The gray kitty looks just like my 18 yr old Muffy. Only Muffy would never get that close to another kitty, she would snarl at him for being in her way and walk a wide circle around him. The only time she has snuggled with any of my other cats was when the ice storm shut the power off for a week, then she was happy to keep warm with them.
Wow, what a beautiful kitty corpse! I’ve never seen a cat quite like that – anyone know what kind it is? I love how that back leg is curled slightly around the chair leg.
I think it looks like the spotted kitteh is only pretending to be asleep and having a hard time not cracking up… especially when Mr.Grey Paws is poking him in the belleh.
The gray looks like the spotted one’s shadow. Maybe he escaped out the window for a little nighttime fun and is now returning, like Peter Pan’s shadow.
Is that a bengal? Two bengal kittens boarded at my job and I believe an employee ended up adopting them because they were such beasts that the owner didn’t want them! (they were beasts; I strongly disliked them) THIS ONE’S CUTE THOUGH!
2 beautiful kittehs! I love the leopard one (which in my head I always pronounce like leotard, because they are very nearly the same word, and I don’t understand why they are pronounced differently).
I wonder if the leopard cat is an Egyptian Mau? They are the only naturally spotted domestic cat… We think our cat Strife is part Egyptian Mau… he has a lot of the Mau characteristics, including spots, and a propensity to play fetch. (Srsly)
Methinks this is not a leo-pard (illegitimate offspring of a lion and a pard), but rather a *true* Pard. Unlike the dasturdly leo-pard, the Pard is gentle and has the sweetest floral breath, which it uses to draw other creatures near it’s lair in order to tell them noble stories. This is likely why grey kitty finds it irresistable. (References 7th century bestiary, while sniffing for fishy kitty breath)
I would need to see the eyes better on grey kitty to determine if it was indeed a Russian Blue- they have golden amber eyes. But the length of the nose (Blues are a little bit “cobby”) as well as the hint of green eyes I see in pic #2 tells me this might be a Korat cat. I have a half-breed Korat, she’s so beautiful and sweet.
Actually, aloria, the cat DID move! Just not much, and it more or less just flopped to the other direction. See picture 5: facing away from the striped container (or whatever it is) and picture 6: facing toward the container.
Such pretty cats! I’m a big fan of spotted cats, I just think they’re so exotic looking. I love how the spots on its belly radiate out with the fur. Awesome.
What a beautiful spotty coat that lil guy has! The grey guy looks like my Mr. Picky aka the Furfactory, except that Picky’s fur is more floofy. Is the spotty guy a particular breed? Like “oci-cat?” or some such? Or is he a “dark orange mackerel tabby?”
Hmm, Alexis you’re right, apparantly I was going by old information. The traditional Russian Blue had amber or orange colored eyes, but at some point along the way has changed to green! My cat breed book is very old. I guess this is like the way Siamese cats had round apple heads way back in the ’60s (I still like traditional Siamese more).
It’s a marbled Bengal kitten and a Russian Blue. You can tell because of the silver sheen on the grey cat’s coat. Someone’s got two awesome fancy cats.
Belleh needs a good snorgling; toes need to be stroked in direction of curlage; front paws need to be manually curled; and smiling face MUST be keeeesed.
Noelle, I clapped my hand over my mouth JUST in time to not let the laugh out! It’s dangerous to look at this site while I’m at work. These kitters are both gorgeous! Though Mr. spottycoat is a bit more irresistable in an exotic way.
Hyura, you are very lucky! And, how did Rafter get his name? Do these tw0 usually get along okay? Wish my kitty had a buddy; but she goes ballistic when she sees another cat.
@hyura, nice pictures! Thank you for sharing with us! Your kits look like they have incredibly soft fur. Also, I admire the nice woodgrain of your furniture.
@sunnymum and David – yes, they’re named after tennis players. safin is a little bit on the jealous side, but rafter is so happy-go-lucky and fearless that they get along fine. i wish they would snuggle just once though.
This is why I love kittehs SO MUCH. They’re so funny!! I’m sure Sabin is just teasing Rafter.. if Rafter were to awaken from one of those taps, Sabin would be peeking around from table leg “who, me?” and ready to play tag.
2 beautiful kitties. *drops dead* I love the pattern on the bengal’s fur! Um, and you can kind of see…the bengal’s balls, um, in the fifth picture. I feel guilty invading the poor kitteh’s privacy.
I’ve waited to enjoy the pictures and all the comments until Caturday. This is great–really puts
“catur” in the “day”. Thanks for the hovertext yesterday-it’s worth waiting
for!
[SCHMICKITY SHMACKEREL TAXABLE INCOME]! Adorable pair — smoky cat has some nerve!
WOW!
2 Beautiful Kitties!
WANT!
Awww, sweetness.
Kitteh’s only mostly dead.
dude! comon! we NEED rollover text!!!!
That leopard kitteh couldn’t care less.
Beauty sleep going on.
truly adorable kitties, and what a sweet set of photos.
Those are two gorgeous hunks of cathood. I just LOVE the spotted belleh.
The gray kitty looks just like my 18 yr old Muffy. Only Muffy would never get that close to another kitty, she would snarl at him for being in her way and walk a wide circle around him. Truuueee Looooovvvve
(or is that ‘to blev’?)
[...so he owes you money, right? - Ed.]
The gray looks like the spotted one’s shadow. Maybe he escaped out the window for a little nighttime fun and is now returning, like Peter Pan’s shadow.
hover text? I needs mah hover text!
@Babs: There’s a difference between mostly dead and all dead.
Hmm, looks like Cat, smells like Cat,feels like Cat, is Cat, in a fancy fur coat.
Can’t…. stop… trying…. to pet…. belleh… thru… compooter screen…. must…. resist….
That is the softest looking kitteh I haz ever seenz.
Hover text is desperately needed.
Is that a bengal? Two bengal kittens boarded at my job and I believe an employee ended up adopting them because they were such beasts that the owner didn’t want them! (they were beasts; I strongly disliked them) THIS ONE’S CUTE THOUGH!
That has got to be the most beautiful cat I’ve ever seen! I wants it!!!
2 beautiful kittehs! I love the leopard one (which in my head I always pronounce like leotard, because they are very nearly the same word, and I don’t understand why they are pronounced differently).
Those cats are PRETTY!!
Babs & (t.o.)Mel: MAWWAGE?
I wonder if the leopard cat is an Egyptian Mau? They are the only naturally spotted domestic cat… We think our cat Strife is part Egyptian Mau… he has a lot of the Mau characteristics, including spots, and a propensity to play fetch. (Srsly)
This scene of diabeetus inducing qte would NEVEER happen in my house. In my house it would go more like…
“sniff, sniff.”
“snarl.”
“hiss.”
“growl.”
“spit.”
“more hissing.”
“batting with claws.”
“poofy tails.”
“running away, leaving fur tufts behind”.
Methinks this is not a leo-pard (illegitimate offspring of a lion and a pard), but rather a *true* Pard. hee hee-these 2 are TOO cute!
Grey cat looks like our Coco!
I will return to this post later in the day and perhaps I can haz hovertext?
Super cute!!!!! yeah, my kitties would NEVER do this either! ha-ha!
wow both those kitties are so pretty..
Grey kitty looks like a Russian blue. NOSE, I say, NOSE!
@Mel…Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead there’s only one thing you can do. Go through his clothes and look for loose change.
Grey kitty is all…WTF! This wasn’t here this morning!
I would need to see the eyes better on grey kitty to determine if it was indeed a Russian Blue- they have golden amber eyes. But the length of the nose (Blues are a little bit “cobby”) as well as the hint of green eyes I see in pic #2 tells me this might be a Korat cat. Spotted kitty is really beautiful. What striking coloring!
Absolutely adorable.
I ♥ spotty bellies!
He’s dead, Jim.
PRISHUS!
Hahahaha I love how it doesn’t move the whole time the grey cat is messing with him. That is one hell of a napper.
Actually, aloria, the cat DID move! Just not much, and it more or less just flopped to the other direction. See picture 5: facing away from the striped container (or whatever it is) and picture 6: facing toward the container.

Zanna, my Russian Blue has green eyes. Or at least she told me she was a Russian Blue. Maybe she’s a secret undercover Korat kitty?
Obviously someone never heeded the advice to let sleeping cats lie…
bengal I thinks. beautious. both of them!
Bengal kitten!!
*dead*
What breed of kitty is the spotted one?
“Damn it, Jim. I’m a Doctor, not a Zookeeper!”
Grey kitty went for the axis of snorgling at the end, there.
the grey cat looks like my bff’s kitty sam! awwwww!!!
Hmm, Alexis you’re right, apparantly I was going by old information. The traditional Russian Blue had amber or orange colored eyes, but at some point along the way has changed to green! Oh! he looks a little like my bengal, Prince! Makes me want to run home and kiss my little furbaby!
I love how sleepy kitty is smiling in the first few pictures! What a beautiful pair of kittehs!
The axis of snorggle has a gravitational pull to it. You can’t help but get snorffed in!
I seriously gotta scratch me some kitty tummy like now.
What’s this about no hovertext/rollovers? They’re all there…
(…and I didn’t even have to do ‘em)
nawwww, so tie-tie!
Belleh needs a good snorgling; toes need to be stroked in direction of curlage; front paws need to be manually curled; and smiling face MUST be keeeesed.
the grey one, safin, used to be this baby here.
http://mfrost.typepad.com/cute_overload/2008/01/post.html
the little guy is named rafter.
and yes, i’m feeling all proud for their cuteness in which i had no role whatsoever. hee hee.
Noelle, I clapped my hand over my mouth JUST in time to not let the laugh out! It’s dangerous to look at this site while I’m at work. These kitters are both gorgeous! Though Mr. spottycoat is a bit more irresistable in an exotic way.
I MUST have the spotty kitty!
Wuv… twu wuv
and slightly sneaky, almost probably not meant to be Douglas Adams comment there – “Mostly Harmless”
I just love BOTH kitties, but especially the sleeping one. Gosh this makes me want to figure out a way to get rid of my allergies!
@sunnymum, me thinks Hyura is a tennis fan, naming the cats after Marat Safin and Patrick Rafter.
Oh! De leeetle leopard kitty just smiles and smiles through the whole thing. I think somebody’s playing possum!
@sunnymum and David – yes, they’re named after tennis players. safin is a little bit on the jealous side, but rafter is so happy-go-lucky and fearless that they get along fine. i wish they would snuggle just once though.
Ok, seriously I snorted at the hovertexts. (And since Teho says he didn’t do them, I’m guessing they are Miss Meg’s brilliance)
‘Surely my tapping will tell me something’
and
‘Ye Olde Tap ‘n’ Sniff should help…’
I laughed just retyping them.
This is why I love kittehs SO MUCH. They’re so funny!! I’m sure Sabin is just teasing Rafter.. if Rafter were to awaken from one of those taps, Sabin would be peeking around from table leg “who, me?” and ready to play tag.
oh, and i’d like to thank meg. thank you!!
OMG Double Qteness. I am slain.
*heddesk*
I wonder if he tastes like marble cake?
:∂
<3
I love how raftin’s rolled over, but is still either soundly asleep or doing a good job faking it.
The smile makes me think he’s faking it.
What? No “Leopards are beautiful animals and should not be kept as pets to be abused by other, bigger, meaner kitties!” from the nuffers?
I AM SO dissapointed in you people!
In other news, I want those cats.
Oooookay…
“Leopards are beautiful animals and should not be kept as pets to be abused by other, bigger, meaner kitties!”
/nuff.
Feel better? Glad to serve.
In other news, SpottyBottyBelly!!!!!
Must huff. Now.
Prosh kitty toes
curled around the table leg.
I loves them so much.
Is that mostly a sneaky Aliens/South Park reference in there? Mostly?
2 beautiful kitties. *drops dead* I love the pattern on the bengal’s fur! Um, and you can kind of see…the bengal’s balls, um, in the fifth picture. I feel guilty invading the poor kitteh’s privacy.
Thank you for the hovertext!!!!
Wow, my cat looks just like the sleeper, except gray. I too sneak up and touch his spots while he sleeps. And so would you.
Ahhn! They both look so McSoftersons!
Omg. SOOOOOO cute. I love this sequence. I also love the softness of the belly and the cowlick!!
@estella: the mostly harmless is a reference to hitchhiker’s guide to the galaxy
Looks like a West Point cadet with all them rows of buttons on his chest.
What beautiful markings! Kitteh looks to be the softest of the soft!
What a beautiful little cat! I wonder what kind he is, he has nice markings.
!! such prettiful kittehs ! ^.^ i lurve the bengal kitteh eshpeshially. *huggles*
*snorgles kittehs*
They are so cute! I love cats, and that is the cutest story ever!
If you gave the leopard one a diamond collar it would look like a movie star.
Gray cat looks like my Kyd! Too cute bbs!
what breed is that omgs explosions
iwant iwant iwant! And I thought my 2 orange [ocelots] were cute! I think they now have a run for their money. Seriously, is that a breed?
Raymi & Iconic — I *think* spotty kitty is a Bengal.

for!
Front paws up, kitteh-pants, two soft-looking kittehs – check, check, check. Oh, and a kitteh not in the mood to attack. *snorgles kitteh belly*
*grin*
Yay, for Caturday,

the peeps and animules play!
Throwin’ puddins and funny cliché,
Make way for Caturday!
This baby wears leopardskin in STYLE! Beautiful kittehs.
