.

    Just amazing.

  67. jen says:

that is the biggest mole i’ve ever seen!

    so cute.

  68. Villy says:

What a happy in the snow puppy!!

Reminds me of my husky. So cute.

  69. Villy says:

    Cheryl, my kitty LUFFS snow!!!

    She LUFFS it!

But then, she also likes to play in water, and play fetch.

She’s a dog in disguise, and therefore a bad example.

  70. Purple says:

I LOFFED this, and sent it everywhere! Happy Happy Joy Joy!

  71. Sue says:

This, in a nutshell, is how I feel about the snow. Bailey is my canine soulmate.

  72. Biscuit Tin says:

I imagine a cat looking out the window thinking, “Idiot dog. I’ve never seen worse sledding snow; not to mention fort building or snowball fighting. This snow serves no purpose whatsoever. WE can not be bothered.”

  73. Neopatra says:

You guys will love this one.

  74. Nancy C says:

    Love your snow pup !!

  75. Kar says:

My Rusty used to do that. Except he was white and a miniature poodle. We ended up putting a mustard yellow sweater on him just so we’d be able to find him.

  76. totalee puppy says:

    Amy R. LOL!
    Is there something called
Bailey’s Irish Cream? corrections in 3…2…1…
Just trying to think what he could be on…

  77. totalee puppy says:

    Or Bailey could be on…
    Biscuithead’s Egg Nog
    8 shots of Bourbon
    1 shot of Nog
    Seasoned with a dash of
    nutmeg…
    (hold the catnip)

  78. Katie says:

    AAAHAHAHAHAAAA!!! =D

  79. J. Bo says:

I can’t not hardly believe the fully-embodied JOY of this dog. I’ve watched this clip at least twice a day since it was posted, and I STILL laugh and delight in the insane spectacle.

  80. Mary says:

    That looked fun!

  81. HvsL says:

trish- FABS I didn’t think snoopy dance til you said it, but she totally is!

also, Re: tunnels with no surfacing for air, I have only one thing to say: LOfrickinL. That is absolutely HYSTERICAL!
