4 alivicwil 08.29.08 at 12:34 pm

It’s not a big butt! He’s just big tailled!!

5 thepetmuseum 08.29.08 at 12:34 pm

Reminds me of the spot under my oven that one of my cats practically lived in when she was a kitten – I’d go into the kitchen and there’d be this nose-and-whisker set peeping out at ankle level. I didn’t cook much till she got too big for the hole!

6 Aesthetica 08.29.08 at 12:41 pm

puppeh butt!

7 LimeyG 08.29.08 at 12:43 pm

Eeeennnnnhhh!!! Ah, close enough …

8 Aesthetica 08.29.08 at 12:43 pm

…and i wonder if this puppeh is named after derek jeter. derek jeter has a cute butt, too.

9 ashagato 08.29.08 at 12:47 pm

the feets sticking out at the end LOL!!!!
i can’t stand it!

10 Mook 08.29.08 at 12:53 pm

While this vid is amusing & adorable…& really NOT trying to be a total nuffer…I am reminded of a friend of mine whose “round” kitty got himself stuck in a tight spot (while they were away for a weekend) and suffocated to death (the vet thinks the poor little guy might have a had heart attack in his panic).

Everyone, please don’t let that happen to your snarfable beastie…

11 AndreaJN 08.29.08 at 1:01 pm

“THE END” indeed! He has a very cute end!

12 Katrina 08.29.08 at 1:07 pm

I’ll be chuckling about that all day!! Wow, that was cute!

This one gets sent to UCONN!

13 Beachgal 08.29.08 at 1:09 pm

that was too cute. the end with his legs splayed out was just killer. silly dog.

14 Katrina 08.29.08 at 1:10 pm

Would someone in management set up the “e-mail to a friend” part, when you get a spare few minutes? Thanks. K.

15 mary 08.29.08 at 1:17 pm

awwwwwwwwww to cute

16 BBM 08.29.08 at 1:19 pm

eeenh, enh, enh, UGH! I give up

17 Courtney 08.29.08 at 1:27 pm

That doggie is really cute!

I thought he was in the kitchen at first, until I saw the toilet. Whoops!

18 chanpon 08.29.08 at 1:27 pm

OMG, the splayed paws and ‘tocks are too much! How cute!

19 Hon Glad 08.29.08 at 1:29 pm

I love the Grrrn errrk eroww commentary.
When I first got my two Tuxes they soon discovered a gap between the kitchen cupboards, a large stone from the beach solved the problem, and it’s still there.

20 Patric 08.29.08 at 1:30 pm

Ha ha ha…very cute video indeed :)

21 Annie 08.29.08 at 1:34 pm

Reminds me of Winnie the Pooh when Pooh gets stuck in the hole in Rabbit’s wall.

Remember — Mind over matter makes Pooh (er, Jeter) un-fatter.

22 Bobel 08.29.08 at 1:38 pm

Hate to nuff, but I’m glad he didn’t get all the way in there and get stuck… ripping out cabinets can get pretty exspensive. Still, it was cute. :)

23 yankeebird 08.29.08 at 1:48 pm

Are you sure there isn’t a toy in there? I’ve seen my cats have that level of determination when a small toy mouse or foil ball gets tucked back in a corner.

Oh, and who names their dog Jeter? At least name him after someone from the GOOD team… like Beckett or Papelbon. ;)

24 Gail 08.29.08 at 1:49 pm

This just has to be the cutest and cheekiest thing on 4 little legs.

25 tank 08.29.08 at 1:53 pm

This is adorable…aaannnd I *think* puppeh smells something in that hole…mouse maybe?

26 blair 08.29.08 at 2:11 pm

y’know, i bet he used to be a widdle pupper and used to run in and out of there alla time

she should make the hole bigger if he thinks it’s his den

27 jen 08.29.08 at 2:15 pm

PROSH!!!!

28 Katrina 08.29.08 at 2:21 pm

Oh, crikey, yankeebird, it is in your name after all…..
(har, har) the back paws and tail are just toooooo cute.

blair-I bet you are correct, I bet it reminds him of a hole he once was able to fit into-into which he used to fit…

29 Wicked 08.29.08 at 2:58 pm

The tocks kilt me. DEAD I AM!

30 Katie 08.29.08 at 3:16 pm

Awwwww! What kind of puppeh is he?

My Sheltie never tried to get between cabinets (he was more husky than Sheltie), but he always used to “park” his head between my knees when I stood up!

31 Kris 08.29.08 at 3:26 pm

Gosh, wish my big butt was that cute!!!

32 acm 08.29.08 at 3:26 pm

it’s good he has the butt — my cats can get right into tiny holes like that…

33 Kris 08.29.08 at 3:27 pm

P.S. Katrina, way to not end a sentence in a preposition!!!

[What are you talking about? - Ed.]
;-)

34 AuntieMame 08.29.08 at 3:35 pm

“The End”!!! Haw!

35 Katrina 08.29.08 at 3:47 pm

Is there a mirror in there that Jeter can see?
Thank you, Kris.
Way to use the word ‘prepostion’ at the end of a sentence! (insertsmileyfacehere)

36 carmen 08.29.08 at 6:08 pm

loved the ‘tocks at the end : )

37 shpider 08.29.08 at 6:39 pm

Just like Winnie the Pooh !

38 cal 08.29.08 at 6:41 pm

As the weeks go by, the hole just gets smaller and smaller…

…mysteriously!

39 Janelle 08.29.08 at 6:47 pm

awww that little pup! It’s a good thing he has that bit butt, if he made it through the whole way they might have to rip out those cabinets! Plus, it’s cute to just watch him try so hard :)

Sometimes my dog will try and climb under the bed, it usually ends with her being stuck and her hind legs sticking out. Luckily, it’s easy to lift up the bed to let her out! :)

40 E 08.29.08 at 7:01 pm

Darn. The video is no longer available.

[Nope, it's working. (somebody *always* says this, sigh) Press the F5 key and try again... - Ed.]

41 gravyboat 08.29.08 at 7:48 pm

Ha! There must have been a runaway toy or treat in there.

42 berthaservant 08.29.08 at 9:29 pm

Splayed ‘tocks “CHiPs”-style freeze-frame at the end FTW!!!

Although, to be honest, the dog is just doing something he saw in a million episodes of “Tom and Jerry.”

43 Chakolate 08.29.08 at 9:58 pm

If he weren’t growling a bit when trying to get in there, I’d say it was just a hole he’d gotten too big for. (< ---preposition. sue me.(raspberry noises))

But the growling makes me think there’s a little mousie or two back there.

44 girlnextdoortn 08.29.08 at 11:46 pm

I’m guessing Michael Jeter, of Mr. Noodle (and Evening Star) fame. Puppy’s ’stache is strangely reminiscent.

45 girlnextdoortn 08.29.08 at 11:47 pm

Evening SHADE. Dangit.

46 Totalee Puppy 08.30.08 at 12:25 am

One of my favorite stories when I was little–Now I keep thinking of it as “The Pudgy Little
Puppy.” Not to end a sentence in a preposition– It’s the picture of the puppy of which I am most fond.

47 calien 08.30.08 at 12:38 am

Aww, too friggin’ cute. Reminds me of my chi mutt, who for some reason loves sticking her head into this giant metal pipe we have in the backyard (for some reason) and growling. And when I tap on the pipe and it makes a ‘bong!’ sound, she whines. What a dummy.

48 Leilani 08.30.08 at 12:45 am

What you *don’t* see is the mouse that’s been dead for three days in that space betwixt the cupboards–li’l Jeter wants to get in and roooooll in it…

49 Leilani 08.30.08 at 12:46 am

P.S. Katrina–I’m proud of you!

50 Totalee Puppy 08.30.08 at 12:54 am

Caring about prepositions is a sign of someone who is writing for a school newspaper…I do break the rules sometimes, so that someone will have the mistaken idea that I am cool…Outbreaks of
“Puppy Fever” can be a problem…

51 yankeebird 08.30.08 at 1:28 am

@ Katrina
I didn’t pick the nickname! It was bestowed upon me by some Brits. I’d much rather be soxchick or something along those lines but this has been long established. :D

52 Layla42 08.30.08 at 2:21 am

Puppeh butt! Puppeh butt!

53 jenjen 08.30.08 at 3:04 am

The music really made that. Great butt on that pup. I think if it were my place I would baseboard over that hole though – he’s bound to get something lodged in there eventually like a chew-bone or worse.

54 crazyweinerdoglady 08.30.08 at 3:53 am

It’s a good thing you’ve got a big butt, mister… CRACKS me up every time I hear it

55 lw 08.30.08 at 4:32 am

OMG SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE
THANKS FOR SHARING

56 Hon Glad 08.30.08 at 5:55 am

Yankeebird; If it was we Brits who bestowed you, it was probably in retaliation for all the GIs bestowing us. :0}

57 Barbarella von Fluffenstein 08.30.08 at 9:45 am

LOL!!! The tocks at the end kill me… :)

58 Katrina 08.30.08 at 12:19 pm

Dear Yankeebird, OK, I won’t tease you about it. I really like that you are a Baastan person and a true fan- your humor is just wonderful! As said previously, I live with the Yankee-loving bunch, and so, am more familiar with them. I do like the sound of the name ‘Papelbon’-it sounds kind of warm and fuzzy, and a great name for Papillion!

59 yankeebird 08.30.08 at 2:31 pm

@ Hon Glad – the only time the name causes me problems is when it becomes about baseball. The rest of the time, I wear it with pride. I love my UK friends.

@ Katrina – definitely a Bahstan fan! My sympathies on living with the Yankee-lovers. It must be tough to be surrounded by the willfully ignorant. ;) (Just kidding, folks, untwist them knickers.) And I think Papelbon the Papillion would be brilliant!

60 Momcat 08.30.08 at 3:14 pm

Couple of answere…on the original post it says puppersons is a Havanese…and the Little Golden Book was THe POKY Little Puppy, not Pudgy. This post sure made me feel better after the ones that made me cry. LOL’ing still.

61 Momcat 08.30.08 at 3:15 pm

OOPS sorry can’t type, wearing a very stiff wrist-and-thumb brace.

62 Noelegy 08.31.08 at 12:31 am

Yeah, I thought of the late character actor Michael Jeter as well. That scruffy look. And the paws-out surrender at the very end is exquisite.

63 Totalee Puppy 08.31.08 at 4:03 am

How would I get along without you,
MOMCAT? So glad you are enjoying this post…Sorry about the wrist-and-thumb brace…hope it’s just for a while…
Thinking of you,
Totalee Puppy

64 Subhangi 08.31.08 at 9:07 am

SQUEEEEEEEE!!! Floofeh puppeh! Love the resigned flop at the end!

65 Katrina 08.31.08 at 11:10 am

Momcat- ibid Totalee Puppy and add on more good wishes! Please be careful typing, it can really stress a hand…as you already know.

66 Janni 08.31.08 at 5:04 pm

Awww, this reminds me of my doggy, he used to do the same when he was a pup 14 years ago. Only he would also get stuck and then start screaming for help.
I miss him.

67 Kiki 09.02.08 at 7:03 pm

Awwww! A tibetan terrier! I have one too. She makes funny grumbling noises like that all the time also.

And plus, she just got groomed and for some reason it actually looks like her ‘tocks has cheeks now. Haha weirdddd!

68 Kiki 09.02.08 at 7:06 pm

Oh shoot, guess it’s not a tibetan. (Didn’t read above.)
But havanese and tibetans are pretty much the same anyways. But mine’s biggerrr. :P

69 L 09.07.08 at 3:49 pm
