  1. CoffeeCup says:

    ooh bunny!! prefuzzed!

  2. almost bleen. look at the leeps! mwah!

  3. CoffeeCup says:

I don’t know how much disapproval there is at that age…but I think there’s a good amount of inquiry in his little mind.

“I feel that it is my operational directive to…disapprove…”

  4. Peanutcat says:

Could you PLEASE stop posting images like this? Every time you do, I bruse my nose on my screen trying to nom said image . . . . . *ow*

  5. i was thinking the same things, 1) that bun bebe is workin teh disapproval genes and 2) OW! Smaked my hand on teh screen again!!!

  6. Okay, my head’s spinning from sensory overload! The small, pre-disapproving bun-face, the tiny little toenails, the wee whiskers and finally, I’d like to direct your a-ten-shyons to the human nails which are most definitely NOT french manicures and are quite bee-yoot-iful!

  7. katiedid says:

I disapprove of your tallness.. hurumph…

  8. Hon Glad says:

I normally try to write something amusing. But I find the delicacy and fragility, of this young babe, quite moving. Theo you can not see the tissues from there :0)

  9. Szilvia says:

Nevermind the buh-knee with the power to melt hearts, but am I the only one to notice the manicure of those hands?

Puh-lees girl, give me the number to your manicurist, or tell me your secrets to hands that look as soft as that wee bun-bun?!

  10. Erebella says:

Oh wow, that’s super cute! I love the little pink hairless mouf and those tiny toesies!

  11. marie_n says:

the white dot on the head means that the tiny bun bun has been anointed with teh qte.

  12. The bun is clearly doing his Sun Salutation in the first picture. How dare the human pick him out of his garden during Yoga???

  13. GOOD GAWD! is there anything cuter than baby bunnehs! i’m dyingks!!!

  14. This proves it — the disapproval is shown in the eyes! Since this little bun-bun’s eyes are still closed, he can’t quite muster that look of disapproval. Yet.

  15. NutherDeb says:

    The EYE CAPSULES!!!! Too cute!!

  16. Itty Bitty Tiny Toe Food. Ouchies my nose computer screen arrrgghhhh KER THUDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  17. I love the teensy white dot on the top of the head!

  18. ThreeCatNight says:

    He/she is all ears.
(Okay, I know I’ve taken the obvious route, but can I be faulted? I’m overwhelmed by the preshusness of it all. ^^ )

  19. Improshabuhl!

  20. (the original) Mel says:

The feets. The bunny feets. THE FEETS!

  21. scooterpants says:

    now kids-
as we have learned from previous bun-bun posts, all of the little wild bunns have the white dot on top their little heads.
    vewy cute.
why dont we ever see little bunns like this with their mama’s? dont we know we are NOT supposed to peek them up?
just enjoy from a distance w/our telephoto lenses if necessary.
    hmmm ?
please return to its bunneh nest, we will all rejoice.
and go wash your hands please.

  22. =/ I want. I also want a hedgehog. I wonder if they will get along.

  23. Ashley — don’t expect them to snuggle.

  24. =/ maybe they will let me snuggle with them though

  25. Meh. It’s a baby rabbit.

:: googles “how to steal a baby rabbit” ::

  26. . . . and I will love him and squeeze him and call him George.

  27. AuntieMame says:

If the NASA gig doesn’t work out, bun-bun can always do some moonlighting as the Sphynx.

  28. Meg’s captions always make me laugh out loud!

  29. wagthedogma says:

    Must…resist…tiny chest fur swirl… *headasplodes*

  30. I just, I just, IT’S SO TINY AND SNORGABLE!!!!!! I WANTS!

  31. He’s soooo cute! Aw.

  32. Kate S. says:

scooterpants–I did not take the baby bun from its home. I was rescuing it from my cat who you can see in the background of the second pic.

  33. Marianne says:

    zomg what an angel!!

  34. chanpon says:

I lurves me some little rounded bunny ears. Eeek, he disapproves of your sight and vision, even at such a young age.

  35. Michele says:

so much disaproval. at such a young age, we are doomed.

  36. zeldapie says:

In the second pic he’s all “ehn! ehn! lemme go!”

  37. Is it a hare?

“I think you’ll find the hare is a much larger animal.”

  38. Heh, I thought it looked more like “Zzz zzz lemme sleep!”

  39. Sind teh wagun foar pikup an deliverii tew Noarth Mishun Road STAT.

  40. marie_n says:

  42. miltoncat says:

    I must eet heem.

  43. BeanSidhe says:

Just what I needed after the day… a cute lil’ bun-bun with sleepy face and fuzzies and and and…

  44. scooterpants says:

Kate S – of course i was not speaking specifically of this instance. there are always reasons to save a bebeh bunn.
and that there kitteh is a good one. 🙂

  45. Backstory, backstory!!

He’s so young and fragile. Was the bun found or is it from a pet? I can’t believe how vulnerable it looks, awwww.

  46. Juniper Jupiter says:

Me: Hmmmm…that first pic looks like an otter! **scrolls a leetle beet**

OHMYGAH!!! White button on a bunneh!! Must BOOP! **boops second pic!!**

  47. Redbone says:

Aw, and look at the little white spot on the middle of his head. Cute little guy, disapproval and all.

  48. marie_n says:

i’m not sure if this bun is done. it needs to be put back in the bun-o-matic oven for another day or two, possibly with a blankie and pillow. bun bun looks sleepy. sleepy beepy.

  49. Redbone says:

D’oh, I didn’t see your comment there, Juniper Jupiter.

I think that bunny needs a “Beep” animation on that little white spot.

    *ahem*Teho*cough* 😉

  50. Ok I’m dead on serious you CAN NOT post all this cutey wootsy stuff any more….cuz it makes me explode of joy I really luv ur website ur way awesome!!!!!

  51. That first pic is proto-disapproval in action. sort of “when I get workable eyes, I will return and disapprove EVEN MORE!”

Nice rescute, Kate S, and awesome nails.

  52. Theresa says:

Yes, none of those tacky porno nails for this bunny!

  53. Guess how much I love the baby bunny?

To the END of the INTERNET.

    And back.

  54. binky-mama says:

The white spot is where you’re supposed to kees. 🙂

  55. Beth (in NC) says:

    snusnu… hhhhehehehehe, I love that movie. 😀

Kate S.- My cat brought me a duckling once, and I had no idea what to do with it! What did you do with this mini-bun? Other than cuddle it, of course, and accept its wee little thanks.

  56. Birdcage says:

    Wabbit season.

  57. Beth–Lots of cuddling, then I let it go, after I made sure the cats weren’t going to harm it.

  58. Beth (in NC) says:

Kate S.– I am super jealous of the cuddling. 🙂 That baby is way too snorgle-inducing. I hope it thinks fondly back on the kindness of hoomans (I guess not so fondly of cats, considering… but you can’t win them all!)

  59. Adorable bunny babe there, but honestly, I just Had to comment on those Beautiful nails! Just lovely!

  60. Ross1219 says:

I’ll be taking over your planet. Yawn…tilt…or not…
    (another foiled planetary conquest)

  61. [Looks at bebeh buh]

    [Looks at hand]

  62. divinemsk says:

Well done, Kate S! Well done. 🙂

And Scooterpants: You don’t see pics of baby buns with their mamas because their mamas hide them well, and only come feed them once or twice a day for *maybe* five minutes at a time, and generally in the evening.

And actually, you ARE supposed to pick them up if you find them outside the nest at that age. Then you’re supposed to put them back in the nest and cover them up (with maybe a quick detour for a photo shoot!).

Otherwise, they’ll die. And that’s not cute at all!

  63. Actually, if you pick up tiny baby rabbits, YOU’LL die. Seriously. Little-known fact of life. Also, you’ll die if you DON’T pick up tiny baby rabbits.

  64. Is anyone else seeing the **KISS HERE** white spot on top of the head. I think I will be the first to take advantage, mwahahah!!!!

  65. “Beautiful nails”? You’ve got to be kidding me. Look at all that gunk buried under her nails. I’m sorry but I’ll never take seriously a woman who has nails like THAT.

[What, you mean like a woman who happened to find a baby rabbit outside in the dirt? The horror! – Ed.]

The bun is irresistibly cute tho.

  66. Awww! Pwecious =3

  67. So sweet! Is he still doing okay Katie?

  68. you let it go? it’s eyes aren’t even open yet.

  69. Hahaha Dangster, I think you answered your own comment, it’s obvious that those nails are clean with the exception of the occasional dirt-from-picking-up-baby-bunnehs-off-the-ground!
[Actually, Szilvia, when you see the brackets like this, and the “-Ed.” on the end, which is short for “Editor”, then it means I’ve added something. This is Theo, btw; I’m the moderator. Welcome to the party… – Ed.]

I’m talking perfect cuticles and such.. but I’m going to stop here because I’m starting to sound like the creepy type of person who rants about ppls manicure -instead of the type of person who rants about teh cuteness of animals! ;-P

  70. Donotapprove says:

Just so you know. Now that you have touched that bunny the mom will have nothing to do with it. Once you touch baby bunnies, the mom abandons them because of the human scent… good job.

  71. How adorable!

  72. binky-mama says:

@Donotapprove- Are you suggesting that she let her cat eat it?

  73. opie_jeanne says:

    I don’t think that’s exactly true.

[Right. It’s not true about baby birds which have “fallen out of the nest,” either. Grownups tell kids this to trick them out of touching the wildlife, which I suppose is all to the good, but I think it’s better not to lie. Just tell kids they need to trust that mama bunny/bird/badger knows what she’s doing, no matter what it might look like to you. Nature doesn’t always work like school or dinnertime as you know it. Leave the baby alone, it’s just tiny and too fragile. – Ed.]

  74. opie_jeanne says:

Kate S. did the right thing. This site has the info about rescuing baby bunnies.

  75. Kate S. says:

Bunny is doing just fine, it wasn’t abandoned, or eaten.
(And I’ve never had a manicure, I only file them, and once in a while I use nail polish, but thanks for the compliments!)

  76. Never knew baby bunnies were so cute !

  77. looks like a puppy

  78. Has there ever been more nommable earlets?!

I want to kiss it’s little bunny chest!

  79. It looks like he’s doing yoga! Sun greeter position!
