It loaded but would only play a few seconds at a time. You might think that her little singsong was annoying without pauses to load, or think, or stall, or whatever, but it was far more annoying with stops and starts. LOL @ Anonycat, however.

Hahah! I´m Nelly´s mummy here, and no I´m not the same lady with the gorgeous little Siamese “Alaska”.
We (featured Nelly, her nemesis Lugosi and his twin brother Spider) live on a tropical island called Lanzarote and it´s HOT here right now, plus Nelly really doesn´t tolerate grooming (= torture!) too well – if you don´t believe me, there´s a video on our youtube channel with a demonstration on how she turns into a *monster* when being touched in the *wrong places* in particular (under the arms, inside of legs e.g.).
Anyways, that´s why she has a lion cut. And with her colouring, I think it´s *dead cute* cause she does look like a mini-lion.

Aww. I love cats in boxes. This afternoon, in spite of it being 80+ F in my apartment, I found my two kitties snuggled together (one “hugging” the other) inside a box I had been planning to break down.
I just didn’t have the heart to take away their little love nest.

Kris: Nelly is actually from Berlin in Germany (I am German too, but I moved to London when I was 18 and lived there for 20 years!), so she would probably sound more like “ja ja, zis ist meine Box! U do not touch meine Box!”

Kestrien: thanks for posting that. Imagine having to do that every single DAY?! Well, I had a talk with Nelly and she agreed that once a week was acceptable, but then it comes to that day… and she turns into monster kitty at the sight of the detangling comb!
Btw, in that video, her fur was only *half* as long as it is when it´s fully grown. The video was done about 3 months after she got shaved last year. To fully grow back it takes about 5 months. The best fur length she has about 2 months after shaving – she´s like a little fleecy lion-lamb, so soft and fluffy! I wish I could stop her fur growing at that point!
She looks like a big kitty! Maybe my perspective is just all messed up.
OMG, I just watched the grooming video. I feel your pain, no really, I literally feel your pain! I used to have a sweet little kitty who would claw people with very little provocation (I think she was abused before I got her). I put soft paws on her b/c I am on the same page as your are about declawing, but I also didn’t want her hurting me or my guests. Oh my dog, the noises she made during that operation! You would have thought I was strangling her! What a hysterical video. The louder Nelly yelled the harder I laughed.

One of my theories is that she´s just a drama queen and likes to complain and make noise (I call her *J-Loaf* when she´s in kitty loaf position, heh), just like some humans are like that.
Nelly was definitely saying NO NO NO to the grooming!!! Loved the upward stampy feet near the end.

This is when we need to stage an intervention – when the kitty’s addiction to the box prevents them from seeing the hurt they’re doing to his family and loved ones (Yes, I’ve been watching way too much of the A&E melodrama that is Intervention).
