    :snicker:
    Mano ex machina.

  2. Wombats says:

Somebody needs to break out the sewing machine and make little black & white prisoner suits STAT!

  3. Theo says:

…and then there were two! LOL!!

  4. Jen says:

I love the whole, “Here, climb on my back and I’ll give you a boost up.”

  5. RBC says:

The break out would be more effective if one of the hammies had a complex tattoo showing all the details of the escape plan.

And if there wasn’t a giant who kept putting them back into Fox River.

  6. kasia says:

anyone else get just a flashing white image with the photobucket logo on it and two arrows on the bottom!?

  7. kestrien says:

What a nice hamster mommy to ensure they didn’t tumble off the edge. Such gentle scooping! I saw a hammie in Petco last night for adoption – I wanted him really bad, but am afraid my cats would be a little too interested. I mean, you should see what happens when I get crickets for the gecko!

  8. scooterpants says:

their persistance is impressive, and i LOVE the team-work going on here.
too bad for the hoo-man who spend three hours smashing the loops on the little fence sections to find out that, amazing! the hammies can climb right out! dang!

  9. Erebella says:

I love the wigglage as they climb up. Spider ham, does whatever a spider ham does…..

  10. AmyJ says:

Little hammie #2 doesn’t look like he can make it to the top – or did he (she?) stopped halfway up to dance? Excellent hammie tock wiggling!

Do you think hammie #1 turns back at the end because he doesn’t want to leave his BFF hammie behind? (“I’m not leaving without you!”)

  11. Dawn M says:

Reminds me of mister hand always thwarting Mr Bill

  12. Yodie says:

I know this isnt related to this post… but do you all remember the hand holding otter from the vancouver aquarium?? Well she died on the 23rd.

watch?v=BQLQhZ-YO_s on Youtube or go to the vancouver aquarium and they tell a story about her, and her life there.

Again – sorry for OT post.

  13. Yodie says:

    vancouver aquarium channel*

  14. Freak says:

Yodie: They posted about the otter’s death the other day.

  15. cheesybird says:

    “Curses! Foiled again!”

That is some of the cutest hammy tock shimmying I’ve ever seen!

    *shimmy shimmy shimmy*
    *scoop* *plop*
    *Harumph*
    *shimmy shimmy shimmy*

  16. Birdcage says:

At T-48 seconds (or thereabouts) I love the visual disappointment in Ham as he makes it to the top *again* only to discover THE HAND *again* – he steps with such resignation into THE HAND with “Drat! Foiled again!” body language.

  17. Juno says:

Poor gullible hammie! When will he learn? I kept wanting to yell at the screen, “NO! THE HAND WILL ONLY PUT YOU BACK IN!”

  18. Ray says:

    the hammie-hands! WAAAAY too cute.

What is that, a portable hamster cage? Doesn’t look very secure to me.

I’ve got a kitty here that would like to volunteer to be the turn-key.

  19. Yodie says:

    @ Freak:

Thank you for that. I had a flat tire that morning on my way to work… and I missed my morning CO. I’m just so relieved to find out that she wasn’t forgotten.

  20. gravyboat says:

He climbs those little poles like a wee fuzzy stripper!

  21. Lucy says:

That’s not musak, it’s the Prison Break theme song, which makes this even more hilarious. Now the ham just needs a full-torso tat with escape routes.

  22. Hammama says:

Darn! I just ordered this playpen for my robos *today*!

These guys are *so* cute- persistent little buggers, are they?!

  23. CoffeeCup says:

@Ray, I think that’s more of a portable play pen. They make them in various sizes, for hams and big ones for dogs.

    See: http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2754677

  24. pookie says:

“Despite all my rage I am still just a ham in a cage…”

  25. Lone says:

This video is sorely lacking without Benny Hill.

  26. Tee says:

Ok, the vidoe did not make me laugh….but….”climbs those little poles like a wee fuzzy stripper!” made me fall out of my chair!

    The Mental Image!!!!!!!!

  27. CoffeeCup says:

@pookie: If Billy Corgan had a ham, I hope he wouldn’t name it pumpkin. The implications for violence are hazardous.

  28. RBC says:

@Lucy: I agree, the Prison Break theme remix is what really makes this video awesome, aside from its inherent hammie cuteness. Those hams have to escape so they can stop The Company!

  29. Lynn says:

I can’t even handle that. Seriously, what are you people trying to do to me? It’s just not fair. It’s too much to deal with.
    ;)

  30. Zanna says:

    OMG they’re named Itsy-Bitsy and Teeny-Weeny? *thud*

  31. MelissaF says:

This is great and the music is perfect for what’s going on. Love it!

  32. Bailey says:

Gotta love how the fat one resigns to chewing his way out of the cage instead of climbing the unending wall of slippery fugitivity.

  33. Fegli says:

Love the little fatty mouse who can’t… quite… MAKE IT..!

  34. katiedid says:

OMG.. that is the cutest thing I have seen in a long time.. lol

  35. Meredith says:

What a cute little playpen. Though clearly, not a very effective one.

  36. divinebluesky says:

sisyphus ham, a most cunning varmint! or, maybe not :)

  37. chacha says:

    gold-medal Hamnastics.

  38. kem says:

I wish the person didn’t keep picking them up when they get to the top… I want to see how they get over and down!

  39. Ray says:

    “wee fuzzy stripper”
    “gold-medal Hamnastics”

aaaaaaahhhhh! yer’ killin’ me folks! First the little hammies on the lam, then the great comments.

    POOOOOFFFFFF! (head explosion)

  40. HAZEL says:

OMG HOW DOES THE DUDE HAVE THE POWER TO RESTRAIN HIMSELF FROM CUDDLING THE HAMMIES EVERY 5 SECONDS WHAT KIND OF MONSTER ARE YOU????!!!

  41. Dr Anne says:

Cute the first two runs but what about enriching that barren creche environment so they don’t want to escape? It breaks my heart to see the efforts of hammies frustrated like that. C’mon people!

  42. Theresa says:

If they only had a poster of Rita Hamworth. ;)

  43. Theresa says:

Oy, I just gave my self a mental picture of a Rita Hayworth-like hamster– perhaps like that tiny stripperette in that recent posting.
(extra-high voice) “Put the blame on Mame, boys . . .”

  44. Capt' Tightpants says:

Erebella said “Spider ham, does whatever a spider ham does…..”

    HA!!!

    Oh, and also: **headsplode**

Those hams are terribly terribly adorable. Oh, the rotundity!

  45. Celeste M. says:

Uh-oh, I just got that playpen for my robos! =O

Luckily, though, I wasn’t planning on leaving them alone in it, so they should be OK. =) Also, I’m not so sure they’re as clever as the hammies in this video, heh.

  46. knightofmonarch says:

I hope that this is only a “holding pen” . I didn’t see any food or water bowls. Maybe their owners were cleaning their home while the hammies were playing

  47. Cool Gecko says:

Dun dah dun dun DAH! And then their chipmunk ally, wearing a leetle black eyemask, jumps out and knaws the bars open with his teeth!

  48. Quats says:

The sliding down sideways got the laugh from me. Just hanging at the top and weeee-oop! >slither< and start over.

  49. Natalia says:

I’m sorry to say.. but this is cruelty. The hammies were getting stressed with the game. And, yeah! I didn’t see any food or water either. oO

  50. Theo says:

    KnightOfMonarch — it’s a playpen.

  51. Natalia says:

    comment erased?

  52. Theo says:

Unpublished, Natalia. I still have it.
There is no cruelty in this clip. Please behave.

  53. Golden or NTKTOK says:

    Gawd, that was AWESOME.

    The wigglewiggleshimmy kills me!

  54. “Free the Springfield Two!” — Homer J. Simpson

  55. foxy says:

    PHOTOSHOPPED!!!!!!

    Sorry

I just read the comments from the deer/dog/primate pics and couldn’t resist.

But what I really want to know is, did anybody else have a sudden flash of Donkey Kong climbing a ladder? That’s the first thing I thought of when I saw the ham going up the bars. Just part of the video game generation, I guess.

  56. Lux says:

I doubt that their only home is this playpen. They would have gone out all over the place. At least the one that could. Their actual home seems to be in the top left corner.

Is it just me, or is the hand and laughing voice actually a guy, and not a mommy?

Also, that was ridiculously cute. I wish I could have pets :(

  57. That little SLIDE down!!!! OMG! This cracked me up! :)

  58. Hon Glad says:

Fingers “Come on lefty, you just get a good Grip and up you go” Lefty “urrgh gah I can’t do eet”
    Fingers “Whatsup”
Lefty “I ate too much, I’m too damned fat.”

  59. snickers says:

I like how the ham owner every so gently sets the little prisoners back down on the floor.

  60. momof2kitties says:

They’re trying to get to the girlie ham with the gorgeous gams of a few posts ago!

Twoo wuv must not be stopped!

    Go hammie, go!!

  61. Linda H. says:

    Foiled again . . and again . . and again . .

  62. CoffeeCup says:

What is it about that corner in particular? In the first few seconds, the ham races to the red corner, only to return to the blue/green corner and proceed to choose that area to plan his escape. Not that he would’ve gotten out anyway, not with the all-seeing human there, but he could’ve tried.

  63. Wendy says:

    TRIBBLES!

  64. Katrina says:

    “Who is number 1?”

    “You are number 6″

    “I am not not a number, I am a
    hamster!”

And that god-awful balloon-thing comes screaming out of the water ….
Why, yes, I did have nightmares last night, why do you ask?

  65. superboymom says:

My teenage son has 3 robo-hammies. They are about as big as a marshmallow and they love to fluff up and cuddle together. He named them Peanut, Butter and Jelly . . . they are really adorable (and don’t smell at all)!

  66. Tori says:

AWW! Robos are way too cute!! I love how they eagerly jump onto that hand only to be put back in there again. They have a moment of indignant surprise like they’re saying, “HEY!!!” and then they’re off again!

  67. Elise says:

    OMG such cutage!

i love how they scuttle around…it’s totally like watching a cartoon!

  68. Yushi says:

Oh wow, superboymom, I had my friend name her 3 hamsters ‘peanut, butter and jelly’ too! But when peanut left, we changed the names to jelly and donut XD Jelly donut!

  69. Elanor says:

Oh, I geddit, it’s the Robo of a few posts ago, the wee reluctant stripping one, who’s doing her pole dance routine.

This vid gets me pretty worried. My two sapphire winter whites have a cage connected to a playpen like this, via tubes. I’ve seen Pouch and Piggles scale the poles commando-style, if two panels of the playpen are too close together.

Fortunately though, so far, they have not run away. Fingers crossed…

  70. Elisha B. says:

    Too cute! Too funny!

    Bad hammies:)
    Good mommie;)

I miss my hammie days, but now have bunbun days, so I guess life is still good.

  71. FlyingRat says:

This vid just makes me warm and fuzzy all over. Those Robos are obviously very loved; they are full of energy, as Robos should be, but they are not afraid of the hand at all. Cute little fuzzy brown eggs!
