Delicious kitteh hair holiday cookies coming right up.

With tiny hairballs on top.

Eileen B., when the kitteh is in the mixer, make sure it’s on the low setting. Just like when kittehs are in the tumble dryer, they like a low setting.

As the all-wise mug in the mall read: Everything tastes better with cat hair.

Someone, quick, dig up that cartoon where Marcus the dog who thinks his new found kitty pal has been turned into a cookie!

You’ll need to sift that flour, er, kitteh, a few more times. I can see there are still lumps there.

The kitteh needs to be much smoother to make a good kitteh, er, cookie dough!

S/he looks just like my Truffle (RIP). I bet that cat has a whole range of wonderful tricks-Truff-Truff did, for sure!

I love strained kittehs!! They are like strained peas, but better. :)

My bad – his name was Marc Antony, not Marcus.

I wanna know where the cat slav…owner got the colander–I would love a mesh colander that big!

The kitty is pretty adorable too, but I already have my own little grey cat to put in a colander!

BRILLIANT hovertext. worth the approximately six-minute wait. ;-)

Can I call him “Colonel Mustache?”

13 i_wuvs_puttins 11.30.08 at 5:08 pm

No meal is complete without a cat hair. You need at least one.

14 Theo 11.30.08 at 5:09 pm

TUM — Sounds right to me. Very sievelized.

15 Scoot 11.30.08 at 5:10 pm

16 jenjen 11.30.08 at 5:11 pm

The glowing angry eyes in the smaller pic make me think there’s about to be some baking from scratch.

17 anastasia 11.30.08 at 6:11 pm

strrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaiiiiiin out that kitty hair, once done, you can wrap hair into eety beeety balls. mash up kitty with sledgehammer. put in oven for ’bout 35?min. when taken out, make sure the angriness doesn’t accidentally scratch your head off. add hairballs.

Something about grey kitties makes my heart melt.

20 NotAnotherMilo 11.30.08 at 6:26 pm

21 berthaservant 11.30.08 at 6:26 pm

Any ’nuffs gonna take umbrage at Meg’s suggestion of cats-in-appliances? No?

I just wanted to say “umbrage.” Which is a great name for a bunneh, by the way.

(Xlnt-e H-text, Teho).

22 Biscuit Tin 11.30.08 at 6:43 pm

I see a kid’s book featuring Kitty Collander, P.I., and her slightly dumb but loyal dog partner named, er….OK, I don’t see a WHOLE book yet, but “Kitty Collander, P.I.” is pretty catchy.

23 Gail (the first one) 11.30.08 at 6:43 pm

@Teho: “Sievelized”—LOL!!!!!

24 260Oakley 11.30.08 at 7:14 pm

Kitteh in the colander is obviously feeling drained.

25 taj 11.30.08 at 7:18 pm

Colanders are the new boxes, for Spring 2009. They allow for improved air circulation, while still providing maxiumum squishitude. They were on all the runways at fashion week this year.

26 Theo 11.30.08 at 8:04 pm

They’re like cat hammocks.

27 Mandi 11.30.08 at 9:46 pm

I have a magnet in my kitchen that says “In this house cat hair is a condiment”.

Any time someone points out that there’s a cat hair in the food I just point to the magnet. I see it as fair warning!

28 Dave T 11.30.08 at 10:37 pm

Always use a large mesh collander for cats. Otherwise it just gets clogged up with cat hair.

29 berthaservant 11.30.08 at 10:59 pm

BTW, because “colander-hab” is kind of clumsy, we refer to the treatment program for such kitties as “mesh-hab.”

Yep. Kitteh is a mesh addict.

30 Sarah 11.30.08 at 11:34 pm

I love it when cats lie in bowls with their little heads dangling over the side, casually looking around. It’s even more fun when it’s a mesh or glass dish so you can look through the sides and see how a cat, like a liquid, takes on the shape of its container. I must go home and make a Pyrex mixing bowl available to my cat at ONCE.
She will then avoid it studiously, because I WANT her to get into it.

31 katie 12.01.08 at 12:17 am

DONT EAT HER OR COOK HER what r they trying to do strain the blood out of her like with pasta but with blood not water

32 browngrl 12.01.08 at 2:22 am

@katie,
I don’t get your comment – is it biting wit or are you actually worried people want to eat cats. In case you are concerned please note the website you are at – people here love animals (even as we speak I am putting both my beloved cats in a colander so I can get a cute photo – although neither is co operating).

33 momof2kitties 12.01.08 at 2:44 am

LOL @ both the pic and Berthaservant. I continue to be a little bit in love with you!

“mesh addict”. Snort.

34 hamster-on-rye 12.01.08 at 3:12 am

Theo, so great about the
2010 colander!

35 totalee puppy 12.01.08 at 3:15 am

jenjen-”baking from scratch” LOL LOL LOL!

36 totalee puppy 12.01.08 at 3:18 am

BServ–I thought that was
a crayon…”Burnt Umbrage”…no?

37 Tori 12.01.08 at 3:55 am

hovertext win.

38 Theo 12.01.08 at 4:18 am

I love the smell of umbrage in the mornin’. Smells like victory.

39 Alex 12.01.08 at 10:27 am

Sarah:

Didn’t you know? Cats *are* a liquid. That is why the container you use to take a cat to the vet is called a “kitty bottle”.

…erm, maybe that’s just at my house?

40 mberkie0 12.01.08 at 12:59 pm

It’s such a strain to think of another pun, but “mesh addict” almost sent me snerking to the floor, B-Serv! Now I feel so drained. Speaking of draining, Picky has been “draining” a lot since he’s been on subQ fluids! Does anyone know if that’s a good sign?

41 Theresa 12.01.08 at 1:15 pm

@Mberkie0, it’s par for the course with subQ. You will be changing the litter a lot. Otherwise how does Picky seem?

42 Edward 12.01.08 at 1:56 pm

‘I shall remain here. Go about your business. This is now mine.’

43 T.U.M. 12.01.08 at 2:35 pm

teh punz iz killin me

44 mberkie0 12.01.08 at 5:19 pm

@Theresa: Picky is doing extremely well for a senior catizen. He still wants to play, he loves his brushies, he eats his ridiculously expensive dry crunchies with moderate appetite (I think they bore him), eyes and ears clear, fur shiny and extremely floofy, energy pretty good for an old guy, sleeps a little more than he used to. He has also become more cling-y than he used to. I’m thinking of changing his middle name to Velcro.

45 Jezebel 12.01.08 at 6:01 pm

Oh, and by the way, remember not to over mix your kittehs because they can get a little tough.

46 Katrina 12.01.08 at 6:45 pm

mberkie0-or from Picky to Sticky-he’ll never know the diff.

47 Theresa 12.02.08 at 1:36 pm

@Mberkie0, excellent! Just keep up the subQ, get his levels taken regularly and watch out for anemia.

48 mberkie0 12.02.08 at 3:26 pm

@Theresa: thx for advice. The subQ is a bit of a trial for both of us…..

49 Lerrinus 12.02.08 at 5:43 pm

Sucha beautiful cat, lovely colour! *pat, pat, pat*

50 Fegli 12.02.08 at 6:38 pm
