Thanks everyone. Yes these early days are difficult. The vet. who gently eased Chloe into rest, asssured us that we were doing the best thing for her.

REALLY not trying to be a nuffer here, but in the top picture, it looks like the dog is missing a chunk of flesh and fur, it kind of looks like he’s bleeding. Sorry, but that’s what I saw.

Ah, running budgies! My late, great, Charlie “Bird” Parker used to run after the lagos…and when I’d remind him he could fly, he’d just chatter at me in budgie speak. I miss that boid!

-Lassie-Timmy is in trouble-Lassie saves him. “Good girl Lassie” and she gets scritches and rubs
-Gilligan’s Island-The Professor figures out a way off the Island-Gilligan somehow goofs it up. Gilligan gets wapped on the head with the Skippers hat.
-Scooby Doo- Some nefarious plot is figured out and thwarted by Scooby and the gang. The bad guy is unmasked and says, “And I would have gotten away with it if it wasn’t for you meddling kids.”
Sorry to be so vague previously, it is all a running joke among a group of friends. AHHH memories from childhood TV vewing.

Ew, looks like Lassie needs a good brushing…

[I once knew a beagle and a parakeet that basically grew up together & acted like "littermates". This looks like one of those situations. I mean, it's *dangerous* for our black kitty to lie around underfoot in dark hallways, too, but we manage... - Ed.]

@TheOtherBrenda– today marks a month since I had to let my darling Stinky Cat go. We are never really ready for that parting. It’s good to have other fun, loving little beasties and people around, and to look at CO, and laugh as much as you can.

The other Brenda- Chloe is at peace, and now it is our turn to try to give you some consolation-I’m betting that Chloe had a wonderful life with you, you can be very proud of that. These first few days are awful; many of us here have walked in your shoes. Maybe there is another little (or not so little) critter that can come to you and bring you his/her own particular happiness? It sounds like you are a wonderful companion animal!
