Hey, Wanna See an Impression?

"Check me out — I’m a duck!  QUAAACK!  Boy, I could really go for some stale bread right about now, because I’m a duck!  Get it?  In fact, I’m buying a round of stale bread for the house — just put it on my bill!"

(crickets chirping)

"I said ‘put it on my bill!’ … because I’m a duck!"

Sheesh, tough room.

Um, we’ll let you know, Natalie G.

  3. Monique says:

Cute puppy! Is that a Shiba Inu?

I guess he loves the smell of people feet, ew!

  4. Not That Mike The Other Mike says:

@Monique: According to the sender-inner, that IS a Shiba Inu, and it does indeed enjoy putting its nose in shoes.

  5. MadameX says:

  6. VentureSister says:

For a second I thought this was MY dog, a shiba named Henry. Oh, I miss him so! This picture doesn’t show the best part of the shiba, the curly shrimp tail! Positively adorable.

  7. Melissa H. says:

Probably more like “Mmmm, stinky shoe!”

  8. This is NOT what I meant when I said I wanted Hush Puppies!!!

  9. alexa says:

    “oh no poor puppy!”
nine out of ten doctors agree that shoe sniffing is addicting.
(tenth doctor is in a S.S.Anonymous rehab facility
and could not be reached for comment.)
shoe scents are highly addictive and can lead to compulsive behavior such as
stealing shoes, hiding shoes, and wanting only to lay about all day and night sniffing shoes.

My Shiba Arrow loves to stick her snout into everything and take a big whiff, hahaha. Must be the hunting instincts!

  24. Carolina2 says:

Aww! Lots of animals love sniffing shoes! My cat Nik-Nik used to SLEEP in my shoes when she was a kitten, and she will still lie on top of them if I leave them out. (And NO my feets don’t stink!!) Really. BTW, she’s 14 now, and still loving shoes.

  25. Donsie_Lass says:

OMG, thanks so much for featuring a Shiba! They have been my favourite since I was twelve or so and I am still desperate to have one just as soon as I can buy a house where I can keep pets. Adorable!

  26. DaytimeDeb says:

My kitty Sasha LOVES sniffing my shoes, especially as soon as I take them off after work. Yesterday she wanted my attention (or kibbles, not sure which). I had to do something else first — I know, the nerve. I took off one sandal and dangled it in front of her. Her ears perked up, and as soon as I dropped the sandal she was all over it. When I dropped the second sandal, her demands for attention/kibble were temporarily forgotten. It bought me the extra 10 minutes I needed!

  27. DaytimeDeb says:

I just realized how sick that story sounds…

  28. Awwww, I want one of those! Looks like a lil fox!!! :D

  29. Pups'nstuff says:

    that must smell… um… deelishious.

  30. Katrina says:

Puppeh is just making a lasting imprint of her person’s scent. Killer Corgi rolls in stuff outside to make sure she carries that fine odor (I mean scent) with her. All instinctual to the breeds, but boy, is it cute!

Put him to work I say, Does he have anything in a 9 1/2 wide?

  31. mberkie0 says:

Smells deelishious to pupster mebbe, NOT to me! Mr. Picky disdains sniffing shoes, but “unmentionables,” now that’s another story.

  32. ju says:

OMG it IS shane!!! hahhaha natalie i was about to call you and say there’s a shiba IDENTICAL to shane on cuteoverload! haha amazing. poor bebeh.

  33. Natalie says:

Oh my little shiba Shane – i awoke this very morning to find the wee sneakster elegantly peeling the sole off of my favorite pointy flats under my bed. he’s a naughty boy but his sweet little slanty eyes and soft pointy ears are Irresistibuhl !!!

  34. Katrina says:

Natalie- How about it, does he have anything in a 91/2 wide? What a cutiieee! This should put a spring even in your barefooted step because your shoes don’t exist anymore! Careful out there–

  35. ThreeCatNight says:

“Is there a doctor in the house?! We have a puppeh crisis.”
    “I’m a doctor! Dr.Scholl’s the name!”
“Thank God you’re here — it’s not too late!”

  36. Katrina says:

    OH, ooh, Sesame Street again:
    I’m a duck
    I’m a workin’ duck
    I’m a hard workin’ duck!

  37. Theresa says:

Katrina, I thought that was Muddy Waters. :P

  38. Jenn in IL says:

    SHIBA INU!!!!! YAY!!!!!

The proshest of the prosh puppehs out there.

  39. marie_n says:

prettiesss!!! that puppy is sooo cuuuuute! not cuter than mine, but it comes in a close second. wow it looks so soft. and the warm puppy belly! snooffffff!

my boyfriend’s shoes would not be quite as appealing. nor would the socks. when i turn them inside out for washing (smartwool socks, don’t want snags) this white powder, i guess from severe sweat and footfunk comes flying off of them. totally digusting. :(

  40. Monique says:

marie_n, ew! Make him wash his own socks!

  41. Kimski says:

That dog looks like he loves shoes more than some women.

  42. skippymom says:

@marie_n: Way, way, way too much information. Made me feel ill.

  43. marie_n says:

monique- if i made him do his own laundry, he’d be doing separate loads for everything, even a load for just socks. totally wasteful. he tries to just wash his clothes too so it makes it very inconvenient when i need to wash my clothes and i don’t have enough for a full load. complete dork. plus he doesn’t know how to fold.

  44. vonvon says:

My cat Ottie loves shoes, but only if they’re red. When I wear red shoes I have to put them on at the last minute and run out the door before he sees them. Otherwise he runs me down and tries to take them off my feet.

Shane has the loveliest paws, I’d like to hold hands with him. In my mind they smell like freshly buttered popcorn.

  45. Dru babe says:

*Gasp* Is that a Shiba Inu!!!! I want one of those soooo bad, but my mom hates dogs and besides, I heard that there really high mantainance. Still, there soooooooooooooooo cute!!!

  46. Katrina says:

Is Imelda Marcos still alive? If not, could this be her in doggeh form?

I never had trouble with shoes and pets, but buttons, now that is a distinct problem, many of my best clothes have been debuttoned by Killer Corgi, leaving a lovely round hole. Caked with fur, too but that I expect. As one of or peeps called it last year “Corgi Tweed”. No, wait my husband lost a pair of No Balance running shoes, I’d forgotten that- *sheesh* what we put up with for our companions!

  47. XxPorkchopxX says:

aww but poor dog..has to smell stanky shoes

  48. Brenda says:

I hope that shoe smells good! LOL! :)

  49. Fegli says:

This pup has good taste in shoes, anyway!

  50. Mimi says:

    I have those shoes!
