To everyone who sent good thoughts to me yesterday for Porch Kitty and his surgery, I wanted to say thank you very much. Sometimes people don’t understand why humans get upset over stuff like that, but I knew you all would. Porch did have a large tumor that was removed, and he had to have a bowel resection. It looks like the cancer may have mestasticized as well, but they think (without getting the lab results back yet) that he’s got a “good” six months before he starts getting sick again. He’s already at home eating like there’s no tomorrow, and waves hello to everyone on CO. Thanks again.

I have friends who have two dogs that look like that. They also have four cats. If the dogs are anything like my friends’ animals, they’re really saying, “Oh! We wanna play! Play play play! Let us in!”
(And the cat is saying, “Neener!”)

My mother has a pit bull mix who completely adores “her” two cats. The boys were only eight weeks old when they moved in, and the dog could have eaten both in one bite. Instead she lets them steal her kibble and bat it around the kitchen, as well as take up most of the space on her bed. So sweet!

XOXO to Porch Kitty, and fingers crossed that the vets got more of the cancer than they think they got.

Re: Land shark. I remember that skit. Nothing has ever been as funny as the old SNL!! Like some others, I’m a little older than the 34 yr. demographic.

I to am even more troubled by the “overwhelming female 18-34″ thing from the NYT. I don’t meet either of those. I am a 35 year hetero male engineer and a military reservist in a construction battalion for an extra side of “macho”. I just like to come here to let my mind bask in the goodness of the images and the humor and good peeps. Is there something wrong with me? Gah.
