Your Throne Awaits, O Queen of Cuteness

by Not That Mike The Other Mike on August 24, 2008

As the Puppy Philharmonic Orchestra plays the Cutania national anthem, and a thousand dancing kitties scatter rose petals across your path, loyal Red Panda slaves carry you to the throne room, where members of the 91st Teddy Bear Brigade have assembled for your comfort…

... and then you wake up, and it's Monday. Sigh ...

Taken at the 2007 California State Fair.

OMG NFW.

The only way that chair could get more comfy is by adding REAL puppies!

has lots of stuffed animal chairs, including one that’s entirely composed of pandas…

Hmmm … why do I suddenly feel a craving for the Nutcracker?

Love the Moss Online site suggestion—Like the teddy bear chair? YOU MAY ALSO LIKE DEES!

Art that captures our relationship to animals so well…I can quietly contemplate this….Or, I could roll around in the chair with my cat, enjoying the soft…It’s the weekend, fercrissakes…

But where is the footstool made from nuffers?

10 taj 08.24.08 at 7:28 pm

Good catch Maggie! I totally thought of the Campanas’ Banquete chairs!

11 marie_n 08.24.08 at 7:40 pm

my eye is twitching.

12 Erebella 08.24.08 at 7:43 pm

You know, I think I see some doggies and lambies in that chair too. Most depressing hover text ever, though. But that’s okay, it totally fit. We are slaves to our own art, aren’t we?

13 yankeebird 08.24.08 at 8:19 pm

Where’s Patito Gigante? This most definitely made me think of pillowy mounds of mashed potatoes.

14 chanpon 08.24.08 at 8:33 pm

If they made sure to not use stuffed animals with the hard acrylic eyes and noses, I’d so get one of them for my place or for work. I’d lounge on it and never get up.

15 scooterpants 08.24.08 at 8:41 pm

i could not sit on it.
well, the gator chair maybe.
but NO! not the teddy or panda chairs, nuh-uh, no way.
my pommie would think it was a toy dispenser, tearing off one at a time and destroying it.

16 lurkertype 08.24.08 at 9:04 pm

We need to buy one of these chairs for Meg! An actual throne for our Queen of Qte!

17 (the original) Mel 08.24.08 at 9:10 pm

I could sit on it, but not fart on it. Never fart. Sitting okay.

18 Katrina 08.24.08 at 9:29 pm

I could sit on it, I just couldn’t ever get back up again.

19 marie_n 08.24.08 at 9:33 pm

this actually reminds me of the pet-net i had as a child. my parents were convinced that my migraines were caused by allergies and forced me to get rid of my pet-net and my stuffed animals… all 1 million of them. :(

meeemmmmmoriesssss

20 Aesthetica 08.24.08 at 10:01 pm

21 the other Brenda 08.24.08 at 10:29 pm

22 Hon Glad 08.24.08 at 10:47 pm

Well I’ve got one made of inflateable wom.. er, I don’t think I had better go there. :0)

23 Patito Gigante 08.24.08 at 11:22 pm

I feel bad for the stuffed bears who have to sniff the butt that sits in that chair. Now if it were covered with stuffed DOGS, I wouldn’t feel so bad.

25 Totalee Puppy 08.25.08 at 4:41 am

Kinda seems like one of those pile-ups of dancers that were so
gorgeous at the closing ceremonies in Beijing…
Let’s free all the red pandas for a thrilling aerial act
on lighted tree branches while kitties scatter rose petals across the stadium…

26 yankeebird 08.25.08 at 4:50 am

@ PG – I saw the remix last night, and spent all day randomly bursting into “Pillowy mounds…” at my kittehs today. They seemed unimpressed, but I can’t tell if that’s Uncle Phil or my (lack of) singing skills that caused the looks of boredom.

27 Totalee Puppy 08.25.08 at 5:11 am

YANKEEBIRD–Maybe your kittehs just don’t like Pillowy mounds of mashed potatoes…It’s like singing about mounds of grits in the Catskills…Now, I am a Patito Gigante (and Yankeebird) fan–so if anyone bursts into the mashed potatoes song, I am
PAYING ATTENTION!!

28 Totalee Puppy 08.25.08 at 5:20 am

Did you ever have the feeling that you totally missed the point? I think that’s what I just did…Concerned friends are packing a travel bag and will drive me to mashed potatoes rehab…

29 Angelique 08.25.08 at 6:51 am

HAHA I work at the State Fair in the Fur and Feathers Exhibit, and I saw this in the next building!
And I also agree wholeheartedly that Meg needs this awesome throne!

30 Daphne Moss 08.25.08 at 7:31 am

LOL@”original mel” and the could sit; not far post.
Cain’t be done.

31 berthaservant 08.25.08 at 7:42 am

Regrettably, the clever promotion could not sell the Disney executives on the new project, “Cruella’s Revenge: 101 Snow Pandas.”

32 Subhangi 08.25.08 at 7:51 am

What the…

Redonk. Totally redonk.

33 Yitzysmommie 08.26.08 at 2:59 am

Aw, I couldn’t sit on those cute … puppies? bears? lambies? all three??
I’d be all worried about SQUISHING them, ya know?

34 Theo 08.26.08 at 1:09 pm

Seriously, show of hands, who *hasn’t* had this nightmare?

35 Leslie 08.26.08 at 3:05 pm

I would totally sit in that chair and I would snorgle ALL of them. ^_^

Re caption: Red Panda “slaves?!?!” NO! So bad! *scowls* What were you THINKING? *disappointed* -_-
