I love the diluted kittehs! It’s funny, I never even knew they existed before this year and now there is a stray torti, calico, and tabby where I live – all diluted. They’re SO CUTE, I love ‘em!

I’ll bet that Victoria would appreciate it if you would attribute the words accompanying the pictures to her, rather than “Helen,” as well. They are a very close paraphrase of her post, and simply changing it to “Victoria said” and “Victoria asked” should go a long way to smooth things over, as it would be accurate attribution.

Not cool, not cool. When talking about other people’s work, it is opt-in, not opt-out. Pics should be removed until you have her explicit permission to use them, especially since you claim right to use the photos as you will once you’ve accepted them (see your very own Cute Overload Submissions Contract).
Ellen, I’ve already heard back from Victoria R. & made edits accordingly. It’s only not cool to whoever “Helen” is, and I’m not terribly concerned, since she’s hardly the wronged party.
(also, of course, we do keep up-to-date records about the permissions we have for submitted material; in this case, obviously we’d have to get written permission *separately* before re-using Victoria’s images on, just for example, the 2010 calendar)

I did not realize there were different and quite distinct levels of “being ded” from the cuteness but i am dedder now that I have ever been before. The cuteness has killed me to Nth degree dead.

Why in a lifetime of having cats, have I never experienced this nirvana kitty scene?
The closest I come is seeing my husband of 10 years and my cat of 14 years FINALLY sitting on the couch together. It’s been 10 years. Course they are both scooched up at opposite ends of the couch, but it still counts for me.

I love torties! One tried to follow me to school today. (I was walking.) So cute! I kind of started to panic when i got to school, though, because it wouldn’t leave me alone. I’m like, WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?! It worked out though.

We have an orange kitty named Henry, too! It’s a good name on a cat.
