THIS JUST IN: A dog blowing bubbles

by Meg on October 19, 2008

…in a casserole dish filled with water.

..for no apparent reason.

…other than to let a guy learn how to format a short video.

4 woofysma 10.19.08 at 11:21 pm

I’m forever blowing bubbles – pretty bubbles in the air.

5 Katrina 10.19.08 at 11:30 pm

That is twice this week I have laughed without restraint. I hope it is because I am feeling better, but ya know, I may be feeling some extra redonk with this mini-flu. I can enjoy this several times a day now! Wonderful!

BUBBLES!! BUBBLES!!!! BUBBLES!!!!!!

*my* bubbles.

7 CJ 10.19.08 at 11:34 pm

Oh gosh. That’s too funny. I thought for a second maybe this was Misha the space dog.

8 Not That Mike The Other Mike 10.19.08 at 11:44 pm

BTW, the music at the end is a bit of my favorite song by Kate Bush, “Wuthering Heights.”

9 Noelegy 10.20.08 at 12:03 am

Thank you, NTMTOM, that was driving me nuts! I knew I recognized the music, but couldn’t place it.

What a great dog! I love her! Any thoughts on the breed? She’s too fluffy for a corgi.

11 binky-mama 10.20.08 at 12:19 am

O-kaaaaaaaaay…..

;)

12 Theresa 10.20.08 at 12:20 am

Now I KNOW I am easily amused, because I LMAO.

13 yaya 10.20.08 at 12:27 am

That looks like a Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie)

For a minute there, when they showed the bowl up close and the dog sat down, I though she was gonna blow bubbles a different way.

Glad she didn’t sit in the bowl!

14 CoffeeCup 10.20.08 at 12:31 am

Misha looks a bit like an akita…and a bit like a border collie.

15 Fegli 10.20.08 at 12:37 am

Aww! What a sweetheart. Love the sheepdog goggies.

16 Lucy 10.20.08 at 1:05 am

That’s hysterical – and I wonder how in the world you train a dog to do THAT…

17 Annie 10.20.08 at 1:06 am

Tiny Bu8bbles

Tiny Bubbles
make me feel fine

18 Theresa 10.20.08 at 1:18 am

This is like the mini-version of a cowboy jacuzzi.

19 scooterpants 10.20.08 at 2:32 am

freakishly odd.
don’t like eet.

20 Andrea 10.20.08 at 2:39 am

I LOLed at the video, and then LOLed again at “Not That Mike The Other Mike”’s movie reference :-D :-D

21 berthaservant 10.20.08 at 2:44 am

That’s a lot of production value for about two or three seconds worth of actual qte.

Puppeh just wants to be a motorboat, that’s all.

22 scooterpants 10.20.08 at 3:08 am

B.serv.
dont ya think master is overly “*itchy” though?
seems that this pup is just a pawn, maybe training for movie money, and not a pet so much.
just my take. doesnt seem so right feeling to me.

23 Jenn 10.20.08 at 3:09 am

Still LMAO! Thanks!

24 Stef 10.20.08 at 3:57 am

5 million points for using Kate Bush. Looooooove her!!

25 AC 10.20.08 at 4:17 am

Ha – yeah. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any weirder, Kate Bush’s “Wuthering Heights” at the end? Talk about your non sequiturs.

26 Lil 10.20.08 at 5:31 am

am I the first nuff nuff?

How do you train a pup to do that…without cruelty? how?

27 Tammy 10.20.08 at 6:37 am

AWW!! Cute!BUBBLES!!! Love the added bit of Wuthering Heights !

28 Lala 10.20.08 at 7:31 am

That is definitely a Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie). They (and other herding dogs) are among the smartest canines.

29 Barbarella von Fluffenstein 10.20.08 at 7:59 am

ROFL!!!! I love it! ;)

30 Hon Glad 10.20.08 at 8:15 am

Daft but funny.

31 Subhangi 10.20.08 at 9:03 am

LOL! Silleh puppeh. But very cute.

32 quixotic83 10.20.08 at 9:22 am

bubbles! bubbles! my bubbles!

cute cute cute

34 T.U.M. 10.20.08 at 12:39 pm

It’s redogulous!

35 LisaL 10.20.08 at 1:31 pm

Lol, that was pretty weird and cute. Wonder how they even trained the dog to do that in the first place though o_O

I remember when I gave our pomeranian (RIP) some milk for the first time. I put the bowl down, and all of a sudden he had his nose in the bowl and was blowing bubbles in it. I cracked up and tryed to get him to do it again, but he never did.

36 Redzilla 10.20.08 at 2:57 pm

The redonk factor on this one goes to eleven.

37 Paul 10.20.08 at 3:24 pm

ROFL…that was like *5 SECONDS* of total content!

38 Jewel 10.20.08 at 3:47 pm

Of course you could train a dog to do this without cruelty, especially dogs that like the water. My yellow lab drops his own toys in his water bucket and then dives his head in to get them, blowing bubbles the whole time. It’s hilarious! The more we laugh and react positively, the more he does it!

39 Snarks 10.20.08 at 5:02 pm

HA! Too funny! My border collie LOVES the water and she’ll dunks her whole head in her play pool all the time! She has a favorite orange football that she loves to dunk and then push all the way to the bottom then hold it with her foot. It’s a riot. We’ve always wondered if she keeps her eyes open under water? Silly doggies.

40 Rooanne 10.20.08 at 5:55 pm

You can see off camera to the left he was given a treat after blowing the bubbles. So cute.

41 that's cute 10.20.08 at 7:15 pm

The owner’s name is Noriko Aso and aso in Tagalog means dog. What a coincidence!

42 skip 10.20.08 at 7:30 pm

This reminds me of a thoroughbred-Arabian gelding I had, he loved to put his muzzle in the water trough and blow bubbles.

43 Kristin C 10.20.08 at 7:34 pm

Good to see the Nemo ref wins are present in the comments. :D

44 Decca 10.20.08 at 7:37 pm

Oh god, Kate Bush gives me hives.

45 Mary (the first) 10.20.08 at 11:44 pm

Now, see, I thought it meant there was SOAP in the water and he was making SOAP bubbles which I would wonder why/how he did not snort some by mistake. This is adorable. Probably takes no time at all to teach them. He’s welcome in my bathtub anytime.

46 chanpon 10.21.08 at 1:05 pm

Tee hee.

47 dk 10.21.08 at 3:29 pm

HAHAHAHAHAHA

WOW !!!

48 Melinda 10.21.08 at 9:17 pm

The credits are longer than Misha’s performance! Misha is a really cute pup, though!
