I’m a Pebble Pal and I’m OK

by Meg on November 2, 2008

I sleep all night and I sit all day.
I’m the perfect pet, I never eat
You’ll have no allergies.
On Wednesdays I sit even more
Sprinklers wash over me

27817_6_468

I knock down birds. I skip ‘cross ponds.
I like to press wild flowers.
Warm me in an oven
I’ll sit on your back for hours

27817_8_468

I hold doors open, papers down,
I’m faithful as a clock
I’m pretty cute to look at, but
I’m dumb as a rock.

The Ren and Stimpy reference is great! Does anyone else think these are kinda creepy, or is it just me?

Am I the only one who can “hear” I’m a Lumberjack from Monty Python???

I’m a Painted Pebble Pal
and I’m ok
I barely eat
I skip cross ponds
I like to hold doors open…

I didn’t see the original one, so when I read Renee’s comment I was “like, duh.” Sorry Renee.

Nice reviszh Meg.

The first one I looked at without reading, and I thought it was a lil white pup with an E-collar on! Laying in the grass!

Now that I get it, I’m surprised I was fooled.

My cousin (who happens to be named Tracy, wonder if it’s the same?) paints rocks like that! I have a fawn at home that holds my door open. Lurve.

20 Deckard Canine 11.03.08 at 1:33 am

Years ago, I bought a red fox version of this at an auction. Didn’t know it had become a DIY thing.

21 Deckard Canine 11.03.08 at 1:34 am

Wait a minute. “Unusual Animals”? Shouldn’t this be “Product Cuteness”?

22 Subhangi 11.03.08 at 4:49 am

I concur. This should be “product cuteness”!

Nicely done work! [applauds]

OK, listen up- I bought the book on how to do this. It is a wonderful book.
It is impossible to do and I really admire the people who can, I sooooo wanted to make myself a little village of Rock houses with furry little rock critters-alas, all I have it rock that look remarkable like sloppy paperweights.

If anyone know the person or people who do this, tell him/her/them how incredibly talented he/she/they/it are(is).

28 Flora 11.03.08 at 4:07 pm

OH OH OH!!! They were painted by my friend SUZI CHUA. You can see more here: http://suzichua.com

I also paint on rocks. It’s not that hard to do. Suzi offers a CD and e-book on how!

I’m gonna tell her that she’s on cute.com. She’ll be thrilled!

29 ceejoe 11.03.08 at 5:20 pm

33 Raychael 11.04.08 at 6:11 am

I about peed my pants because I thought the first one was ferr reuhlz.

34 Flora 11.04.08 at 11:06 am

Suzi’s website is http://www.suzichua.com. You need to add the www.

[The version without WWW works for me... about half the time. Weird. Anyway, you need to add the http prefix and leave at least one white space after the URL, if you want it to be clickable, like this: http://www.suzichua.com - Ed.]
