3 jen 07.06.08 at 4:41 pm

4 J 07.06.08 at 4:42 pm

KFC – not funny at all.

[Yeah OK whatever but they were one of the first fast food chains to stop using trans fats... - Ed.]

5 warrior rabbit 07.06.08 at 4:46 pm

Wa ha ha ha! So cute. And a great ostrich impersonation, too. Sign that chick up for America’s Got Talent (which is for the birds, anyhow, nyuk nyuk nyuk).

6 nycat 07.06.08 at 4:47 pm

I knew there is a reason why I’m a vegetarian! Bebeh so cute!

7 jazmella 07.06.08 at 4:56 pm

I hear ya, nycat! I couldn’t live with myself knowing I devoured that sweetheart!!

Aww, I want to hug and kiss the little one!!

8 Layla42 07.06.08 at 5:38 pm

Aww! Sweet sleepy chickie!

9 Shadyman 07.06.08 at 6:20 pm

LOL@Cute Timeline

10 ladyhovercraft 07.06.08 at 7:02 pm

I don’t like this, those chicks don’t look healthy to me.

11 Khadija 07.06.08 at 7:22 pm

ladyhovercraft – do you mean the wing??

12 Theo 07.06.08 at 7:23 pm

It’s because of that mean trick that everybody’s always playing on them, Lady Hovercraft. It takes its toll. Poor things.

13 Wicked 07.06.08 at 7:26 pm

Watching babies of any sort fall asleep is never not cute and adorable.

14 chapon 07.06.08 at 8:17 pm

I do that too, and I’m no bebeh. :( Sooo cute, and I was really rootin’ for the chickie to roll right over!

15 binky-mama 07.06.08 at 10:58 pm

Wow. That’s the first time I’ve seen a STANDING face-plant. Chick’s got skills.

16 tuckeverlasting 07.06.08 at 11:52 pm

I love it, love it, love it!!!

17 jaypo 07.07.08 at 12:53 am

Do this floof make my butt look big?

Hey, NTMTOM! Whattup? Long time…

18 Elizabeth 07.07.08 at 2:00 am

I do have to say i like the baby that walks right past the sleepy one. Both are very cute.

19 Leilani 07.07.08 at 2:00 am

Awwww, poor little sleepy chickabiddy.

20 HoneyB 07.07.08 at 3:01 am

I like Meg better… come back Meg. She’s always funny.

21 Mike Cullen 07.07.08 at 3:51 am

Good thing Buffalo wings are made from Buffalo, and not cute chickens.

22 scooterpants 07.07.08 at 3:52 am

hmm. proly the only pure sleep the lil bugger ever got. (yah. i eat chicken, but not KFC)
hummpphh. dont wanna be a nuffer, wanna be one of those peoples with the ‘glass half full’ mentality…. is not so freshie-fresh. sorry.

23 warrior rabbit 07.07.08 at 3:53 am

Really? I think NTMTOM is funnier. I’m glad she delegated posting duties to him, ’cause in addition to bringing the funny, he fills gaps when she’s busy. Hmm. I guess that kind of makes him an enabler.

24 Stellaluna 07.07.08 at 3:59 am

Mwahahahah! Cute yellowy chikenz so cutez!

25 Moonlight 07.07.08 at 4:33 am

The chicks look healthy to me. Totally normal for them to nod off while standing. Chickens are amazing… eggs meat and cute.

26 Liz 07.07.08 at 4:35 am

awwww baby chickies. BABY CHICKIES!

Cutest thing ever.

27 Audrey 07.07.08 at 5:17 am

I was expecting it to do a somersault… :D

28 LisaL 07.07.08 at 5:18 am

Awwww… bebeh chick so tietie!
It is absolutely adorable that no matter what species of animal, whether it’s a human, dog, cat, whatever, the babies always do this. SO freaking cute.

29 Jupiter Star 07.07.08 at 5:57 am

I find myself hoping that any minute now, I’ll wake up from this nightmare of a weekend to find out it’s all a dream. And I hope that when I do, I look just like that baby chick. Actually, I hope I AM that baby chick. It’ll mean that the dead parakeet and the grabby guy at the gas station never happened to me even in my dreams.

…my poor little Xander used to sleep just like that on my shoulder, too…

30 hon glad 07.07.08 at 6:32 am

This could be me at work. My job is so thrilling.

31 Angelique 07.07.08 at 6:36 am

Aw I’m so sorry about your parakeet Jupiter Star…I would be devastated if my birds passed away also.

32 Digital Infosys 07.07.08 at 7:25 am

Its really look very cute.
I like that video becoz i like babies of animals thats why i have 2 baby chicks.

they r cute were did u get them!:)

34 cheesybird 07.07.08 at 1:15 pm

Gah! Why do people hafta keep comparing Meg and NTMTOM by saying they don’t like the one or the other one’s posts? They’re both awesome in their own individual awesomosity! Meg is like the fabulous wisecracking friend who keeps you in stitches with her funny voices and one-liners, while NTMTOM is like the high school class clown who told funny stories about the teachers at recess. IMO Meg remains the beating heart of this organization, but both Theo’s and NTMTOM’s contributions add to the fun and joy.

So there. :P

35 hon glad 07.07.08 at 1:28 pm

Cheesybird: I second your comment. Also some of the flights of imagination of the posters are brilliant, the different takes on what is after all a simple picture, leave me laughing and wishing I had thought of their invention .

36 Theo 07.07.08 at 2:03 pm

Suddenly I feel a powerful temptation returning… the one that usually leads me to shout out twenty variations of “ASS!” in the comments. Or “ARSE!” perhaps, given the transatlantic nature of this thread.

37 wagthedogma 07.07.08 at 2:33 pm

Go for it, Teho! “ARSE! FECK! GIRLS!!” :D

38 hon glad 07.07.08 at 2:41 pm

Yes Theo its “ARSE” :0}
and for those worried about the chicks wing, its fledging i.e. going from floof to feathers.

39 starling 07.07.08 at 2:45 pm

You forgot “DRINK!”, wag.

And what cheesy said.

40 Theo 07.07.08 at 2:51 pm

temptation… faaaaading…

41 wagthedogma 07.07.08 at 2:59 pm

Man, how could I have forgotten THAT, Starling??? :D (I <3 Father Ted!!)

42 Kris 07.07.08 at 3:16 pm

Very flexible chickie.

43 katiehov 07.07.08 at 4:20 pm

Aw, is that at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago?? They have an exhibit like this. I loooove.

44 Kris 07.07.08 at 4:29 pm

I thought the other little guy walking by was going to ‘goose’ him!

45 warrior rabbit 07.07.08 at 5:40 pm

Cheesybird, they’re called preferences.

46 AuntieMame 07.07.08 at 6:00 pm

Yes, they are, warrior rabbit. And there are better (and more polite) ways of expressing them than saying rude crap like “I wish Meg would come back.”

47 AuntieMame 07.07.08 at 6:00 pm

Not that I’m implying *you* said anything of the sort. But others have, and there’s no excuse for it.

48 Theo 07.07.08 at 6:07 pm

(and anyway, Meg always comes back)

49 starling 07.07.08 at 6:49 pm

Yeah, Meg’s like a boomerang that way, only taller and squishier.

50 A 07.07.08 at 8:25 pm

Can’t anybody just try to take a NAP anymore????

51 the other Brenda 07.07.08 at 10:44 pm

Right on, Cheesybird!!

52 Kathy 07.08.08 at 2:09 am

Really pretty sad – that could be this little chick’s fate.

53 Carlisa 07.08.08 at 4:07 am

Actually, I was trying to find some of the first comments posted (jaypo’s fault!) It’s so cool to see NTMTOM still here. I love the post- *waves* Also Theo *waves* Not much has changed.Oh Wait…T…it’s A$$…umkay ;)

54 NutherDeb 07.08.08 at 2:38 pm

I also enjoy Meg, NTMTOM and Theo’s unique styles. It makes CO even more interesting to have all three of them!!

55 Reblinky 07.08.08 at 3:06 pm

Sad… it is pretty exhausting being a baby chick but unfortunately, not from all the fun they are having and being pet and loved like most people treat dogs and cats… these look like the ones that are being used for class-instruction, only to end up being forced to produce eggs or be de-beaked, stuffed in a cage and end up as someone’s dinner. Wish i could put that tired little chick on the grass with its mom where it could learn to scratch for grubs and be in the sun.

56 Tbone 07.08.08 at 5:14 pm

Yeah, I agree. The KFC joke is not funny at all. Not cool.

57 cheesybird 07.08.08 at 5:19 pm

Starling: “Yeah, Meg’s like a boomerang that way, only taller and squishier.”

*snort!*

Warrior rabbit, I get preferences. But like AuntieMame said, it’s possible to state them without insulting anyone. (And like AuntieMame, I’m not suggesting YOU have done this. It just seems that since NTMTOM started posting, there have been one or two insulting comments on every other post. Which makes me sad. Which makes me seek out more cute. Which just continues to contribute to my CO addiction. Which will lead me to keep forwarding links to my friends. Which will cause them to become addicted as well. Which will prompt them to introduce all their friends to CO. Which will create even more addicts. Which will lead to massive amounts of wasted work hours. Which will lead to the end of Western Civilization. So if you don’t want to be responsible for the end of Western Civilization, for pity’s sake, don’t insult any of the posters here. I beg of you!)

58 I'm a chicken 07.08.08 at 7:18 pm

I’m a chicken
I’m a chicken
I’m a chicken
I’m a chicken
I’m a chicken
I’m a chicken
I’m a chicken
I’m a chicken
I believe I’m a chicken

59 Noelle 07.09.08 at 3:44 pm

Chessybird…so what’s so bad about the end of Western Civilization if it is replaced by loads of cute! I say Long Live The Cute!!!!

I also agree we can express preferences without being negative. Besides variety is the spice of life. Horray for Meg, Mike and Theo!

60 Theo 07.09.08 at 3:47 pm

Not that Mike, Noelle. The other Mike.

;)

61 ashley 07.09.08 at 4:35 pm

I am more disturbed by the other video on the bottom of they bright orange and blue baby chicks….what jackass would dye their birds
