Cute Overload :D
With on-bun libbick, I’ll slurbburp your fay-base cle-bbean obboff!
< <–fish lips shape
These pics taken at the FABULOUS Kenya Giraffe Manor by Sender-Inner Ariane V.
Talk about HotLips!! And that’s quite a Hot Tongue to boot!!
Pretty Bleenin’ Freaky!
This disturbs me.
Still, here’s yet another reason to build treehouses.
Angelina Jolie watch out!!!
There’s a new pair of lips in town!
Spot the warthog behind the baby in pic #1!!
Those are some serious lips!
*sings* Only in Kenyaaaa!
(I’m happily passing along the earworm%Pr
Yay! Giraffe’s! There’s definintely been a lack of giraffage on this site!
Ack! Thank’s hardworker!😉
I like giraffes. That is all. 🙂
I wish we had gotten this close to some giraffe libbippage when we were in Africa! I guess we’ll just have to go back and try again.
Warthogs-a face only a mother could love!
Reminds me of a date I once had.
I kinda wanna make out with that giraffe, even though it’s pretty clear it would cost me my life.
I wonder if you could scritch and pat a giraffe’s head the way you can with a horse. I wonder if the giraffe would enjoy it or if it would break your arms with its weird black tongue.
Having visited both the Giraffe Manor and the Giraffe Centre in Nairobi, Kenya – I believe that is probably actually at the Giraffe Centre. http://www.giraffecenter.org/
Tons of baby warthogs at the centre . . . less so at the Manor.;-) And the treehouse is a dead give away.😉
Wonderful photo though . . . gotta love the tongues!
Hey folks! Go to the closest zoo! The ones in Columbia SC and Ashboro NC both have a giraffe feeding bridge. So much fun to have her eating out of my hand!
Well, now, I don’t know if I’ve shared this with you, but I WANT A GIRAFFE!
Oh, yes, I know I have said this before but I WANT A GIRAFFE! Maybe it is because I have a Welsh Corgi and I’m compensating. Thank you for showing us giraffes and thank you Laura in atlanta, for the extra giraffes. Oh, what a good day- and thank you.
Seeing the captioning made me think of this guy, completely unrelated to giraffes but he is sorta cute. 😉
Kinda reminds me of Jar Jar Binks.
Now I know where my stash of blue raspberry jolly ranchers went! *scowls*
odd facts to know and tell:
a giraffe’s tongue can reach lengths just short of two feet.
Ok.. Metz.. why does the Libbipper Giraffer remind you of a robot? I MUST be missing something.
Ok, who wants ta SNORGLE!!!!
Hey, mebbe they should put that cat on that giraffe…
A match made in HEAVAN!!!
Im TELLIN ya!!!!
verbage dus remember one of… the most fabulous… Butt-Wheet! (aka eddie murphy) of saturday night live fame.
(dating myself now i’m thinkin)
tanks for the memories!
You ever see Buck Rogers?
Twiki had a standard phrase
Meg’s capshuning made me think of that is all. Like I sed, completely unrelated to a giraffe, just a normal segue for my brain.
I saw a documentary on giraffes on Animal Planet last month. They emphasised the fact that giraffes drool. LOTS!! Thick, long, goopy drool!! Constantly. I wish I hadn’t watched that episode, as I will never again want to snorgle a giraffe!! Some things are best left unsaid. Or, at least unshown!!
sorry ladies, he’s taken.
Eee! On the 5th, hubby and I went to Jacksonville Zoo, and I got to feed the giraffes! It was so much fun!! And yes, they can stick their tongues out VERY FAR, especially when they know food is a coming!😄 I love giraffes!!! Exclamation point craziness!!11!!!
My bro thinks this was the lead guy in KISS…
OMG that’s some funny captioning there, Meg! Gives me the giggles.
Don’t ever let these guys borrow your stuff. I never did get back my Bonne Bell Lip Smackers. (in Starburst Strawberry) OR my Cover Girl Perfect Blend eyeliner pencil.
I think Meg’s reference was to the character “Mushmouth” from Fat Albert. But maybe I’m wrong.
I can touch my nose with my tongue. Just sayin’.
P.S. Giraffes are cool!
LOLing uncontrollably at “libbips” and “slubburp”. Now I’m going to be repeating those words all day long. Thanks, Meg!
(It sounds like frogs, btw. Ribbits.)
Something else we can add to our office supplies. The Bun to open the envelopes and MR. G Raff to lick em and stick em.
bubbyscranky, you already said it. Definitely Jar Jar Binks (from Star Wars). Piccie here for those who don´t know the lovely Jar Jar…
Berthaservant, I immediately thought of Mushmouth too. Think we’re showing our age?
that’s some serious fish-lip action.
it always amazes me about that tongue…it looks black (i think it’s supposed to be purple, rite???)
It’s Ubbie Dubbie! From Zoom! Is anyone here old enough to remember Zoom? Ubbie Dubbie ibbis libbike pibbig labbitibbin fobbor geebeeks!! Or at least for those of us who stayed inside watching TV instead of playing outside!! Tee Heeeeeeeeeeeeee
Bertha & Cheesy – that’s the first thing I thought, too…
*sigh* I thought I’d be able to get away with being 28 still….
*shuffles away to watch reruns of the Great Space Coaster*
Immediately went to “O-be-kay-be Fa-but Albert.” :o)
Another email to my friend who looooooooves giraffes. Katrina, she wants one too!!! (She’s got about 100 giraffe statues and nicknacks in her house!)
1. teho – i see future RCF potential here. no?
2. berthaservant – are you married?
I think these guys were heading over here…
Ubbie dubbie!!! So that’s where the Zoom kids got it from…GIRAFFES!
I-be lo-bove ubba dubbie!!!!
Aww, ubby dubby. That was a long time ago. (And that is one adorable giraffe.)
Giraffe MANOR?! I must go! Loooove giraffes!
If people are interested in seeing more pictures of giraffes, you can find them here: http://www.shannon-jensen.com/blog/?p=50
Just scroll down a bit. There’s some zebra action as well.
1. Kris – “O-be-kay-be Fa-but Albert”
that was my first thought too!
2. newlee beat me to it – BS are u?
3. someone – LOL!
to whoever asked, yeah, a giraffe’s tongue ranges from blue to black. although if you see it extended all the way the back end of it is pink.
1. I watched a lot of ZOOM as a kid. Don’t make me sing the song.
2. I am, as the newspapers say, “unattached.” Except to Bertha, of course (the cat, not the hurricane).
Im going to need for the giraffe to keep his tongue in his mouth-cuter that way
I didn’t think of Mushmouth but Bill Cosby nonetheless. If you’ve ever seen “Bill Cosby Himself” and the dentist bit, that’s exactly how he talks. “Thibis ib my boddum libip. Obeekaybee.”
Bill Cosby does the best sound effects! I had that record!!! Loved his stories about tonsils and the go kart and his father saying, “Stay in the crib!”
When I was a wee little girl I got to feed a giraffe, and it was great until I ran out of peas. Then it started trying to chew on my hair! And yeah, the drool A LOT. Thankfully it wasn’t as fond of little girl hair as it was peas in pods.
Giraffe: “He had fish lips, like this..”
Maybe Mr. Giraffe is singing a duet with this dude:
been there done that lots of fun.
you should all go.
seriously. kenya is fab.
Thank you, Rachel, I really like your pictures. I’m also very fond of flamingos!
Isn’t it Weird Harold who talked like that? Not Mushmouth? I dunno, I haven’t seen Fat Albert in a long time. I used to do an awesome impression of him, before having my tonsils out.
“Ima call you Summer Vacation.”
“Why you call me Summer Vacation?”
As they say in YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, “No tongues! No tongues!”
Weird Harold was the really tall skinny one and spoke regularly. Mushmouth wore the knit cap and scarf and you couldn’t understand him.
this place is awesome. they give you giraffe food pellets to feed them, and the daring can even put the pellets between their lips and get giraffe kisses! <3
Oh, tear my heart out, why don’t you?
