Welcome to the nuttiness, mumrik! Fun, isn’t it?

  10. milquetoast says:

  11. Lee says:

For a second there, I was wondering “is that a ferret or a chihuahua?”

  12. Ryan says:

That little dude is the Steve Carell of chihuahuas.

  13. Joe says:

@Lee: I was thinking one of his grandparents was a giraffe.

  14. Gail (the first one) says:

    Talk about your ‘pencil-necked geek’—LOL!!!!

  15. Carolina2 says:

All of his portfolios are amazing, but you HAVE to go to portfolio 2, picture 135, and you will see a doggie with the LONGEST, proshest eyelashes EVAH!!! You won’t believe your own eyes!! (While browsing through that portfolio, don’t forget to LOL at all the toungies in there.)

  16. Fuzzalina says:

When he grows up he wants to be K-Fed?

  17. That’s a pretty active Jr. High school that has a X-Country team AND a JV (?) badminton team.

:: googling “Sonderson” and “Barry” because that’s prolly where Meg went to school ::

I love how the pup LOOKS adolescent, like he should have the squeaky voice of the teenager on the Simpsons.

Or no! It’s Michael Cera in pup form!

  18. warrior rabbit says:

Fuzzalina, at first I thought he wanted to be Alan Greenspan, given the shirt and badminton. That also seemed like a somewhat unlikely aspiration for a 7th grader. Now I think he just wants to be fed as in given food. I’m deeply ashamed it took me more than one reading to realize that.

  19. warrior rabbit says:

Berthaservant, yeah, a little more high school-y than junior high. (Also, Berry not Barry.) Try NorCal, badminton is an actual HS sport up there.

  20. cheryl says:

Ha! once his voice changes, I think he’s totally gonna be the star of the debate team. and despite his sports interests, i see him as more of a mathlete. don’t worry, pup, girls dig geeks.

  21. Aesthetica says:

this one is definitely a mathlete.

  22. Martha in Washington says:

Doncha wish ALL school pics were this good.

  23. Space Cowgirl says:

I showed BF this. He doesn’t see what’s wrong with it.

    *sigh* Dog people.

  24. sarah says:

the little guy looks like a ferret. i am a cat person, so I hate chihuahuas, but this IS kind of cute. I think his name is Pepe! :)

  25. Totalee Puppy says:

I can identify with this little guy…We can work on the school newspaper and
yearbook…Our “Countdown to Prom Queen” weekly column-with-photographs will have those
Beautiful Babies waiting at the bike racks with their portfolios…Pizza with Beneful? Can we take a
    raincheck? We’re busy guys,
and we want to give you all the attention you deserve…

  26. scooterpants says:

ah, cute lil baby boy socker playin, jock/nerd first day of school sweetie.
    very cute.

  27. Girls like geeks? Not in my world. Girls like rich guys with six-pack abs who like kittens and Project Runway.

  28. warrior rabbit says:

Wow, berthaservant, way to generalize, there. Yes, you’ve hit on it, girls are shallow gold diggers.

  29. Raemie L. says:

Enjoyed looking through the Furtograph (“furtographers’”?) portfolios. :) ) (Good thing it’s still a Sunday night over here, as there are a lot of pics.)

Puppeh’s high school profile lists Yearbook as his extracurricular. Perhaps he’s an arts or audio/video geek?

  30. Holly says:

He seems like the soccer playing type..who can recite entire Monty Python sketches…whether you like it or not.

  31. carmen says:

    what a cutie pie!

  32. cheryl says:

@berthaservant, let me clarify: THIS girl likes geeks. although george clooney is welcome to sweep her off her feet anytime (tapping foot impatiently). i’m not getting any younger, george….

  33. vonvon says:

Tommy is the most earnest-looking little 7th grader I’ve ever seen.

  34. Katrina says:

    Get in Line, Cheryl, dear…..

  35. Totalee Puppy says:

    I think it’s Millard Fillmore…
KATRINA–I had such fun pretending that I could send you a serenade–Dream on, Totalee Puppy…It was near the end of “Red Light-
Green Light” on a note to
Berthaservant with a note to Katrina…It’s so okay
    to laugh at my notes…

  36. Katrina says:

This is a fun thread- yeah, I know this kid, he is my kid’s best friend.

TP- are you a singer too? Wow, we have lots of musical peeps!

  37. ThreeCatNight says:

Why does Geeky Pup remind me of Billy Mumy from “Lost in Space”? Geez.
