In my humble opinion, anything (critter, including people) that can love has a soul. I have met some very soul-full non-humans. The obverse is true- if one cannot love, one is soul-less or has lost the soul once given them.

I don't think I can say anything other than what's been said already. LOVE the eyes/expressions.

I'm younger than the regular CO crowd, but I remember My Buddy/Kid Sister and even that Saturday Morning cartoon break clip. That said, Patito Gigante's link cracked me up! G-Unit and Fiddy's use of My Buddy in their song... a darker My Buddy, indeed.
