Chelly is THE MAN. Anybody who can still play NHL level hockey at 42 years old (or whatever is he is exactly) is a serious dude, and should be respected.

As for our house, we have one Draper lover (that’s me!) and one Yzerman lover (my daughter). Yeah, I know he’s retired and a team president in the front office now, but no matter. She loves him anyway. Her room is a shrine to Red Wings adoration, just this side of creepy. Some girls follow the Jonas Brothers. My daughter? Red Wings trivia nut. God love her.

Theo Epstein is a stupid little boy who was made executive VP of the Red Sox. He is jealous of all popular Red Sox players (e.g. Nomar Garciaparra, Johnny Damon, Pedro Martinez, Manny Ramirez, Bronson Arroyo, and unfortunately probably more of my current favorites) and does everything in his evil power to run them out of town.

@Momof2: I root for the Red Wings, too. You’ve got my favorite, Chris Chelios (who is also the best looking guy in hockey–IMHO). He is a HUGE Cubs fan. On his day with the Stanley Cup, he brought it to Wrigley Field, where he threw out the first pitch and sang “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”.

@Scamps, the only *really* incorrect thing in your posting was the part about “Yankee-loving.” Ew.

Otherwise, the idea of 40,000 pairs of buttocks clenching in their seats was just too funny (for me) to pass up.
