That’s impressive. The “wild hair” episodes usually comes on so quick, that picture taker must have lightning quick reflexes to catch a shot during the shift. Well done, now HEAD FOR THE HILLS, it will all be over soon!

My cats came from the bide-a-wee in manhattan! They’re so great, and they even called me like two years later to check up on how they were doing!

Our cat, Bob, is also a tiger stripe. When we first got him one of the names we considered giving him was Radar, because his ears were so huge compared to the rest of him!
P.S. I like the black spot on Victor’s left foot!
Meg — may I suggest that the webpage have two subpages of feline specialties: The Winston Page & [this guy; have we been informed of his name? If so I must have been too blinded by his silly psycho cuteness to notice ...] This one very nearly equals Winston in eccentric wonderfulness.

Do any of you have cats that chase their tail? Just run around in circles real fast? It’s hilarious. Dogs may fall over and hit stuff when they do that, but cats are beyond that so they can go even faster!

I have a marmie kitten that is doing exactly this every morning at 4 am. My big toes (and sleep pattern) are paying for it!
Last night I served as a giant cat toy to just such a wild-eyed tabby beastie at my local shelter. When the mayhem ended, she flopped on my lap, exhausted, and I got to examine all the little kitten parts. Big bleen!
My Philo, whose markings are very similar to Victor’s, goes through frenzies of biting his own back feet and kicking himself in the head. He also lies on the floor in what we call his “land mine” impression and waits for innocent feet to walk by.
Still think he looks a little tense. Needs to learn to chill.

This little kitty has TROUBLE written all over him. Adopter must wear boots at all times and not move while sleeping.

The nice thing about pix of kittens in shelters is that you can safely assume they are adopted by the time the photo’s uploaded to the ‘net. That little kitty is adorable and a handful!

He’s a manic-cat! I have one of these, his name is Fox. He’s 10 and hasn’t slowed down much at all, really.
I think I’d have crazy eyes like that too if I was being strangled by something too tight around my neck. O_o

I love that this kitty’s eyes are the same color as his fur. ^_^
Kitties frequently suck blankets, often while kneading – goes back to babyhood when they were suckling mama. Could be separated too young from Mama. Could be they just got in the habit. Could be, as badcatrobot suggested above, they’ve been exposed to too much comic violence.
I adopted two kitties from the Bide-a-Wee in Manhattan 8 years ago – and they could not be any nicer! For those not acquainted with it – Bide-a-Wee is a no-kill shelter.
