Did somebody order Caturday paw clenching action?

[Looking around the table for who ordered this fine dish] Who ordered the Rule #29 (clenching paws in the air repeatedly)? Be careful, the plate is very hot.

This song is almost tolerable now, Ragnhild K.!

  5. Trisha says:

looks like swimming in air…hard to turn off the sound… much cuter that way!

  6. marie_n says:

kneading the dough! those eyes are like the precious moments dolls, no jokes.

and my dog does something similar when her belly gets rubbed or if she’s sleeping and stretching. she sticks her legs out and pokes you with her feet and kicks at you, sometimes launching off of you. not necessarily a good feeling if you’re in the middle of a cuddle fest. it’s not a conscious kick, it’s sleepy stretch kick to readjust. she’s ok if her back is to me, but if she is facing me then i have to be at least a foot away from her.

  7. marlo says:

I love the kitteh’s GIANT PAWS!

    p.s. I love bjork

  8. Ted says:

    Don’t hate on Bjork!

  9. charliewabba says:

    ooooh, little chocolate footsies!

  10. sadf says:

Is that kitteh part of the Blackfoot tribe?

So my mom’s cat makes biscuits w. her front paws and HER BACK PAWS! I think that’s insane. I’ve only see cats need w. their fronties.

    Also, Bjork rules.

  11. caroline says:

    ooohhh! Those little black-bottom feeties!

  12. bryn says:

That’s a GREAT SONG!! And a GREAT KITTY!

  13. Cutest video evah.

I call the air kneading… “Alternating Paws of DOOM!”

As nothing can survive teh qute.

  14. Jupiter Star says:

Ooo, hooray, it’s my favorite Bjork song! (And one of my favorite songs, period) And the kitteh kneads the air in time to the music! Too much cute to handle!

  15. Becca says:

Ahem….those are called “air biscuits”. You may now return to your regularly scheduled program-thingy.

  16. marie_n says:

the black paw pads make me want to run to the market and buy some blackberries. om nom nom nom. that’s what i always thought they looked like when i was a wee tot.

  17. Juniper Jupiter says:

Tögether with the BEST Björk söng!!! I just asplöded!!!

LÖVE the fuzzy licörice jelly beans hidden in the pöawsss nöm nöm nöm!!

  18. Biscuit Tin says:

That was Bjork? I thought that was Barbara Streisand. Seriously, I’ve never heard Bjork do anything with sensible words, a strong melody and A-B-A song form before. I didn’t have the faintest idea she could SING. I thought she was a cult of personality. You’re yanking me, right? That wasn’t Bjork. Anyway, love, love, LOVE the kitteh. My cats like to knead, but always against something, not just in the air.

  19. Ninjin says:

    Kyaaaa!!!
    The eyes!
    The paw action!
    It’s kiiiiilling me!

  20. chanpon says:

Hope they’re hungry, ’cause it looks like they’ll be eating a lot of biscuits tomorrow!

  21. binky-mama says:

    Pancake paws! Pancake paws!

  22. Clare2 says:

No worries, air biscuits aren’t filling. Say, I’m on my way in a minute to walk one of the cutest dogs in my corner of the world. Maybe I should re-name myself as “Boomer’s Babysitter.” I think my current handle’s not fitting anymore…

  23. dub1 says:

To quote the Swedish chef: dis be Bjork Bjork Bjork!
[sorry, I do great omelettes, not umlauts].

    But Barbara Streisand!?!?
BS’s tone is nasal and slightly flat, and Bjork’s is purer and in tune, and with an Icelandic accent, not ‘pawk da kaw’ Brooklynese.

The song is ‘It’s Oh So Quiet’; it may be on other albums, but I have it on one called ‘Post’.

Check Bjork out! She writes a lot of her own songs and videos, and is a musical [as well as haberdashery] freaky little chameleon [the infamous swan costume springs to mind] diva.

  24. Boomer's Babysitter says:

First thing I thought of, seeing this kitty, was, “he’s super-floofy!” Then I noticed his/her ginormous eyes. Makes me almost want a kitty… (Boomer, BTW, bicycles with his front paws when his tummy is rubbed, and smiles.)

  25. Laura says:

I’m sorry, but that video showed an excessive amount of “air biscuits” and it’s not allowable under subsection 3.VII of the “Cat Law Statutes of 1941″. The charge is compounded by the fact this felonious kitteh has “snowshoe” paws and it’s July. This kitteh is causing riots in the downtown core and people are bleening left, right and centre. I haven’t seen anything like this since the “Excessive Yawning With Pink Mouth Incident of 1993″ (and believe me, I spent weeks picking up the ‘spolded pieces of kitteh lovers from the streets. Not nice).

There is only one thing I can do, and that is confiscate the kitteh. It’s for the good of society.

    * grabs kitteh. Kisses fuzzy wuzzy head. Nibbles jelly bean paws. Then stuffs down uniform shirt. Runs like hell! HAHAHAHA!*

  26. A says:

Kitteh fluffy paws kneading kneading…….and the face!!!! The eyes!!

    The music is fine!

  27. scoobie says:

Yeah it was me, I ordered it

  28. harlemgrrl says:

hold on there , scoobie… that’s *my* snack!

  29. Hon Glad says:

Paws have been on the ink pad.

  30. Ray says:

I live for Caturday and big floofy kittens!

When my kitty’s making biscuits, I gently wiggle the tip of my finger between his pads so he can squeeze my finger. I tried that with the kitty in the video, and now I’ve got finger prints on my monitor.

  31. Ellie says:

Oh, Laura. That was great! Just great. Thank you. I really needed a laugh today and your comment truly did the trick! (You got some kinda real talent there!)

  32. Silent Meow says:

Oh, the kittehtude, the floofitude, the sheer kittiness, and the cuteyness!

    ARRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGggggghhhh!!!

    *splot* *gasp* *is dead*

  33. pitkat says:

I love how the kitteh’s paws are clenching in sync with the music. Hahahha – too cute!

  34. PattyP says:

What prosh floofitude! Love the way the soft music and singing was synched to match air biscuit action!

  35. YoMama says:

    Attention, he kneads it.

    HAH!

  36. Martha in Washington says:

I think somebody needs to mop her floors. Those were terribly dirty kitty paws! Come here poor little kitty, I’ll help clean those paws. *gently wipes paws with washcloth, when no one is looking grabs kitty and runs*

  37. Hmmm….with air biscuits being so popular with the kids these days, I wonder if “Biscuit Hero” for XBox can be far away?

  38. otakuden says:

    the sheer fwuffyness!!!

  39. friend of lambo says:

awesome – but please no subtle disses of our dear enchanting bjork – - that song is a joy and completely beyond tolerable no matter what the visuals!!

  40. flowerfanatic says:

The kitten is a brown tabby Persian. Those “kitty biscuits” are part of a Persian’s personality. That personality is why so many people have them as pets!! I raised and showed them for 25 years and had MANY kitty biscuit/purring sessions. Loved it when the teeny babies learned to do that on mom along with purring contentedly as they nursed. When they do that with their humans, it shows they love them and trust them.

  41. DixiesMom says:

I’m sorry, am I the only one who thought ‘air biscuits’ were… umm… gas? Heehee!

SSQUEEEE!!! I want, I want! My little Dixie is 17, so it’s been 17 loooong years since I had a bebeh kitteh!! I want!!!

  42. CJ says:

The white furry beard, the paws, OMG!!! I have to say though that I love the song.

  43. Kimberly L says:

I agree…the cuteness ALMOST makes the song tolerables. Eh..but not quites…

  44. jmuhj says:

    *SLAIN*

    Teh saussur aizz.

    Teh bottuhl-brush tayl.

    Teh starfissh pawz.

    Teh pansii faiss.

    An ai LURVE Bjork.

  45. JudyB says:

    That face!!! :D

  46. jenjen says:

That has got to be just about the softest looking critter ever. I just want to bury my face in that belleh fur.

  47. AfricanWildCat says:

Isn’t that actually a golden chinchilla? It would explain the green eyes and the glamorous eyeliner. I want one!

  48. Marcia says:

    happy toes!

  49. fleabit says:

Yes, this is obviously Bjork, although I’m not too into her ‘big band’ sound. Love teh paw action, though. One of mine does this all the time, though she’s like 11 years old!

  50. fleabit says:

jenjen, how would you find teh belleh under all that fur??

  51. fleabit says:

Oh, and I DO like Bjork a lot, but not necessarily everything she does.

  52. ashagato says:

love the kitteh, love the big band bjork song, love the spike jonze “it’s oh so quiet” video…

  53. Jacque says:

DixiesMom, do you know about kitten-fostering? Ask your local animal shelter. It’s a total racket. Keep ‘em while they’re cute, then turn ‘em in for a new batch.

  54. StephKaye says:

If you like this song, it’s the finale in the movie Happy, Texas.

  55. Theo says:

Jacque — heh, true enough… but there is actually quite a bit of care required in the meanwhiles. And then, you know, there’s the part where you have to bring them back to the shelter for adoption.

(except of course for Rikki, who then *magically* came back)

  56. riolinda says:

Aww.. that precious little face along with the paw action!

  57. Katrina says:

Laura, oh, Laura, oooooooooo, Laura, can I just pet the kitty cat a little before you run off? Huh, huh? Can I Can I please, Laura?

  58. April says:

    *almost* like this song?!

    What, no love for Bjork?

    *sad face*

  59. Riikka says:

    Björk! Björk! Björk! *oozes love*

And a great big D’AWWWWW at the kitteh – those paws are so adorable I could just burst! I want to skritch that belleh~!

  60. nads says:

Kitties and Bjork! Wowee! What a great post :)

  61. fangwulf says:

Bleh. I’m with you. Dislike Bjork, but CUTEST kittie ever.
