Hey my last name is “Crocker”, and my first name begins with a B. Just to head off the inevitable questions, when I step into a classroom (especially Jr High) I always say “My name is Mr Crocker, and no, my wife isn’t named Betty, nor are any of my family members named Betty, and my name certainly isn’t Betty. Also, please remember that first R – its the most important letter in there.”
